Charla Burill, Farmington Hills, MITraveled to: Dreams La Ramona Resort and Spa, Dominican RepublicTravel Date: August 2-10th, 2009I would like to preface this review with the trip itself was wonderful and the resort was terrific. We had a great time, great weather, great food and met many nice people. However, because we just received a phone bill for a ridiculous amount I would also like to warn travelers to this resort to make phone calls from the resort by any method other than collect using the number provided in the hotel rooms. I brought an international phone card with me from the United States, but was not able to use it there. Thus, I used the phone in my room to make a collect call home to my mom to provide her with my calling card number so that she could call me. All in all I made 3 collect phone calls for under 5 minutes each.Yesterday, the bill was received. Not only did the phone company round the phone calls up, but also charged $114.00 for the three calls. I figured out that my calls were maybe at most 3 minutes each, less than 10 minutes total. That means I was basically charged $14.00 per minutes to call home to the United States. When I called the company (Teltrust) out of Utah I was told that this was the contract they had with the resort. Thus my advice to all future travelers: to avoid a bitter surprise when you return home from a wonderful trip do not call collect from Dreams La Ramona Resort & Spa. My advice for the resort: get a new contract; I had nothing but good things to say about Dreams until this phone bill was received. Now, any conversation I have is bound to include this negative experience.Sincerely,- Charla Burill

Hello my name is Shereen Abrahams and i stayed at the Sun Village Resort and Spa from August 7th thru August 13th. I am from Bronx, NY. My experience at this resort was great. The resort staff was friendly and helpful and always ready to accommodate their guest. The food was excellent from the breakfast buffet to the dinner buffet...i have never seen so much food. The presentation of the food was also terrific. Also you had three other rest. to choose from at the hotel that included Asian, Mexican and Italian.. The spa and the treatment from the staff is unmeasurable...I plan on visiting this hotel again with my son next year...the only problem thati continued to have after the third night was with my hotel key...otherwise it was an amazing trip!

At first me and my friend were not sure if we could trust the website, we even check with the hotel after we made the reservation to make sure we were in file and not get any surprises and we get there. Another thing we did was that we called the 800 number and asked if that was the price for real cause we were putting a credit card on the web and they told us it was, we also asked if it was one of those trips where you go to a resort and they try to sell you time share and other packages. The representative was very honest and he told us that we were not supposed to go through that cause we were going on vacation, he did said that like in all the resorts people were going to approach us and offer us different things. The site is secure and my friend and I recommend it to anybody is safe and really really cheap like the name. Thanks,Irene Martinez

This all-inclusive resort was perfect for our family. We were two families of five traveling together and the restaurants were very accommodating each night when we requested a table for ten. There was plenty for the four teenagers and two tweens to do. There were activities at the pool, and the beach during the day and there was excellent entertainment at night. Be prepared to walk a lot. There are shuttles from lobby to lobby and from lobby to villas and spa, however, be prepared to wait about 10-15 minutes - maybe more in the evening. Friendly, courteous staff from front desk, to bell captains to housekeeping and in all the restaurants! Would highly recommend and would go back again! Laurie (New Jersey)

My name is Kelvin Henry. I reside in Newark, New Jersey. I visited Barcelo Capella Beach Resort from August 13th- to August 15th. During my stay I thoroughly enjoyed the numerous activities, from the swimming pool to easy access to the beach. The rooms were exquisite and the people were extremely friendly. This is my second time visiting the Dominican Republic, but I must say that this visit trumped the first.

The resort was fantastic. The vacation was worth the money. I could not be more pleased with Cheap Caribbean. This resort was so beautiful and had everything we could want. Transfers that I purchased were easy to use and comfortable. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Just a note of thanks for the rep who assisted me in changing our hotel for our trip to Puerto Rico next month. Unfortunately I don't remember her name but she was very helpful, providing us with multiple options since the change resulted in a lower cost; we decided to upgrade to a suite rather than maintain a credit. We travel to Puerto Rico annually, I always check Cheap Caribbean first because you have the best deals and we've never had a problem with our reservations. We recommmend this site to all our friends when traveling to the Caribbean, it's the best game in town. Thanks for the great deals and wonderful customer service. Michelle Torres-Carmona

Hello, my name is Sonya Earving and I am from West Orange NJ . I traveled to Aruba on August 11-16 of 2009; and I had booked a vacation from your web site.............. I just want to say thank you so much; this trip I took was for 5 nights and 6 days to Aruba. This is the best vacation I had ever had................ I stayed at the Radisson Hotel and Spa............ the staff members was very pleasant .......................... the ride to there and back was right on target...............weather was beautiful and I found this Island to be very peaceful and just amazing. Only thing is the price of the food is very expensive so next time I probably would get the all inclusive package...............which means yes I am going back there.

Hi Toni,We just returned from one of the best vacations we have ever had. This was our first all-inclusive experience - absolutely no worries, an exercise in pure relaxation. The property and the beach were beautiful. The service was amazing. The only real problem on our trip can on the way home - we missed our connection to Knoxville due to weather issues in Houston - so we had to stay overnight and fly the next afternoon. I purchased the enhanced trip mate protection plan for thistrip- so I'm assuming that we can get recover the hotel and meal costs. We did make one mistake on our arrival on Friday - some gentlemen approached us as we left immigration and asked where we were staying. He said - "Oh yes- this way please." They had official looking ID tags and began making recommendations of all the places to visit on the island and offered a discounted rental car rate. It slowly became apparent that this rate was connected to a sales presentation at a Sandos resort at Playa del Carmen. I think all that Herb heard was the rental discount and wanted to pay for the car. I tried to explain what was going on - but we wound up at the rental counter. Fortunately the car was too small for the luggage and Lois' wheelchair so I went back to the counter and cancelled the rental - but forgot about the $190 we had paid the representative. I went back and pulled him aside and he ultimately gave us our money back. I then found an orange-shirted Olympus tour representative who had our packet. We then loaded everything onto the van and headed to the Occidental Grand. We wanted to go into town on Sunday to attend a church service - in this case a mass at the Iglesia Corpus Christi in San Miguel. Another small mistake - rather than asking our concierge, I asked someone in the lobby who offered as discounted rate for a van in exchange for listening to the Occidental Vacation Club presentation. Actually - we were so impressed by the property that we figured the discount was a fair exchange. They brought us a nice min-van and we drove to church. After church we drove to the east side of the island and stopped for a marvelous lunch of agua chile and freshly grilled fish on the beach at Punta Morena. We then drove south to Punta Sur and back up to the Occidental Grand. The next morning we saw what the Occidental Vacation Club had to offer - ultimately winding up at the desk of a sales manager- a very interesting lawyer lady, originally from Alabama but married to the CEO of an engineering firm in Italy. At one point in the conversation she corrected me by saying "Oh no sugar britches" - my wife got a huge kick out of her southern expressions and now enjoys referring to me the same way. We parted friends. Since we had paid our dues - the sales guys in the lobby left us alone for the rest of the trip.We took a snorkeling tour (which made our local Olympus tour man happy) and Herb and Lorna split the cost of a fishing trip with a neighbor in our building - both tours left right from the property pier. Lorna and Herb caught tuna and wahoo. The kitchen at one of the sit-down restaurants prepared their fish for us that evening and it was delicious. I spent most of my week in the water or on the beach - they came to know me and brought me my rom punch on a regular basis.Departure came too soon - but checkout and transport to the airport was flawless. Again - an amazing, absolutely no worries, exercise in pure relaxation. Many thanks for your fine service and making this trip possible at such a reasonable cost.Jon

Hi Toni!Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know our trip was FANTASTIC! We really enjoyed Viva Wyndham Maya. Everyone on staff was very courteous, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had fun. The food was so varied and delicious (not to mention abundant). One would have to stay a month just to sample it all! The nightly shows were entertaining, especially after getting to know all the staff. We participated in the trapeze everyday, as well as the dance lessons, cooking lessons, Spanish class, we kayaked, snorkeled....There is simply just so much to do.The transportation to the resort was impeccable. Your airport reps were easy to spot, welcoming and organized. A great way to start a vacation. Thanks to all those smiling faces. My daughter and I purchased a couple of excursions from your rep at the hotel. We were very pleased with the Dolphin Royal Swim.We enjoyed the Riviera Maya. Are there any other resorts you would recommend for next time? We would like to book again real soon:) Thanks for your time!Natalie Allen

Tommy HornsbySt. Augustine, FlTravel dates 8/12-8/16Intercontinental Hotel, Puerto RicoWe stayed at the Intercontinental in San Juan. The rooms were average but you do not go on vacation to stay in the room. Room did have a fridge which helped with snacks. Location was great because you could easily walk to restaurants and to get supplies. The onsite places were too expensive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice pool and nice beach area. The casino was fine. The best part of this hotel was the location. You could easily go and do many things. We rented a car and drove ourself around with no problem. The Bio bay tour was ok, the snorkling was my favorite and the rainforest was my ladies favorite. I would stay here again.

