We took our nine year Granddaughter to Puerto Rico for nine days because she loves the ocean. We had frequently gone to Ocean City, Maryland or Rehoboth, Delaware because they are about 140 miles from where we live in Potomac, MD. Although the beach is nice, there are no top notch hotels and the beach cannot compare with Isla Verde, Puerto Rico. CheapCarribean.com found us a package at the Ritz Carlton with a beach only surpassed by Bora Bora in the French Polynesian Islands and the cost was much less than we would have paid in Ocean City, Maryland or Rehoboth Delaware, including airfare. Since we must cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which is always backed up for miles in the summer, to get to the ocean, the time to fly non-stop to Puerto Rico took no more time. We will use CheapCaribbean.com togo back to Puerto Rico, Costa Rico or another island next summer.

Kristi Campbell and Zachary PucciCoudersport, PA 16915Travel dates: 08/15/09-08/19/09Viva Wyndham Maya ResortPlaya del Carmen, MexicoWe had a wonderful time in Playa del Carmen. We didn't experience any problems traveling to Mexico, meeting an agent for a ride to the hotel, or checking into the hotel. Cheapcaribbean was amazing and made the entire process completely painless and hassle free. We visited Tulum while we were there and loved it. The only thing we thought could be better was our hotel room. It was outdated compared to places we have stayed before but it wasn't bad. It was just older. The resort was beautiful and on a private beach. The pool had a swim up bar, which we loved. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation and we will definitely be booking through cheapcaribbean in the future. Thanks!!! =)

My boyfriend and I had a great time in Jamaica. We stayedat the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort for a week. The food was great, although the seafood restaurant should warn guests that they will serve fish with the heads still on. The pools are clear and beautiful and the rooms were extremely comfortable. Any problems we had were immediately resolved and the staff even called to check to make sure that those issues were resolved. We will definitely be returning to Jamaica and hope to stay at the resort again. It did rain, but it short bursts and the sun was back out. Thankfully Cheap Caribbean offerend the SPF 100 Protection Plan. The buildings at the resort are new, so some work is still be completed but definitely did not affect our trip. Will book again. Thanks

CHEAP CARIBBEAN I WAS MORE THAN SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING. THE FLIGHTS WERE GREAT. THE VIVA WYNDHAM DOMINICUS PALACE RESORT WAS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE LACK OF OTHER TRAVELERS SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE. NEXT TIME I BOOK, WHICH SHOULD BE FOR A TRIP MID NOV. I WILL INQUIRE ABOUT RESORTS THAT ATTRACT MORE AMERICANS. THE TURINTER TOUR PEOPLE WERE GREAT. SANTOS , THERE REPRESENTATIVE WAS GREAT. VERY HELPFUL. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING THAT HAPPENED WAS MY FAULT. I HAD PURCHASED WEATHER PROTECTION AND I LOST ALL MY INFO TO GET THE 100.00 OFF MY NEXT TRIP. I HAD RAIN 3 DAYS. ONLY ONE DAY AFFECTED MY TRIP BECAUSE IT RAINED ALL DAY. I PLAN ON GOING ON ANOTHER TRIP TO PORTA PLATA, THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC IN NOV. AND I WILL CONTACT YOU FIRST TO GET PRICING. I HOPE TO TRAVEL 3 OR 4 TIMES A YEAR AND I WILL CHECK WITH CHEAP CARIBBEAN EACH TIME. THANKS WILLIAM MAHONEY

Hi! My name is Jana Johnson from Stuart, FL. My family and I traveled to The Gran Bahia Principe in La Romana, DR, July 1, 2009-July 5, 2009. Our trip was basically ok, but I do not think I would visit the DR again. Cheap Caribbean phone rep was very pleasant and the trip was easy to book. The resort was clean and very pretty, but very limited air conditioning. The reservations for the restaurants were very hard to make and not easy to get. We were not told they were only open certain nights.. The food was good although no choice of diet drinks or light beer. The excursions we booked were fun, but a little misleading. One excursion we were never picked up and we had to figure out on our own what happened only to find out the excursion was overbooked. We did get to go, but were made to feel like it was our fault. The staff at the resort was very nice, but the language barrier was very hard if you only spoke English. All of the above I have mentioned I think should have been touched on in the resort information. We made the best of it and did have fun, just wouldn't do again. Sincerely, Jana Johnson

