We had a great stay at Riu Palace! We typically stay in luxury resorts when we travel but opted for a more family focused hotel this trip to accommodate the six kids our three families were traveling with which was THE BEST decision! Compromising on some of the 5-star luxuries for the plethora of activities for the kids and endless amounts of food was totally worth it. I was also pleasantly surprised by the room accommodations and hotel grounds. My only “ick” were all the cats on the premises which felt unsanitary and there were a few issues with service. That said, for every poor service experience, there were three good ones to makeup for the bad ones.

Time in Paradise
Would definitely go back! We enjoyed though we didnt get a chance to try all the amenities. Jet Skiing with Sea Cab was horrible though who we went through at the hotel to book made it right for us.

I wanted to say I had amazing time minus the food was lacking even with all the choices . But I had group of 18 people for my birthday and I truly enjoy myself until the end . I get ready check out and was told because my grandson vomited and cleaned with a towel . That I destroyed three towels and had to pay 40 dollars . Never in my life have I had to pay for towels . I reached out to customer service because desk person was rude . They said it’s nothing they can do . I bet my life on it they laundered those towels and are still using them. I have group that wants to go Jamaica 35 people guess where I’m not booking .

Birthday getaway
This is such a beautiful property and the staff is amazing! We went for my birthday and they went above and beyond. We got to our room and had a birthday cake made of towels and and actual cake with a card waiting for us. From start to finish this place was outstanding!!! Thank you so much!