Full name: Jennifer BedellCity, state: Amherst, MATravel dates: 7/29 - 8/3/2009resort: Carambola Beach Resort, USVIWonderful trip from start to finish! The Carambola is right on one of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen. Rooms are in small buildings clustered in a beautifully landscaped tropical setting. Most have great views. We stayed in an non-renovated lower level room (their most basic accommodation). It was a bit musty and dilapidated (some furniture was worn and broken), as we suspected from reviews it might be, but so spacious and lovely and comfortable we could scarcely complain (also, staff was accomodating to requests for help with problems in room). The room had a living area with sofa, chairs, coffee table, desk and fridge; sleeping area with very comfortable king! -size bed, old-style TV with decent cable; large bathroom with gorgeous tiled shower, long countertop with two sinks and a walk-in closet. The best part of our room was the large screened porch with spectacular beach views. We spent much time relaxing on the porch sofas, watching the ocean nearby. Our trip was short, so we didn't do many excursions (just a day trip to Christiansted, which is worth visiting for an afternoon). Mostly we relaxed in the many beach hammocks, swam in the warm ocean, and enjoyed the idyllic location. One afternoon, we even exercised in the air conditioned and adequate resort gym. Your cell phone won't work here but you can make calls from your room phone using a calling card and check email from wireless connection in pool area (don't bother using visitor's computer in reception area -- it's got unbearably slow dial-up). The restaurant's menu is limited (only the pool bar is open in summer), but we enjoyed a few good pub-style meals and deli! cious breakfasts. Service was fast (by Caribbean standards) and friend ly. We arrived prior to check-in time and they let us into our room early to put down our bags and begin our vacation, and we enjoyed the free rum punch (served daily starting at 3:00 p.m. in the reception area) on more than one occasion. Everyone we met (staff and fellow travelers alike) was pleasant and good company. The only real negative was nobody's fault: the electricity went out many times -- including a night or two with no AC -- due to problems with a nearby transformer. I got the impression this isn't a regular occurence. Otherwise, this is a special and beautiful place. I didn't see the fancier rooms, but you might consider an upgrade if you can afford it (and if not, don't be discouraged from coming).

had booked an all inclusive trip through Cheapcaribbean.com to Freeport, Bahamas and feel for the price we paid we got an excellent value for our money. At first I was a little skeptical since I had never booked through their website before and thought it was too good to be true but it was everything they had promised. I was totally satisfied and would definitely book again with them. It was a very wonderful positive experience and I have great memories which will last a lifetime and didn't break the bank!

We traveled to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on July 25th this year. Our flight was great and the hotel was beautiful. The only problem we had was upon arrival at the airport the guide from the Turinter booth was not there nor did anyone know when he would arrive. After standing there with no one to attend to us a rep from another tour co. offered to take us to our hotel and honor our transfers if the Turinter bus didn't arrive by the time he left. Finally the guy showed up and took us to our hotel. The NH Eden was a beautiful hotel, with excellent service and very pleasant people. Our room was beautiful, we had a view of the gardens and pool on the second floor. The hotel had a lot of chairs at the beach with shade, never had to worry about not having one. The food was good, there was a variety for everyone's taste. The beach was out of this world, beautiful warm water, white fine powdery sand and wonderful weather, not one rain drop all week. We would definitely go back and use the CheapCaribbean website. Your agents were very helpful and all the paperwork was received on a timely basis and there was plenty of information and travel tips. Thanks for your asistance. Ines Pena

My son and I arrived in Puerto Rico via Delta Airlines on Wednesday afternoon, 7/22/09. Checked into the San Juan Marriot and Casino Hotel. The hotel was great, the service was excellent and the view was spectacular from the 4th floor overlooking the pool and the ocean. However, this did cost us a few hundred dollars more. The 1st day we arrived we spent all afternoon trying to set up deals on excursions. Most of them were already booked and we couldnt use the coupons the hotel had given us except for one. We never did get to do the illuminous kayaking trip which we so desperately wanted to do. We booked a zipline adventure through the hotel (real expensive) for the 2nd day. Went parasailing after the zipline adventure. The 3rd day we boarded a catamaran and went snorkeling. They fed us lunch and you could drink all the pina coladas and rum punch you could handle. This was an excellent deal via our coupon and the only one we got to use. The 4th day was laying by the poolside, playing volley ball, and swimming in the ocean. All meals were very expensive in the restaurants near the motel and in the motel including breakfasts. The last night we ate out left me with a bad taste in my mouth due to the owner over charging me for a meal at a deli shop. Left on Sunday, 7/26/09. Overall, a great trip, but I would consider a cheaper area and an all inclusive deal. Jerry D. Pate

HEY THIS MANNY FROM GA I WENT TO PUNTA CUNA AND STAYED AT THE Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel FROM JULY 28-AUG 03 AND I MUST SAY THE COUNTRY WAS GREAT. THE HOTEL WAS OK AND I DON'T HAVE A MAJOR ISSUES BUT I WILL STAY THAT THE FOOD WAS OK BUT THE SERVICE COULD BE BETTER. THE STAFF WAS NICE BUT IT TOOK LONG FOR THE FOOD TO BE SERVED. I WISH THE STAFF SPOKE ALITTLE MORE ENGLISH BUT I WAS IN THEIR COUNTRY SO THAT WASN'T A MAJOR ISSUE. THE DRINKS WERE FINE AND STRONG NO ISSUES THERE. THE POOL WAS KINDA DIRTY BUT I HOPE AND GUESS THEY CLEAN IT. THE ROOM WAS FINE BUT HAD TO CALL HOUSEKEEPING A FEW TIMES BECAUSE ME AND MY BROTHER GOT UP LATE. THE LATE CLUB IS OK BUT THEY PLAY THE SAME MUSIC SO IF YOU GO MORE THAN ONCE BE READY FOR THAT. THE BEACH IS BREATHTAKING...VERY VERY NICE. THE CASINO WAS OK BUT DIDN'T HAVE MUCH LUCK THERE SO I WAS OUTTA THERE QUICK. I WOULD COME BACK HERE BUT IF YOU DO YOU MUST STAY AT THE NEWEST RESORT I WAS IN THERE AND THE HOTTUB ON THE PATIO IS NICE FOR THE LATE NIGHT ACTION. OVERALL I WILL BE BACK BUT WILL STAY AT THE NEWEST SPOT.

Greetings,We had a great time at El Conquistador in Puerto Rico during our 7/26- 7/30 stay. The resort was beautiful and beach very nice. The resort had many restaurants to choose from...a nice variety. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We took excursions to the rain forest (and it did pour there) and Old San Juan. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this resort. Especially for golfers as the course looked great!Oswego, NY

WE just got back from Sun Village resort in Puerto Plata DR and it was wonderful. All the excursions and transfers provided by CheapCarribean were on time and all their staff was very cordial. The resort itself was great. I couldn't believe what we got for the price we paid. When I spoke to other vacationers there they could not believe our price either, so I told them about CheapCarribean.com. Finally there really IS a Dioby Sanchez. He was there every morning to help coordinate any excursions and/or changes in plans. He helped us change one of our day trips, even calling us from his cell phone. Thanks Dioby. I would definitely use CheapCaribbean.com again and have recommended it to all our friendsbob

Our trip to Montego Bay, and the Grand Palladium Hotel was very enjoyable. Some of the reviews I read prior to our trip made us worry a bit, but we found the hotel to be a good choice. The air conditioning was fine, the hotel staff was very nice, and we had no trouble getting drinks at the pool bar. The room was excellent and the housekeeping service was fine. Some minor problems, the pool had many tiles missing and made it difficult to walk. We did not always get towels and washcloths on time, but they were delivered later in the day. All in all it was a great vacation. Sight seeing to Negril was great and we found it cheaper to use a private tour cab instead of the tours provided by the hotel. Our guide was great and let us spend as much time as we wanted at all the fun stops along the way. I recommend visits to Margaritaville and Ricks Caf with the cliff divers. Looking forward to returning to Jamaica again, this time staying in Negril

Tiffany ColeNew York, NYJuly 23-27, 2009Barcelo Punta Cana, Dominican Republic Yes, overall our experience was wonderful! Of course we had some problems, one major one was being able to get fast service from our resort staff. We had to wait everyday for towels and even for our room when we arrived. Once we got settled in to our resort, things pretty much went smoothly with finding events and activities. The food at the restaurants was delicious and our rooms were clean. Overall the biggest dissapointment with our trip was the hotel guest services, other than that we had a great time. Although we had a great time, I wouldn't want to try that resort again, I would spend a little more for a resort with better hotel staff service.

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to CheapCarribean for a phenomenal vacation experience. From the moment I booked the vacation to the moment we arrived back at home everything went more smoothly than I could have ever expected! I never spoke to anyone but did everything over the internet. I know my husband did not have much faith in me but it was so easy. And the amount of time it took to book was so minimal to the memories we have forever. My husband and I went to the Excellence Playa Mujares resort in Cancun for our first vacation alone since having children and it was truly AMAZING!! The resort was more beautiful and relaxing than we could have ever imagined. Everything was First Class! Everyone at the resort was so helpful and kind. We felt like royalty the entire time and sort of felt guilty for having such a terrific time. Thank you for a wonderful 2nd honeymoon!! We are so grateful!!Jeff and Kathy HellmannMuskegon, MI July 26th - July 30th 2009

Dreams La Romana was a wonderful resort. Good food, nice rooms, beautiful beach and pools. My only complaint was it is FAR from the airport in Santo Domingo. I would definitely recommend this beautiful resort. You will not be disapointed.

Took the girlfriend for her 30th Bday.......She loved it! We were there for 4 nights (Aug-6 thru Aug-10) and that was enough time to see all the sites and experience everything the resort had to offer. We made friends with most of the staff. They made sure we had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool was great. The beach was great. They are both jammed pack with people during the day, but if we wanted peace and quiet we would have went to the mountains for her Bday. The beach is really nice and quiet at night. There are a number of places to eat inside the resort from Moso's, Black Angus(my favorite), and the SeaSide Cafe. The food smells great throughout the hotel. I would recommend the all inclusive option because the food is kinda high. The 22 Above club overlooks the casino floor. We spent many nights there and had a ball each night! I recommend the native beer Kalik, and if you really wanna step it up get the Kalik Gold! Its not very expensive and it won't take many to get you there. I read a number of negatives about the resort before we went and I am happy to say that we didnt experience any of it. The rooms are nice (ocean view room) was great. Room service was nice. Hotel employees made us feel like family and we really enjoyed our stay. We took the #10 bus downtown everyday (1.25) to go shopping. The cabs are kinda pricey so do your shopping before 7pm. But definately book your rooms at the Wyndham resort and you will understand exactly what we experienced!!! Thanks a lot.....N.Hughley

James P. Vancas, Centreville, VA, Traveled from 7/25/09 to 7/31/09 to Dominican Republic La Romana, and stayed at the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace. Our vacation was great! We had no problems with our flight to and from other than delays because of weather on our departure from the Dominican Republic and from Atlanta. No fault of CheapCaribbean.com. Our ride was waiting for us at the Airport which was about a 2:00 hour drive to La Romana, with a rest stop for bathroom break and to get a drink and shop at a local shopping area. That was nice and the beer was good. Once we got to resort had no problem checking in or getting to our rooms to start enjoying our vacation. Now for the resort. It is a beautiful beach and resort. The rooms at the palace is not the greatest, but are not bad. They are livable and anyway, you are there only for sleeping and taking a shower. There are English T.V. stations for watching something late at night. The A.C. was working until our last night there, but I believe storms that came in on the afternoon of 30 Jul 09 must of knocked them off line. But it was alright since we were leaving the next day. The food at the Yuca Buffet Restaurant was fine with lots of variations and the service was fine. Sometimes you had to serve you drinks yourself for coffee or water. But that was fine. Had no problems getting reservations for the three restaurants we tried, (Italian, Chinese and Mexican). Food was alright, nothing really bad, the Thai Beef Salad at the Chinese restaurant was really good though. The resort had nice bar at the pool and in the main entrance. Plus at their sister site a short walk along the beach area on a stone path. One thing is to be careful walking around the pool, dining (Yuca) restaurant and main building since the floors get really slippery. The resort caters to Europeans, but did not have any real problems communicating with staff, wife speaks some Spanish so that helped. Everyone was friendly. Went on an excursion to Sandros Island, the boat ride was fun and entertaining and Beach was beautiful except for the rocks near the shore line about 2 yard in the water to about 4 yards in until you hit sand. After that anther boat ride to the pool which is out in the Caribbean about 300-400 yard of shore, which was the best, love it. Overall the vacation was great and CheapCaribbean did not let us down. A great vacation and can't wait until I book again. Thank you CheapCaribbean.