Dear CheapCaribbean.com I wanted to give you feedback from my wife and I from our honeymoon. We stayed at the Rui Palace on Aruba from August 9th through the 17th. We had great accommodations and highly recommend this hotel to EVERYONE coming to Aruba. The all inclusive package saved us over a thousand dollars in food and drinks and came recommended from two of your customer service reps who stayed there as well. We made a few friends there and most folks went through a travel agent or other website. We found that by booking 3 months in advance under your Cheap Finder tab on your website we saved a total of $1,600 t0 $3,800 less than everyone else we met AND we stayed for anywhere from 1 to 3 days more than everyone else. So by booking with Cheap Caribbean we stayed on our honeymoon longer and paid much less. Plus when I had questions about our package there was a LIVE person who took the time to cover all my questions. Even when it was something simple that I overlooked, they were polite and took the time to tell me where to look on my confirmation where the information was. When we landed in Aruba, it was the day after our wedding and we had very little sleep. I was tired and just wanted to get to our hotel. Many folks ran ahead and grabbed the taxis that were at the airport, however because of Cheap Caribbean we had hotel transfers covered and didnt have to wait to get to our hotel. The packages that were available at the time of booking (submarine tour, bus tour, and other services) were cheaper on line than what we found when we were on the island. We could have saved over $200 in the day trips we took by booking those with you, but I thought by being there in person that we would have gotten a better deal. I was wrong and should have trusted you for the activities as well. I highly recommend using Cheap Caribbean to book any trip over a travel agent or calling the airlines and hotels yourself. Its the smart and cheapest way to vacation at a GREAT value. Thank you CheapCaribbean, Christian Prickett

We went to San Jose Los Cabos, Mexico for 15 days. It was a super nice vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very decent. They had shows for the first nine nights we were there and then because they were only at 35% they stopped the shows. There is so many excursions to do in Cabo we were going on one every other day. They waved the hotel fee (I don't know why). I would recommend to go in the winter because it was very hot between 107 and 110. We're from Florida and used to the heat and we found it very hot being most of the restaurants are outside. We stayed at the El Presidente InterContinental del Cabo. Micheline RauchDaytona Beach, FL

My family of four loved our vacation! We got off to a shaky start with the first booking - Gran Caribe in Cancun with the taped off beach and armed military patrol, but after a frantic fax, Amy found us another hotel - the NH Rivera. We were at first skeptical but willing to try and it was outstanding! We were only there three nights and pined for five which we will definitely do the next time. The service was impeccable, food good (especially the buffets), pool gorgeous and the side trips we took were amazing. Nancy Tweed

Another successful, relaxing and enjoyable vacation thanks in part to CheapCaribbean.com I spent a glorious week (August 4 - 11, 2009) at the Sunset Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica. CheapCaribbean's assistance was invaluable in terms of airlplane reservations, hotel reservations and other add-ons. Everything was just right! I have used CheapCaribbean.com in the past and I plan to use them in the future as well as recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks again CheapCaribbean.com Sincerely,Ralph S. Sylvia Poe & Jaime Velasco from St. Louis MOTraveled to Riviera Maya Aug 11 to Aug 16 and stayed at Valentin Imperial Maya The entire travel experience with Cheap Caribbean was excellent. Searching the website is easy, I wish under search options in addition to all inclusive you could also choose "adult only" or "family friendly." The prices were great and I am still suprised by how little we paid for the quality vacation we recieved!!! Valentin Imperial was amazing! Beautiful, clean, quiet, relaxing, everything a resort should be. The food was phenominal and the staff was incredible!!! They greeted up with champagne and a cold wash cloth when we got off the shuttle, a perfect touch! We could hardly ask for a better trip. The only glitch a long the way was that when we arrived at the resort they did not have our reservation in the computer. The manager brought out something and said they had just recieved the reservation information a couple of hours before. We had to wait about 30 minutes before this was all worked out, but we did recieve the room upgrade and then the spa credit aswell. Of course we were tired and hungry from travel that day so it was not a good time for a glitch! The staff was very accomodating and apologetic. I am not sure which side the error came from, Cheap Caribbean or Valentin Imperial. The rest of the trip went very smoothly and was just what we needed!!!! Thank you!! We will be booking another trip soon!Sylvia and Jaime

I was planning this trip with a friend. She cancelled on me and I was stuck with a decision to cancel as well, or go alone. I was in the military for years and was use to traveling alone, but not staying on vacation alone. The agent and I talked through the options, shared some personal experiences (he was also in the military and moved across country alone). I made the decision to continue with my trip, and boy, I am glad I did. I had a great time and worry-free travel. Thanks and I look forward to using this site again, and again,. Thank you,Lucretia Ford

Hi,I recently returned from the Intercontinental in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The vacation was amazing and service was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful and our requests were accommodated quickly. The only thing that tainted the vacation was the fact that everyone came home with bed bugs! We (5 total) stayed in 2 different rooms in different floors and all got bed bugs. I had a friend who stayed in the same hotel with a group of 8 girls (also all in different rooms) and came home with bed bug bites! Prior to my trip, I had emailed my travel agent at CheapCaribbean.com since I heard from my friend that this happened to her and I had already booked my vacation. I had requested that the travel agent contact the hotel to let them know about the problem and try to get the situation resolved prior to our arrival.Unfortunately, we all got bed bugs and are still suffering from the effects. (2 weeks later!) Even though I had a good time on vacation, every day since I've been home, I'm reminded of how dirty the hotel must have been! Please let the Intercontinental Hotel know about this situation so that they can resolve this very important hygiene issue. Thanks,Angie Wu