Our stay at Dreams LaRoma, DR was one of my best vacations, from the champagne greeting when you first arrive to the attention to every detail. Our room was beautiful and clean, just as it was pictured online. We upgraded to preferred status, so I don't know if that gave us a nicer room or not. But other guests I spoke with said they were happy with their rooms also. Our 13 year old daughter was with us and we were a little worried about her being bored, but that was certainly not the case. Not once in the 6 days of our stay did we hear her say that she was bored -- there was always something going on to keep her busy. She met kids her own age, or close to her age, from France, England, and of course, the US. We were left to lounge on the beach or by the pool drinking our pina coladas. We chose the beach because it was gorgeous. We even participated in some of the games, dance lessons or aerobics on the beach. The longest wait we had at any restaurant was about 30 minutes. The food was good, the service was good and we had plenty of restaurants to choose from. My favorite was Mexican. The Dreams Resort was a wonderful experience. I would go back again and I would recommend it to my friends. Thanks for a great vacation!!

Christine YturraldeSan Diego, Ca to Montego Bay, JamaicaJuly 18/09- July 26/09Grand Pineapple Beach Resort Negril, Jamaica Sad to say it rained on our first day in Jamaica, but I considered it good luck. Unfortunately we had to wait over 2 hours at the airport on the bus because they were trying to fill the bus as much as possible, but the wait allowed us to talk to the locals and other travelers. The trip from Montego Bay to Negril took less than 2 hrs as expected but the sites on the way were worth the 2 hours. Our bus driver gave us a little 411 on each parish we passed through and he even allowed us to make a stop for a beer along the road. What a good way to begin our trip! once we reached the resort the staff was very friendly and check-in was easy breeezy. They offer a pineapple ginger drink that is sooooo delicious!!!! its their special drink. The Grand Pineapple Beach Resort it a little resort perfect for people who want to get away from the fancy theme park hotels (more for the down 2 earth people). In the week that we stayed there, we got to meet likewise travelers and we got to know some of the locals on the beach. The staff was very friendly. They learn your name in the span of 2 days and you theirs. They were really dedicated in making your stay the best time possible. This resort is an all inclusive resort, so you didnt have to worry about where you would eat and what you would eat; there are specific times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and each day of the week has a different theme for cuisine (asian, italian, mexican, jamaican, bbq beach party, etc). Also included is an open bar! and some nights there is a live band!!! and unlike the fancy hotels, tipping the staff is not required because it's also included. after a couple days swimming, snorkeling, shopping and playing volleyball along the famous 7 mile beach we took a couple tours (appleton rum factory, black river, YS falls, 9mile- hometown of bob marley) with our hotel. You pick a day and they take care of the rest. If you would rather have a private tour, the hotel has drivers that you can hire to take you where ever you wish. Some hotels try to keep you confined within its supervision but I suggest you rent a moped for a day ($35) or more (more days gets you a better price). It allows you to go exploring, but make sure you know where you are going and its just a lot of fun to be on a moped. Make sure when dealing with the locals you ask the price before you buy. I can tell you all about the details of my trip, but I should leave the rest for your imagination. take a trip to jamaica with Cheap Caribbean. I never thought i would ever go to Jamaica, but in my wildest dreams i wanted to. CheapCaribbean made it easy and possible! NO WORRIES MON!

To Whom It May Concern, I recently used cheapcarribean.com and went to Punta Cana. I really was looking for a website to post my opinions regarding this trip but was unable to find one. So I am sending this to you hoping I will be able to get my opinion out there. We stayed at the NH Resort and had a wonderful experience in a whole. The contact person there Esteban Falton was absolutely wonderful!!!! He had all the answers and was more than helpful. Thanks to him our trip was wonderful. However there were a few things such as the fact you are only able to eat at the resturants a percentage of the days you stay there. For instance we had a 7 day stay and were only aloud to eat at the resturants 3 times while we were there the other days we had to eat at the buffet. No real complaints the food was pretty good at the entire resort however I was not aware of this until we have already arrived. It would have been nice to know, maybe you can make that more clear with the advertisement. We had talked to others who also were not aware of this until already there. The airlines that we got through you was Delta and they are absolutely terrible!! We had nothing but problems from the beginning to the end of our trip with them. They were not compationate at all when our flight got cancelled and we had to wait another day to go missing a day of our stay. Our flight was cancelled because they did not have a flight crew, who has heard of an airline without a flight crew. However your company made it right by extending our trip by another day thanks to Esteban Falton your contact person there, which made us very happy. Although we had to fight toothe and nail with Delta to get our flight changed to the next day. Which cost us $25.00 dollars in phone calls from Punta Cana not to mention the money we had to pay out staying in the airport waiting for our flight the next day. I will never again fly Delta and will be sure to tell everyone I know my terrible experience with them. All in all I was so happy with Cheapcarribean.com I will tell everyone I know to use your company. First class all the way. Thanks cheap carribean for making my 15th wedding anniversary something special. Sincerely, Michael and Michelle Noble

CheapCaribbean.com made it easy and possible! NO WORRIES MON!

Raphael LalliLevittown, PAValentin Imperial MayaJuly 20 thru 25, 2009 As advertised, the resort was beautiful. The food at all of the restaurants was very good. The rooms were large and very clean. And the service staff was very friendly and helpful. I am an ocean swimmer. The beach was great and of course the ocean was as well. However, at the beach access the ocean was roped off and not available for swimming. You had to walk a little (50 to 60 yards) either way to get into the ocean. That left a large portion of the ocean unavailable (at least 1/3 or more). Nit-Picking? Maybe. But like I said I like to swim in the ocean and that is important to me. I bought the Privilege Package and I thought that the concierge should have given us all of the information about the particulars of the package when we arrived. When you first get to a resort, you are tired and excited about getting there and for me I didn't have the questions. It took us two days to stumble on the reserved area at the pool for us. All things considered, we had a fantastic time. The resort deserved the 5 stars that it was given and I highly recommend the resort.

Florina & Scott Tar, Redford, MI. 48239. Ola everyone! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Valentin Imperial Maya between August 1st through August 5th. This resort is a paradise. Our room was located by the ocean and the view, well breath taking. With room service which was fantastic, it was almost a shame to leave the room, but we did. With a very short walk to the beach we passed two of the out door restaurants, Mar & Tierra (sea & turf respectively). The beach was beautiful, however the swimming area is defined. The coast here can be rocky. Once you settle in at the beach, it's time for your favorite drink! I liked the "Bahama-momma" and my husband, Scott, tried the "Miami Vice", the "Dirty Monkey" and several different daiquiris. After several hours of basking in the hot Caribbean sun and swimming in the refreshing sea, its time to hit one of the pools. Finding a place to sit by the pool was easy, we stayed close to one of the two swim-up bars. Again either by land or sea, your favorite drink was readily at hand. If you want to be pampered just a bit more, don't miss the "Spa", a massage at the beach is heavenly. It's back to the room to get cleaned up for dinner. The selection of restaurants was magical. No matter what your taste is, the "Valentin" has is covered. Each of the elegant restaurants served top shelf cuisines. The "L' Alsace" (French) offered the wine drinker a vast selection of the finest wines in the world, but if you choose, the house wine, it too is excellent! If you like to meet new people and at the same time be entertained, try "Ginger" (Japanese) hibachi grill. Any of the restaurants you select, will be one of the best dinning experiences you'll have. All of the staff members, including the maintenance personal, greet you with a friendly smile, making you feel right at home in this tropical paradise. In speaking with other couples we met all had the same thing to say. The "Valentin" is the best resort for that romantic getaway they have ever had, and we agree, we're planning our next vacation already! We can't wait to go back to paradise! All in all, we both agree that the resort was too heavenly for words, though we tried our best to describe it. Florina & Scott Tar

Maxine GreyWoodbridge, VirginiaTravel dates July 26 through July 29, 2009Resort: NH Real Arena in Bavaro Beach In Punta Cana, Dominican Republic My Review: The time that I chose to visit Punta Cana was really humid. It was nearly unbearable for someone with upper respiratory trouble. Upon arrival we were assigned to a room which smelled mildew and moldy. There was water in the bottom of the closet and it leaked out of the closet on to the floor. I opened the drapes to the sliding glass door to observe our view and we had a view of an alley, clothes on a clothesline, a tin roof house and abandoned/junked cars. We were on our honeymoon and this was not what we were looking to view. We immediately alerted the Front Desk that we needed a new room assignment. We were told that the resort was fully booked and no room vacancies existed. We were assured that someone would come to our room and resolve the problem with the water and also we did not have linen in the bathroom. We made several calls to the front desk but to no avail. We waited for 30 minutes and no one responded to our request. I contacted Cheap Caribbean on a Sun day and spoke with Melissa who assured me that she would talk to the manager of the resort and assist us in getting a moved to another room at the resort. Melissa was successful in contacting the Resort Manager who gave us a new room. However we waited another 30 minutes before a bell boy arrived at our room with the keys to the new room. We were assigned to an Oceanview room which was very nice, but there were roaches in this room. You could not leave anything out on the counters unless you did not mind the roaches crawling on them. We refused to use the glasses in the room. We encountered so much trouble getting to a better room that we decided to deal with the roaches and make the best of our stay. We made sure that we shook out all of our clothing and suitcases before leaving Punta Cana so that we did not bring any Dominican roaches back to the U.S. Thanks Melissa at CheapCaribbean for your help.

Here is a review of my trip to Secrets Silversands July 16-20, 2009. My husband and I stayed at SSS July 16-20, 2009. After reading negative reviews, I was worried. OMG-my worries were so unfounded. I hope this review can put some minds at rest. This place was phenomenal! I had emailed the concierge Jessica prior to arrival to request a king bed, ocean view on a high floor. The upgrade was $100 per night, and we used our $200 resort credit towards it. Paying $200 for that room was totally worth it (to me). Check InWhen we arrived at SSS, it is true that there was no clearly defined check in. We walked in the lobby and stood there, wondering what to do for several minutes. Then a staff gave us each a glass of champagne, and said someone would be right with us. Maybe two minutes later, we were sat down at the desk. Check in was fast and efficient. A staff member took our luggage and showed us to our room, and oriented us to the resort as we walked. RoomWhen we walked into our room, I was THRILLED! It was perfect - just as I had requested concierge Jessica. King bed on a higher floor with an ocean view. I dont understand the value of the swim out rooms, except that you are guaranteed lounge chairs. But personally I dont want a bottom floor room that everyone and his brother can peer into! The room was very clean, and I didnt see any wear and tear. Someone was in our room to clean and straighten twice a day. We didnt drink a lot out of the fridge, but I do know the gentleman stopped by 2 of the 4 days asking if we needed anything for it. We didnt order room service so I cant comment on that. We did have two robes and two sets of slippers, and all the bath amenities. They were very generous with those- we ended up with one set in the shower and one set for the tub. The water in the tub was clear- not brown. FoodThe food was good. I always love the made to order omelets in the morning. I agree that the restaurants were understaffed. The only time this was a problem was they were slow in bringing drinks during breakfast, but whatever. I drank water until my OJ was brought out. Other reviews have commented on slow service during meals, but this wasnt ever a concern for me. I wasnt in a hurry- what else was I going to be doing? I was on vacation! I did see that other reviewers were right saying you need to be early to get into the special dinner at Himitsu. We got to the lobby at 6pm, and there was a huge line already! We were too late, and the slots for the hibachi show were full. No big deal- we went ahead and had dinner and ordered the Tepanyaki Dinner, which was the same exact thing that is cooked at the show. Very very good. The fried ice cream there is to die for! My husband had the best steak ever in El Patio. PoolsIt was nice having so many pools to choose from. There was room for everyone. The other reviewer was spot on about the main pool. It was much warmer than the other pools, and much more crowded. Lounge chairs need to be claimed in the morning on the way to breakfast. The last day we were there, almost every chair was claimed by 8:30. I was also concerned before vacation about other reviewers claims of no shade available at the pools. I am fair skinned and must have shade to prevent sunburn. But we claimed two chairs under the wooden structures around the pool and that was plenty of shade- I didnt get burned at all. So dont worry about that. I also loved that there was always a nice ocean breeze so I never got hot. Pool service was a little slow, but they were always very nice. It simply wasnt a big deal to me to get up and walk myself over to the bar to get a drink a few times. Anyway, I needed the exercise from all the good food I had packed in!BeachIm not going to hash over the beach issue again except to say that it is a pretty beach. Yes it has seaweed, but it is still pretty, not a stinky eyesore like some reviewers made it out to be. I do admit we walked down the beach to scope out the clothing optional beach. (giggle, giggle) OtherTo cover some random items, I did not experience any mosquitoes at all. I had even brought some bug repellant wipes, but didnt use them at all. Also, about the dress code- I thought it was quite nice that everyone was dressed up in the evenings. It made the place look so elegant and classy. Men were let into dinner wearing jeans, but they looked out of place. I did see men in shorts turned away. Its really not a big deal. We would dress for dinner, then my husband would put on his shorts to lounge and have drinks at the outside bar. My only gripe was that they seem to do lawn service everyday, all day. I was trying to relax and listen to the ocean, not weed eaters and blowers all day! I wish they would do lawn service in the late afternoon or early evening hours. It would be cooler for them too!Overall, the place was fabulous! I would return in a heartbeat. I thought Secrets Silversands was classy, clean and very nice. We would definitely return.

Dear CheapCarribean,Thanks for such a wonderful vacation! I look forward to booking another get away with you next summer! Sincerely,Tara VanPatten My boyfriend and I just returned from an amazing vacation at the Catalonia Riviera Maya. From the moment we got off the plane we felt that we were in good hands. The transfer coordinaters and drivers were very kind and knowledgable. The hotel itself had the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. The chairs around the 5 pools filled up quickly, but there was always plenty of room on the beach. The water was great for swimming and snorkeling. I was amazed at the array of fish we saw! The 2 pool bars were amazing! The bartenders were quick and fun to talk with! The buffets were decent, but the reservation restraunts were much better! The Japanese Steakhouse was our favorite. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Playa del Carmen, about 25 minutes north. We took advantage and spent a whole day there. It was fun to walk around the beach and market. I would recommend this hotel for anyone... friends, couples, or families. Just be sure to pack lots of sunscreen... you don't want to have to pay the steep prices at the hotel shop!

The resort is beautiful, incredible staff, and very accommodating. What we did not like was the "pitch" for their point time share system. It was almost 3 hours of my first day. Even though they say they are trying to push it they really are. I would recommend that people avoid that all together. Also the excursions we took(ATV ride, Swimming with Sting Rays and Sonoa Island) were expensive but somewhat worth it. The one I would not do again is the ATV excursion. There were way too many people in the groups (over 40-50). You have to wait too long for everyone to catch up or get back in their ATV's or Buggy's. The trail is not really a trail. The way our Turinter ageant described was not what it really was.But overall the Oceans resort is great for families. There is alot to do on the resort. Very family friendly.Sincerely,D. Rodriguez

My wife and I stayed at the Dreams Punta Cana resort for the last week of July, 2009. The grounds and beach of the resort were well kept, and the food was great. However, our room had a significant amount mold growing on some of the furniture, and fabrics in the room, such as the lounge chair, and bed comforter. Additionally, there water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom over the vanity, which was a constant drip all day long.We made the hotel aware of both issues, but neither were addressed in the 6 days we were there, and management never offered to put us in another room. For those reasons, we will not be returning to Dreams resorts or any of their affiliates. We were, however, satisfied with our service from CheapCaribbean.com.Sincerely,David Ammons

Our recent stay at Secrets Maroma Beach on 7/21-7/28 was absolutely wonderful! It was like freestyle cruising with all drinks included!! No wristbands or reservations needed! The beach was so big with sugar white sand and the water was to die for! Crystal clear and warm! The grounds were spa style so you just had to relax and the people on the staff were so very warm and friendly. They couldn't do enough for you! As soon as you walked to the pool or beach someone was there to help you find just the right spot and put a drink in your hand! The food and food choices were fabulous! The restaurants were decorated so tastefully and they all just went out of their way to please us! Even around the pool and beach they would come by daily with snacks and dessert tasting's. There were all kinds of activities if you wished to do or do nothing. The spa was just magnificent with the hydrotherapy pools and the gym had all of the up to date machines. We celebrated my husbands birthday and our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised with a decorated room of balloons and streamers, birthday cake, champagne , fruit and flowers! The most fun was to see what towel animal we had waiting for us daily! I just can't say enough of how wonderful this vacation was because of all the wonderful people there! Tips were included in the price and no one seemed to expect more but genuinely went out of their way for us so we enjoyed extra tipping as everyone did work so hard there. It was very much appreciated ! I could go on and on but I'll sum it up as Secrets Maroma Beach and Spa is by far a first class resort all the way! We can't wait to return! Hello,My name is Alisha Weyant from Stephens City VA, 22655. I stayed in Dominican Republic from July 22-26th at Dreams La Romano resort and spa. We had a terrific time and was very pleased with our accomadations. The resort was very well kept, the staffing was very poliet and friendly, and the weather and water was beautiful. We had a few complaints and suggestions to make the next stay even better. The bed was not very comfortable and there was hardly anything to the pillows. We asked for new pillows but they seemed to be the same. Our only other complaint was the food. My fiance and I became very ill from the food and was not able to eat the rest of our trip. The food was very bland and did not satisfy us at all. This I can say was our only major complaint. We do understand we were eating in a third world country and alot fo items were imported. We never drank any of the water and made sure we had bottled, but still somehow became very ill. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definately stay at this resort again, but we may have to rethink some food issues. Thank you.

This was my third vacation booked thru cc, and once again was not disappointed. CC's customer service was fabulous as always, especially when I had to make some last minute changes to my reservation. I was able to price match my vaca, also, when I found it cheaper on another website, with ease. The Azteca is the "lowest" rated of the all inclusives that we have visited thru cc. The resort itselft was nice, the beach was awesome, drinks were especially great at the pool bar with Rigaberto (4p-12a shift :) daily). It was super easy to get hooked up with parasailing and other motorsport activities on the beach, and there was never a problem getting a chair. The resort is very European/Latin, we were definitly in the minority speaking English, but it was really cool. We booked the airport transfers thru cc via Olympus Tours. they also were who we booked one of the BEST excursions ever thru...Mayan Aventuras cenote tour...AWESOME! It included transportation, snorkeling to the ocean (where fresh water meets salt water...really neat), then onto the cenote lagoon where they had zip lines, and platform jumping into the most refreshing fresh water I have ever swam in, then onto the cenote cave, whcih, was just amazing! Such an awesome experience, and without a doubt recommend this tour...they fed us at the end, just awesome. Playa del Carmen is a 10-15 minute leisurely walk away, and the ferry to Cozumel is right in town...35 minutes to Cozumel...definilty worth the day trip over there. The sister resort Viva Maya, was a short walk away, and had some different amentiies...trapeze flying...totally fun, and a bit of a different set up. Definlty worth the quick beach walk over there. Rooms were nice, stocked with nonalcoholic beverages daily. Only gripe about the resort was the customer service with the guest relations department...it sucked. We wanted to make reservations for dinner for the following day, they told us no. They neglected to say we could make them for the rest of the week, so we only got dinner reservations 2 of the 5 nights we were there. If you didnt ask SPECIFIC questions, they did not offer any additional information. Of all the all inclusives we've been to, the food here was by far the worst in the buffet. The a la carte restaurants and their service was great...definilty on par with other resorts. We asked for recommendations on where to eat in town when the buffet got old, and "guest services" could not provide any, nor could they recommend any gyms. All in all, what we paid for this vacation it was a great value! Beautiful, smallish resort that was easy to navigate, beautiful beach, and good drinks...what more do you need!Looking forward to booking the next vaca!

We booked a 7 day vacation to Riviera Mayafrom July 22 to July 28 ,with reservations at secrets Silversands hotel.Departing Myrtle Beach and arriving in Fort Lauderdale, then flying into Cancun was a breeze.Arrival at the hotel,no problem. We had a great time.Leaving Cancun was not a problem.Until we landed in fort Lauderdale. Our layover was supposed to be a 4 hour wait, unfortunately it turned into a 8 hour layover.Spirit airlines gave many excuses about the delay.from flat tires to missing screws in panels.Customers were not to happy about spirits customer service.I would certainly book with you again as long as Spirit airlines were not involved in the package.Donna Golden Little River South Carolina

CheapCaribbean.com made it easy and possible! NO WORRIES MON!

My family of 5 stayed at Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana D.R. from July 10-17. My family included three young adults as well as my husband and I. We had the best time--mainly due to the hotel staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We were busy as often as we wanted to be with dance lessons, water exercise classes, pool activities and more! The staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had fun. The beach was wide and had more than enough chairs. We were usually on the beach by 9 a.m. and were able to find seats with shade. The rooms were large and very attractive.. As mentioned in other reviews, the showers didn't have doors, but it wasn't really a problem. We took the preferred packed and felt that it was worth it. We liked being able to eat in the preferred restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Without the preferred, you eat in the buffet area (which is fine also). The restaurants were good, but definitely try to eat as close to 6 p.m. as possible. They don't take reservations and later the wait can be very long. Definitely a great deal and we would return in a heartbeat! Kathryn KoellnerNew Hyde Park, NY

My name is John Phillips. I live in Mansfield, Texas, and we stayed at The El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico July 20 through July 25. We absolutely loved the resort and all of the experiences we had through the resort and the rest of our visit. The absolute tops was the private island with the lovely beaches. We definitely have decided we are going back.

Joanne Tarr, 23 Bradford Road, Framingham, MA 01701. Travel to Aruba on July 19th and came back on July 26th. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree. My experience, as always, was wonderful in fact perfect.I was honored by the Minister of Tourism and Transportation because this was my 25th trip to Aruba. I was given a certificate bestowing upon me the title of "Good Will Ambassador to Aruba" and I will always remember that ceremony. I have always stayed at the Holiday Inn except for three times where I stayed at the Allegro which is now the Occidental. The Holiday Inn is a very comfortable hotel to be at and the people there are my family. The waiters and hotel personnel all know me. I went alone this year but met up with friends that all go to Aruba the same time each year. The weather was great except for a few days where we had some rain showers but they were quickly over. The beach is the best in Aruba and the night entertainment is great. Can't wait to go back next year and hopefully for two or three weeks instead of one. Joanne Tarr

My name is Marly Oosterhof from Curaao Netherlands Antilles and I traveled to the Dominican Republic from july 12th till July 19th. I stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe at La Romana. When we arrived at the airport we were met by a lady who told us we had to wait a bit because the bus was delayed. Once we got to the hotel I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff is really friendly and great with kids. Since I speak Spanish there was no language barrier. There were people from all over the world so the staff did their best to communicate in different languages. I heard them speak French, English, German. The rooms are nice and comfortable, nice bathroom. The main pool is great. The kids loved it more than the kiddie pool. The beach is beautiful, but the water is not clear. They have different shows every night in which they use the guests to participate. In the early evening they have a mini disco for the kids. The main restaurant is excellent, with different menus everyday. The seafood and French restaurant are excellent, the Italian is good. All in all I can say that I really enjoyed the trip and I would definitely recommend this hotel especially if traveling with kids.

My husband and I booked our 10 year anniversary get-away through CheapCaribbean and it was the best decision we could have made. We had an amazing time. The cost was definitely the best on the internet. The resort was as amazing as promised and we seriously could not have been happier. Plus, the bonuses that we received for extras at the resort were wonderful. We both had a massage!! I would definitely recommend your website to all my family and friends who want to book a great vacation at a competitive price. We will go again in March. My husband's sister will be getting married at the same resort so we will use CheapCaribbean for that trip too! Thanks for making our Tenth Wedding Anniversary so special!Zereta Sucharski

My family and I return July 25th from the greatest family vacation we have ever spent together. It all started in early June when we started searching for a great Caribbean trip to make in early August of 2009. After a few weeks of searching on different internet sites we settle on using Cheap Caribbean, we just felt comfortable working with them. After looking for weeks, reading the reviews and looking at every all-inclusive in the Caribbean, we decided that Dreams La Romana would be the spot. Then came the tough part, booking and finding flights. It seems every combination of the two we tried, every flight was booked up. So my wife called one of Cheap Caribbeans representatives and they went to work on our dates and where we would leave from. Everything came together in the matter of a few minutes and we felt our vacation was set. Then it happened, we got the question can you guys move the dates up a two weeks, I think I can save you some money on the price. We did not expect much of a change in price but we felt it would be worth at least checking. When we were told that the savings would be $1,500.00, we could not believe it. I checked with work and got the clearance and we were booked. Three adults (my wife, my 16 year old and me) and one 10 year old child, 7 days and 6 nights plus airfare for under $4,000.00 to the Caribbean, unbelievable!!! We landed in Santo Domingo and were taken on a 1 hour ride to Dreams. We had no problem with the long ride, my wife and I have spent time in the Dominican Republic before and we wanted our kids to see how lucky they are to have what they have back home, it was a eye opener for both. We arrive at Dreams and were greeted with a welcome home from everyone. We were taken to our room which we did not care for where they were located, to close to the pool where we had heard many events occur at night and they can get loud! I went to the front desk and David had us in new rooms one building over inside of 10 minutes. The rooms were perfect and they honored our request to put us in adjoining rooms. We had dinner and turned in early so we would be ready for the 6 hard days we had planned. The resort is great, 3 large pools, one kind of for the adults with a swim up bar, one that is more for the children with a rock climbing float with a slide and then the pool for the preferred members. The great thing about the two other pools, the kids could have a great time in the pool with the swim up bar and there was plenty of thing for the adults to do in the other pool. Nine different restaurants (a few were closed each night, I do not think the resort was over 40% full at this time) to chose from and the 6 we ate at were all great. Serving sizes were smaller then what American expect, but you could order as much as you wanted. If we had a hard time deciding between two different entrees, no problem, we ordered them both. The service was for the most part great, we had one or two waiters that were not too happy to be there, when we had one of these, we gave no tip! The beach was unreal, white sand, plenty of chairs, plenty of sun or shade and the water was blue but a little cloudy. We are pool people for the most part so no big deal to us. We still had a great time whenever we went down to the beach, hey its the Caribbean and we were not looking for the bad, we came to enjoy the good! We took the 5-6 hour trip over to Catalina Island, do not miss this trip. Unreal place, here is your clear blue water that you can see 20-30 feet down in. Great snorkeling, took a ton of underwater shots here. Friendly locals helping you get chairs and drinks and I do not remember anyone putting their hands out wanting a tip in return. Rum drinks, cold beer, soft drinks and a great spread for lunch, grilled chicken and pork chops, almost as good as mine back home. We could have stayed here all day. All in all this was a great trip, the Dominican people are second to none as far as being friendly and not all over you like so many other places in the Caribbean. The staff at Dreams were all great, bar service slow at some of the bars but you cant beat the price. We only tipped those that went above and beyond with their service, and those we tipped well. Rooms were spotless every time we returned in the late afternoon to get ready for dinner. Entertainment staff did a great job and never pressured you to join in, they simply asked if you wanted to join in with whatever they had going on at the time. We cant wait to return soon! Thank you Cheap Caribbean for a great 6 nights, we will be calling again real soon. The Seawells

From: Carol C Johnson Schwinksville, PA Catalonia Riviera Maya July 16, 2009 to July 23, 2009. Catalonia was very nice, clean, staff very plesant cheerful and anxious to please. Buffet was a little disappointing. Specialty resturants were great!! Beech was much smaller than the pictures made it look.We weren't aloud to try windsurfing unless we had certification. (??)Most resorts allow use of sail boats by guests, but at the Catalonia you get a short ride with a staff member, even though we own our own sail boat, and know how to sail. I wish that would have been noted in some way, because we picked the Catalonia because of all the water activities. Cheapcarribean.com was easy to use. Travel doccuments easy to access and understand. Carol Johnson

The Nardo FamilyDates of travel - July 19-26We stay at the Marriott Resort at Grand Cayman IslandOur stay the Marriott and Grand Cayman was Excellent. My family of five had 2 rooms at the Marriott and we were very comfortable there. They are building a new resort next to the Marriott but the construction did not bother us at all, it was mostly inside construction. I guess that is why the price was so good that we got at the Marriott. The hotel was very clean and and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have an ocean front room but that was okay b/c our room overlooked a beautiful turtle pond that was so pretty to look at. The resort was not huge so walking distance to the beach was very close. The beach was beautiful. It was not crowded the week we went. There were always plenty of umbrellas and chairs available. The reef in front of the resort was awesome. We snorkeled it everyday and saw some really cool fish. We ate at only 1 of the restaurants. The food at the resort was very expensive, so we had rented a car and ventured out to find places to eat. We ate in downtown alot at night. Some of our favorite restaurants were, The Conch, Cimboccos, and Chicken-Chicken. Food at these places and others was still very very pricey but it was better than eating at the resort. We also bought drinks at the grocery store and kept them in our room refrig. Much cheaper to do this than to buy drinks at the resort. Keep in mind that the stores are closed on Sundays in Grand Cayman. We rented a car while were on the island. I highly recommend that, as you can come and go as you wish and see the beautiful island. We scuba dove and snorkeled. The dive shop at the Marriott was overpriced and I would not recommend booking any excursions through them. If you go downtown there are plenty of dive shops that are much cheaper. There is also a dive shop at the Comfort Inn right beside the Marriott that we booked the Stingray City tour through. They also took us on 2 snorkeling sites. It was a great experience and would recommend this trip through them. Divetech is another dive shop we used. They have a beautiful facility and location and great diving. My husband and boys did a night dive through them and my daughter and I did a shallow dive right off the shore. We had no complaints except for the resort prices, but since we had a car it was no problem really. Other than that we loved the Marriott Resort. We also did the Turtle Farm one morning. We only did the turtle part but it was neat to see. I would make sure you don't go when the Cruise ship people are there. You can see when the cruise ships are there from the Marriott beach and avoid all excursions when they are in port. Grand Cayman is a great island and a must see for all.

The Verandah was a great place for a relaxing vacation. My husband and I were looking for a quiet, all-inclusive resort where we didn't have to be concerned with many details. This place was the perfect vacation spot for us! It was neat, clean, and very well maintained. The grounds are beautiful with lush banana trees, palms, and flowers. My favorite spot was the adult pool. It was quiet and beautiful. There was plenty of shade and chairs for everyone -- never overcrowded. The food at the Verandah was good. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and they always had local ingredients and dishes to try. We always ate lunch at the beach bar which was great (burgers, chicken Cesar salad or BBQ ribs) especially the location and views! Dinner was good and there was a choice of 3 restaurants. If you want a knock-your-socks off meal while staying at the Verandah, The Long Bay Inn right next door is a small hotel that caters to foodies. Definitely worth the money to go and it's only a short walk from the Verandah. I would go back again in a heartbeat and have already recommended the Verandah to family and friends.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time on our vacation. It wasn't long enough. I would definitely recommend the Marriott Hotel. Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean, the staff was accommodating, and the pool and beach a place to spend the entire day relaxing. I am ready to go again!-- Kim

Dear CheapCaribbean.com,My name is Vasilis Psoras and I recently traveled to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with my wife Kristin Atkinson. We stayed at the Paradisus Resort from July 22 to July 29, 2009. Additionally, my siblings also booked their vacation during the same dates at the Paradisus Resort. Generally, our trip was relaxing, pleasant and memorable. The amenities and decor of the Paradisus Resort are as advertised on the web site. They were four star accommodations with a spectacular beach and a plethora of day and night activities. The resort offered free activities such as horseback riding, archery, access to a health spa and a fitness center. Moreover, the beach and the pool were impressive. The water was a turquoise blue with a white sandy beach, while the pool was extensive with a pool side bar, volleyball net and plenty of space for privacy. Our only regret about the resort was the quality of the food and the inexperience of the wait staff. The "reserved" restaurants offered multiple courses but the wait staff would serve these courses at the same time, i.e. they would serve the fish and meat courses simultaneously. Moreover, the wait staff spoke very little English. Also, the food was not prepared to my family's liking, such as the seafood and duck would not be served to the degree of doneness ordered. Our critique of the food is not without worth. My family and I are discerning eaters with much exposure to a variety of cuisines and dining experiences in NYC. My wife is a trained chef who graduated from the French Culinary Arts with honors. The food was mediocre at best and often disappointing. Overall, the experience of our trip that we booked through CheapCaribbean.com was enjoyable and worthwhile. I look forward to planning future vacations through your web site. Sincerely,Vasilis Psoras & Kristin AtkinsonRego Park, NY

Our vacation to NH Real Arena in Punta Cana, Domican Republic was fantastic. From the time we arrived until we left, everything was perfect. Our room was upgraded closer to the ocean with a perfect view. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our room was always cleaned early which was nice. The beach is beautiful with plenty of activities there and at the pool. The employees at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Some spanish is helpful. We ate at all of the restaurants with the exception of the italian. We preffered the buffet for the wide variety of food. My only other advice is to bring some singles for tipping because everyone goes out of their way. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone, and I have since I have been back. FANTISTIC TRIP

yes had a good time in aruba. there could have been a few more selections at the coral dining room for dinner. It was very limited. There was no chicken tenders at any of the restaurants. traveled with alot of kids. a must have for kids....the waiters were very nice and helpful. although it could have been much cooler at the restaurants. At the Da Vinci restaurant there was no cappachino for three days and a very limited variety of desserts because they ran out of the popular ones, and I think that had to be two or three nights as well. There should be ac in the elevators...boy was it hot in there...Thats all I can think of right now. At least the kids had a good time. Oh yeah love the huts.....

My husband and I planned a last minute trip to Cancun this July. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at the Riu Cancun. The beach was fantastic the water temperature perfect for me.Much more refreshing than the pool water The hotel is nice. The pool could use a bit of scrubbing along the top and bottom of the tiled areas.Need more staff at the pool swim up bar The rooms was nice but they could use to update the bedspreads. Our room was exactly as weSaw it online- with a dark blue bedspread that did not do justice to the marble flooring throughout The room and bathroom, the room was nice and bright with a few tropical pictures and the darkBlue bedspread did nothing for the room. I actually took it off the bed and used a lightweight blanketIn the closet. Since this was considered off season I thought we would not have any issues making dinner reservationsIn the restaurants We didnt arrive until after 3pm on our first day and was unable to make dinnerReservations because reservations are only made between 7am and 11am at the Mexican restaurant. When making reservations the next day (Tuesday) we were unable to get into any of the restaurants Because they said they were full. We only were able to make a Thursday in the Steakhouse and Friday in The Mexican The one problem I have with this is that the restaurants were not FULL. They only Booked so many people per seating and I dont think that is right.. We ate our breakfast in the Buffet in the hotel each day many choices and the food was good.We ate several 2 of our dinners here as well and found the same - - many choices and food was good.We did not have a reservation for the Asian Restaurant but walked in and they made a point that weNeeded a reservation (place was practically empty) and they sat us anyway. The food her was extremelyTasty. We were so full we couldnt even have desert they are famous for their Fried Ice Cream we metSeveral people who said we really missed out it is fantastic so if you go try the Fried Ice Cream. The Mexican Restaurant was fantastic they have a small buffet as well as you can order off the menu.. The Steakhouse which is located by the pool this is another breakfast buffet and a lunch and snack venue During the day. This I didnt enjoy the rib eye steak was below average did not enjoy. I made this Reservation to celebrate my husbands birthday and to try it out not one of my favorites.. Then there is a pizza/bar at the opposite end of the Steakhouse/pool bar/buffet the pizza is really goodAnd they make the best drinks If you want top shelf just ask no questions you get it Downside was there is no AC throughout the halls, lobby and most importantly the Elevators can do withoutThe halls but at night it was so humid it was hard to sit in the lobby and enjoy a drink at the bar unless you wereDirectly in front of a window and a trade wind was blowing and the elevator best not to take a shower before Going out you will sweat to death in the elevator.. All in all we had a fantastic time the food was good the spirits were good we are thinking of going backNext year with our two teenagers and asking friends and family if they would like to go.., Could be a big Party.. we will see. Thanks for getting us a great rate CheapCaribbean.com we had a fantastic time and will look at your site Next year for rates Kim Hohner

Hello CheapCaribbean.com: We really enjoyed our visit to the Dominican republic and took advantage of the deal in July (July 17-24). Although it rained for a couple of days we enjoyed the resort. There was a problem with the air conditioning in our room (it leaked all over the floor and could not be fixed after several attempts) but Ulysses, the assistant manager, moved us to a spa room for the last two days for our inconvenience and it was a welcome relief. The spa rooms are really nice and quiet. The food was great except for the Mexican food which we found to be not so great and being from San Antonio we are used to great Mexican food. The tours were a good value but should consider raising the price to $50 for the city tour and provide cold water. There was not any place to stop and get something to drink. The city tour should concentrate less on his friends (whom I suspect were paying him something to bring us there because the prices were unusually high)for shopping and let us have a specified period of time to roam around for ourselves. We did not get to purchase jewelry at the amber Museum although that would probably been a great reliable source to buy amber. We really liked the outback tour and wished we would have known prior to bring school supplies for the school (A trip I took to Jamaica we donated books to the library so I knew about bringing supplies for the school). The cable car ride was probably the highlight of the city tour and well worth the time spent. The Fort was great too. The food supplied on both tours was very good. Sun Village was very nice, the staff helpful and friendly and I would love to go back again as soon as I find another deal like I had the first time. Right now the flights are much longer than we had on this trip so we are waiting to see what you offer next. We were booked under Robert and Susan Spegar for the Sun Village Resort in Puerto Plata from July 17 to 24, 2009. Great trip and we want to go again!Susan Spegar, RLA, ASLA

Our stay in Peurto Plata was the week between 7/19/09 to 7/25/09.The resort, Sun Village, was fair. Staff seemed to break their back to be friendly. The room air conditioner might have been better, but we didn't roast. Our particular condo was near all activities within reasonable walking distance.Rain was a daily occurance, but didn't curb too much activity.Pools were greatOcean was bad for all the rocks off-shore.Food at main buffet was edible, but not sensational!Food at reserved restaurants was out of this world for the main part. Only 1 bad experience.Next time we probably would want to try Punta Cana instead of Peurto Plato.

This was the second year in a row we booked a trip to Blue Bay Esmeralda through CheapCaribbean. Booking it online was easy as usual. Documents were accurate and complete, transfers easy and having a representative at the hotel is great. My only issue with CheapCaribbean is that they will not lower your price if they run a cheaper special on the same resort (during the same time period), like other websites do. Our experience with Blue Bay was not up to the 5 star quality that we experienced last year. The facilities (up keep of the buildings) and the service was more like a 3 star. We had a hard time getting enough towels each day (always out of washcloths etc:), hard time getting reservations at the restaurants (even when you went early the day before as suggested) and NEVER enough carts to take you back and forth to the beach, other buildings and lobby. My husband has a lung condition and walking from building 6 to the beach is not something he can easily do. Last year carts came by every 5-10 minutes. This year you could easily wait 30 minutes.Joy Hall

We had a wonderdul time in San Juan, although it rained for 2 days, one day was a complete washout because of a Tropical Wave that came through. The San Juan Marriott was a really nice hotel. The service was good. The beach was okay except for cigarette butts and little trash that people left. We liked the tour of Old San Juan. We caught the metro for 75 cents to old San Juan and then rode on the free trolley around Old San Juan. We would go back again.

This was one of the most delightful trips my husband and I have ever had. The hotel staff were wonderful and the access to good vacation wake up coffee and donuts was only a step away from our door.

My husband and I stayed at the Turtle Beach Resort in Barbados from 7/25 to 8/1. We were not entirely pleased with the hotel. Check-in was very easy and the staff (at check-in) was friendly. We had been married in St. Lucia the week before and were traveling on a Carribean airline to Barbados. The airline had not sent my husband's luggage so we spent the first night and most of the second day trying to get ahold of his suitcase. The woman at the front desk called the airline repeatedly to try to help us. She informed us that she was leaving at 3:30 and for us to come back at 3:00 and she would call again before we left. We ended up dealing with another man at the front desk at that time. We explained that we had been waiting for two days for the suitcase and he called as well. We went back again at 5:30 in the evening of the second day to have them call again when a bellman came up and informed us that his suitcase was at the hotel and had been delivered hours ago. Though the staff was helpful with calling, we were a little upset that they had known that we had been trying to track down our baggage for two days and couldn't be bothered to let us know that the suitcase had arrived. Even if they didn't know, why would they leave a suitcase sitting there for hours? The rooms at the hotel were nice. There were flowers waiting for us when we arrived to congratulate us on our honeymoon, which was nice. Some housekeeping staff were friendly, others were rude. There were only two bars that we saw at the hotel and they provided drinks for each of the restaurants, so if you wanted to get a drink yourself you had a very long wait and the bartenders were very rushed (understandably) and stressed out. The pools were small and were overrun with children. Nightly entertainment was not so good. The food at the restaurants was average. Service was ok. At the two larger restaurants there was often a very long wait time for someone to take your drink order and you often had to flag someone down to get it taken at all. One thing that did bother us was that the restaurant staff was constantly asking what our room number was. When you were seated, they would ask your room number and mark it down. That was fine. At one meal they asked us when we came in what our room number was and sat us. After we had been seated and had our drinks and food, someone came over and said, "I came to take your drink order but what is your room number?" We clearly had our drinks and food in front of us. Literally two minutes later someone else just came over and asked us "What is your room number?" It doesn't seem like a big deal but it was annoying to be asked constantly throughout the meal and after going through it day after day we began to feel like they were keeping tabs on us or like they didn't believe we were registered guests or something. The beach at the hotel was ok as well. It was rather small and you could almost never get a chair. Many of the chairs were missing cushions or were broken. The water was beautiful but was very rough and there was a strong current. If you were looking to try out a non-motorized water sport I would be very careful. Unfortunately, I probably would not recommend this hotel.-Jacqui Atkins

Lucy TengPhilly, PATraveled July 16 to 21 2009Couples Swept Away (Negril, Jamaica) My boyfriend and I stayed at Couples Swept Away this past July and had a lovely time. We loved how this resort took care of us from the moment we left customs. There is a Couples room at the airport for those arriving to wait. We were offered Red Stripe and waited no more than 20 min before a van took us to the resort. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room, the grounds, the beach, etc. were all beautifully cared for. The staff was friendly and knew our names by the end of our stay. Snorkeling and catamaran trips are included whcih was also wonderful. We filled our days with beach, sand, snorkeling, and of course lots of rum drinks. Depature was also smooth because we provided the resort with our flight times upon check-in. On the day we checked our, there was a bus that took us to the airport. We are planning to return next year and would highly recommend this resort.

Thanks for getting us a great rate CheapCaribbean.com we had a fantastic time and will look at your site Next year for rates

Names: James Wright, Terri Phillips Desticantion: Dominican RepublicResort: Majestic EleganceDates: June 13 - June 18 What can I say: Awesome just does not do this trip justice. We were a little aprehensive after reading some reviews, but after we arrived our fears were long gone. I am not sure were the people who wrote the review stayed, but it was not at this resort. The hotel was amazing. The room was spotless, the views were incrediable, and the service was great. We were a short walking distance from the beach and spent most of our time relaxing in the sun, no worries! We had a swim up room, and there were no signs or smells of mildew. There was not a ladder from the room to the pool, but that was not a problem for us. The hotel has an on sight photography studio, which was not advertised anywhere, and we had the most amazing picuture taken. We never left the resort. Our five night vacation was not near long enough and were not ready to go home. We will definately be returning!

Phyllis Reardon Fl. Traveled to the Excellence Playa Mujeres in Cancun on June 22, 2009 - June 26, 2009. At first I thought we paid to much but after being there it was worth every penny, you get what you pay for. The resort was beautiful, clean, all the stafff extremely helpful and courteous, the food was fantastic. I would and I am recommending this resort to everyone. We are planning on going back there next year and every year on our anniversary. I got sun poisoning but that was my fault, spent one day in the room sick. Next time I go there I wont be such a sun hound. The beach and the pool and the weather was so nice, hard to resist the sun. I did put on lotion but I guess I shouldn't of been out side all day. Oh well, still had a great time and cant wait to go back. I thought the trip was great. The agency that transported us to and from the resort was very reliable and punctual. They also educated us on the trip to and from the resort on travel tips and info about the island. Our representative at the resort was very helpful and the tours avaliable were very reasonably priced. We had a great trip! Thanks,Candace RiedlSun Village in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic has to be the most beautiful resort that I have ever seen. The elevation from the resort entrance down to the sea allows for the creative and scenic terraces, pools, waterfalls and tropical splendor at the many different levels. The staff (especially the waiters and bartenders) were most pleasant, friendly and accomodating. The food was fantastic. We dined in the specialty restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed them, however the main restaurant, The Malibu, was what we liked the most. They're assortment of dishes was great and the preparation was delightful. After reading some of the negative reviews prior to our trip my wife and I were a bit apprehensive but I must say after many vacations throughout the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Europe, Hawaii and Australia, our week in Sun Village rates right up at the top. If I had to rack my brain for any negatives the only things I would mention are: 1. The Time Share salesmen. They get to be a little bit of a nuisance, but they were still polite. 2. Not the best beach in the world, but more than usable. 3. The stairs and inclines are a little tough for us Senior Citizens and out of shape youngsters, but as I stated it is definitely part of the beauty. Cheap Caribbean had the entire trip well planned, organized and delivered as promised. The people that wrote those horrendous reviews might as well stay home. They are definitely almost impossible to please. The trip was overall good. We traveled from June 21st through the 26th. We went to the Grand Bahamas Island and stayed at the Viva Wyndham all inclusive resort. The flight to the Bahamas went smoothly, only one minor glitch was a gate change in Atlanta that we had to sprint to get to the new gate, but other than that, the air portion met our expectations. We had rain on Tuesday for about 20 minutes and it rained about half the day on Wednesday, but despite this, the weather held up and we had a good visit. The room we stayed in met our expectations. It was nice and clean and the house keeping staff was very attentive to our needs. My only complaint was the dining facility. There was no air conditioning in the main dining area. It was very uncomfortable and that made eating inside very unpleasant. The food and deserts were good, but the heat melted things very fast. It made things very messy. The fine dining restaurants were air conditioned, they were pleasant and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant areas. But they were only open for dinner. The food in those areas was delicious and exceeded our expectations. In the heat of the day the beach side grill and bar were a nice amenity. The lounge chairs and covered areas to find shade on the beach were abundant. Overall we were very satisfied with our trip and look forward to booking another trip next year, perhaps to Aruba. Thank you, George Poulos

We enjoyed Secrets Maroma Beach from 7/12-18/09. This was our second booking with CheapCaribbean.com and everything was perfect. After a brief direct flight from Tampa, we made our way through the airport to our transportation. Listen to Caribbean Jim when he tells you not to stop for anyone after you pick up your luggage. Go directly outside to your waiting transfers. Do not listen to the very official looking guides that will handily move you into a line for a timeshare or excursion sales pitch without even knowing it. So after our brief detour, we found our tour company who transferred us to the resort quickly and comfortably. Once at the resort, we were treated like royalty except for not giving us an upgrade even though I am a Preferred Hotel member. Unfortunately, we met several couples who were quickly upgraded without even asking. We ended up paying for the upgrade to the Preferred Club, which gave us an amazing view of the beach and pools, plus use of the preferred lounge. Probably worth it, especially if you dont get to see the beach everyday. The partial ocean view suites really do not provide any view of the ocean as they are all located on the second floor the only thing you have a view of is the treetops. The rooms, which are basically all the same, are fabulous and were kept immaculate during our stay. The staff at this resort were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Everything was my pleasure and they made a point to ask and use your name. The variety of restaurants was good though not every one is open each night. The food was above average and again the service was excellent. I wished they had a larger selection of house wines as the bottles for purchase were expensive. We received resort credits to use during our stay, but they really didnt make them easy to use. They restricted how much you could use at one time and what you could use them on. The spa was beautiful, but again I found it to be extremely expensive. I dont mind paying resort prices for these services, but these were the highest prices Ive ever seen. If you are looking for a romantic, relaxed vacation in a beautiful tropical setting, Secrets Maroma is definitely a great choice. Sandy and Ken, FL

My entire family recently went on vacation booked through Cheap Caribbean. It was the best vacation. Everything was so simple, to checking in at the airport, finding our transportation from the airport to the resort and checking in at the resort. The resort was beautiful. Much prettier than the pictures. We had all kinds of water activities and tours of the Dominican. We were even offered free rides into town by the transportation booked through Cheap Caribbean. We went snorkeling, swimming in "the natural pool", road sail boats, and went to the flea markets. It was an awesome, and relaxing vacation. I would definitely book through Cheap Caribbean again. I have already recommended it to my friends. The one thing that i was disappointed in was that when our trip was booked there was only one flight going to the Dominican that had an hour flight to another state with a 4 hour layover (coming and going). A week or so later a second DIRECT flight was scheduled from our departure place to the Dominican but we were not able to transfer flights.... even though the second flight was not booked . The direct flight left just a few minutes before our flight did coming and going. Jessica BarefootHartsville, SC July 17 - 24 NH Real Arena Punta Cana

My sister and I just returned (on July 23, 2009) from a week in The Bahamas, residing at the British Colonial Hilton. The hotel was great; without question. This was my 15th trip to Nassau (so I guess you can say that I'm a 'Bahama Mama') and I've stayed at various places in Nassau, Cable Beach and Paradise Island. Additionally, I owned a timeshare on Paradise Island until recently. I'd stayed at the British long before it was renovated and I can honestly say that the transformation is truly remarkable! The location right in the pulse of Nassau's craziness is wonderful; I love it! It was great being in a location where most everything is within walking distance - food, drink, catching the local bus to go out into the city to shop, the straw market, watching the Junkanoo Parade, Senor Frogs, night clubs/night life and all of the fine shops on Bay Street. The hotel's staff was superb, from the front desk to the bellman. I had not stayed at the BC since the 90's but I'd stopped in often to see a local Bahamian vocal artist so I knew that the lobby had been totally renovated. However, the room was immaculate and very nicely decorated with beautiful marble floors. The bathroom was spacious, especially by hotel standards, and very nice also. The hotel's restaurants are superb; serving high-quality foods at reasonable prices. The buffets are simply marvelous; a sight to behold and partake of! I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay; I was totally pleased from check-in through check-out. My only regret is that I couldn't stay another week! My sister feels the same way; we were sad when the Majestic Tours bus came to pick us up last Thursday to take us back to the airport. For those of you who are planning a trip to Nassau soon but have not yet made a reservation, you should consider booking your trip through the website CheapCarribean.com. When I was planning this trip in late June, I just happened upon their website and they definitely offered the best package deals. After some research, I decided to book through them and the whole experience was excellent! I spoke with a representative and finalized the trip over the phone and when I arrived home, my whole package was waiting for me via email - travel voucher, hotel voucher with special request, round-trip voucher to and from the airport, who to contact in case of an emergency in Nassau, a $50 coupon to be used towards future travel through CheapCarribean, a $100 per day guarantee (including implicit details) in case one (or more) of your beach days is/are rained out in Nassau (upon confirmation that you were actually rained out) and most importantly, all fees are included in your final price; not one additional cent was owed at check-out; our balance was $0. Now that's the way your vacation should end so needless to say, I was more than pleased with this trip from start to finish and would return to the BCH in a heartbeat!Note, that last week I also submitted this same review on TripAdvisor and I'm waiting to see it actually posted to that particular website. We were at the Barcelo Maya Palace 5/5 - 14/09. Our trip began just as the swine flu scare got into full swing. We were not the least bit concerned and never considered canceling our trip and we are so glad we didn't. The time we were there, the resort was only at 10% capacity, which was fantastic for us, but terrible for the workers. Although the resort was so empty, we never once got the feeling they were skimping in any way on their services or amenities. Of course a few restaurants and one theatre was closed, but that was perfectly understandable. Every single nook and cranny of the resort was spotlessly clean and the attention to every detail was quite evident. The only remotely negative thing I can say about the whole trip was that perhaps they were a little too attentive because they were not used to being so idle. Diane at Cheap Caribbean helped us book this trip and she was great. I had a quick question just before we were to leave and had to call Cheap Caribbean. Due to so many people canceling their trips due to the swine flu, I was on hold for quite some time. When I got to talk to someone (sorry, don't remember her name) she was very pleasant and helpful despite the fact she thought I was calling to cancel too. She was surprised (and I think appreciative) to hear I just had a simple question! To sum up, I can't say enough good about Cheap Caribbean and the Barcelo Maya Palace. We stayed at Le Blanc Resort and Spa in Cancun, Mexico on July 15-22nd. Booking was simple through Cheap Caribbean. We even included the transfer at the time of booking so someone was right there for us after exiting the airport. Le Blanc was without a doubt one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed at. The location was excellent. We walked less then 10 minutes to the downtown area and enjoyed a drink at Carlos and Charlies. The minute you walk or drive up someone is there to meet you from the resort with a cold towel. When we left the resort they came running after us with cold bottles of water to take with us. The food at all of the restaurants is five star. We had a bottle of wine with dinner every night (all included in the package). My husband one night had a mixed seafood grill with garlic sauce...included a piece of salmon, piece of tuna, piece of grouper, scallops, shrimp and 2 prawns. He told the chef it was the best meal he has had anywhere in a long time. He really enjoyed it.The infinity pool was incredible. I spent 30-45 minutes 3 times a day floating in it. They have 3 pools and none were ever crowded. We had a room overlooking the ocean on one side and the lagoon to the other side. Aromatherapy was throughout the hotel so it always smelled great. Our fridge was stocked with whatever drinks we liked. They had a bottle of wine waiting when we checked in. The spa was incredible. Had a full body massage that each upgraded to from our included 25 minute massage. The most enjoyable thing about this resort is the people who work there. The service and attention is like nothing we ever experienced. Even the cook carried over my food from the buffet after he made my eggs!! They are there at the pool within minutes to ask if you would like a drink. They come around with cold towels and popsicles while you are sitting at the pool. They will even serve you a drink in the pool (there is a swim up bar as well) if you like. All this is done with a warm smile. Nothing is too much trouble, we constantly heard "it is my pleasure." We own 3 time shares and have been to many Caribbean islands some all inclusive and have never been treated this way anywhere. I am already planning our next trip back. Thank you Cheap Caribbean and Leblanc Resort and Spa for a wonderful vacation celebrating our 5th year wedding anniversary.Dee FlorentHaverhill, MA

Debbie FramelCatalonia Riveria MayaJuly 8th through the 14th 2009Catalonia Riveria Maya ReviewMy husband and I chose this resort because we were taking another couple as a Christmas gift to them and we wanted to keep our expenses down. Let me say we were not dissapointed!I booked this through Cheap Caribbean and that was the way to go. When we arrived we waited about 15 mintues and were picked up by a shuttle that took us straight to the hotel, piece of cake. We have traveled for the past 3 years with Cheap Caribbean and have always had complete success. They are a class act from top to bottom. We even loved our resort representative named David. Rooms: We are used to staying in a 5 star resort and when we got there were expecting something that was a step down but to be honest we were very pleased with the rooms. Yes they are smaller but they were nice, comfortable beds, very cool, and very quiet. My only advice is ask if oyur room has a shower/bath combo or just a shower. I like to take baths before bed and our room just had a deluxe shower. No problem, just a tip for some of you!Service: Was amazing! EVERYONE from the dinner staff to the pool bar staff to the entertainment staff were outstanding. The lady cleaning our room was great as well. We came back each day to a cute little towel sculpture. Rooms were kept spotless and we did not deal with ANY problems the entire week. Beach: We loved this as well. Yea it is a little rocky but we brought the slip on shoes everyone recommended and they were fine. We did not get a chance to snorkel on our beach but heard it was great as well. ALOT to do from volleyball, bocce ball to sailing to water activities and our most favorite was painting our take home souveniers which were glazed. We never had a problem getting chairs if you made it out somewhat early. Entertainment: Went to one show called NIGHTMARE and it was terrific! They have shows in the theatre every night. We only made the one but heard great things about all the others as well. Expecially the Lion King. Food/Drinks: I was worried after reading reviews here about the food but man these people are way off. The buffets are great! They have all different types of theme nights and they offer a wide choice of food. We honestly enjoyed everything we ate while we were visiting. We did eat at three of the restaurants where you need reservations. The Japanese restaurant was the best but the Mexican and Steakhouse restaurants were tremendous as well. Drinks were available everywhere you turned. Pool bars had great service and could make anything you could think of! I got hooked on the mudslides! I loved the mojito from the beach bar. The bartenders there made them the best. Excursions: We went on 2 different trips which we booked at the resort with our representative. One was a snorkling trip that we were not too impressed with and the other was the NEW park X-PLOR. Trust me, go visit XPLOR. It is a little pricy but well wirth the visit. 11 ziplines, undergournd caves where you boat and swim, lunch served, underground caves you explore on a water/land type of 4 wheeler. It was a blast! Also went to PDC a few times. Shuttle is not good to take because it only runs twice per day which sorta sucked but oh well, it was only 14$ one way for the group. I DO SUGGEST a place in PDC called Oasis to get a massage.. We we went there, paid 90$ and got a free drink and both got an hour 1/2 long massage.. We loved it so much we went back the next day for another visit! Talk to Tony (Antonio, speaks very good english!) he will hook you up! HE is awesome. My husband and a friend of his also went golfing at the resort PLAYACAR which is close to the Cat, WELL WORTH IT!!We had a terrific time. When we go back, and we will, we will spend more time just site seeing around our resort. We never made it to the Marina or anywhere around the outside of the Cat.. That we regret. I came home and tried to rebook for Thanksgiving weekend but couldn't find a good flight from Oklahoma. WE will go back.

Our vacation to the Grand Palladium - Riviera Maya, Mexico, was wonderful. After a rocky start due to our flight being canceled and luggage lost for a day, we had a great vacation. The girls at Cheap Caribbean.com were so helpful in getting our resort reservation and land transportation arranged during the stressful delay. The resort was wonderful. This was our first time to go to Mexico and there will certainly be another trip in our future. The Grand Palladium was beautiful and the staff were very kind and professional. The food was good and the drinks were plenty! The beach was very nice and relaxing. Plenty of lounge chairs and Palapas to relax under and the water was clear and refreshing. The pool was HUGE! Everything was very clean and ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. The ground transportation to and from the airport was very efficient and friendly. Our contact for the return trip was Keshim with Olympus Travels.. He was a true delight and we really enjoyed our meeting with him. We will definitely use CheapCaribbean.com again and highly recommend it to others.Thanks.Linda VanceAmarillo, Texas