My family of 4 just returned from a beautiful, wonderful 9 day vacation at the Majestic Colonial Punta Cana from August 17 through August 25, 2009. The resort has beautiful grounds and the beach is the best in the area. The pool runs the entire length of the resort and has a swim-up bar and has several little alcoves and jacuzzi areas for a bit of seclusion. We paid for two garden view rooms and ended up with two rooms with gorgeous million dollar views of the ocean! Our room was the fourth room away from the oceanfront. Our daughters' room was a few doors down from ours, also with a beautiful view of the aqua-blue ocean. There were a variety of restaurants at the resort--seafood, steak, caribbean/mexican, French, Japanese, and two buffet areas. All of the food was authentic and of very good quality. The Japanese Tepanyaki at the restaurant Matsuri was the best I ever ate!! The restaurant Taino had a buffet of Dominican cuisine which was very tasty. The buffets had a variety of foods including local and traditional American cuisine. Our room was spacious and beautiful, and our daughters' room was even bigger than ours. In our bathroom, two small lightbulbs were out, which caused only a minor disturbance. In our daughters' room the remote control was not working, but they chose not to call anyone to have it fixed. One important suggestion I have is to make at LEAST two copies of your travel voucher, especially the ground transfers page. One o f the agents at Cheapcaribbean advised me to make copies, and I am extremely thankful that I did, because others weren't so lucky. The ground transfer company, Turinter Tours, was extremely disorganized at the airport. After you arrive at the airport and colllect your luggage, there is a Turinter Tours desk where you surrender your voucher. At least two couples got on the shuttle bus only to be called off the bus because the Turinter agents had already lost their vouchers. These poor tourists had to try to explain that they already gave their only copy of their vouchers to the agents. One woman said she even saw the representative put the paper in the desk drawer. There was mass confusion and our bus was delayed an hour before leaving the airport. The agents spoke English, but there was enough of a language barrier to make the situation uncomfortable for all of us on the shuttle bus. What a way for those poor tourists to start their vacation within minutes of stepping foot in Punta Cana. We took the ATV/dune-buggie tour through Turinter. It was a lot of fun and lasted about 5 hours. After arriving at a ranch you get on your ATV and in follow-the-leader style you drive on dirt roads and paved roads to a beautiful beach for a few minutes of swimming. Then, you go to a fresh-water cave for more swimming. After you arrive back at the ranch you ride horse-back through the grounds. We paid $250 for 4 people through Turinter for this tour (we booked with an agent who was stationed at the Majestic Colonial). While talking to other people on the tour, they paid $160 (also for 4 people) for the exact same tour. Apparantly you can barter for these tours. On the beach, we booked parasailing with the locals for $25 less than the water-sports station at the Majestic. Come to find out, they all know eachother and they all go to the same exact boat for parasailing, so save some money, and book with the representatives on the beach (just beyond the Majestic Elegance). We had a wonderful vacation in paradise, and I miss it already. The weather was hot (about 89 every day), but there was always a nice breeze. Despite Hurricane Bill and Tropical Storm Ana being in the area, we did not have rain from the storms, just higher seas and rougher waves.Thank you for a wonderful time!Claudia Tweedie

Erica SternbergNY Trip: Aug.4-12, 2009 Aruba, Rui PalaceWe went on our honeymoon and booked the trip through Cheap Carribean. We were so incredibly and suprisingly pleased, as we were skeptical to book the entire trip online. Cheap Carribean provided exactly as promised, travel to and from the airport, the exact room with the view we booked and overall an amazing vacation. We would 100% use Cheap Carribean again, and we are telling all of our friends.

Raquel AndresAstoria, New YorkAugust 8-13, 2009Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa I booked a 5-night all inclusive vacation at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa. We had a wonderful time, beautiful resort, but the service could have been better. The resort grounds were well kept, hotel room was very spacious, and lots of activities to do. I highly recommend doing all the non-motorized water sports. Snorkeling was great at the Sunset Cove beach, lots of colorful fish in all sizes! My favorite meal/food was the Jerk Hut. The resort does not advertise this place as a restaurant, as it's literally a hut on the beach. I ran into a guest who told me about it and raved about how good it was. It's a hut that serves Jerk chicken, corn on the cob, and paella. It's DELISH! You can find it past Poiseden's Cove restaurant, near the water activities. It serves from noon until 4pm. The cons...For this resort to be a year old, I was disappointed when going to the pools, the tiles were coming off. Every time I went into a pool, I was picking up tiles. The resort could improve on their service, especially in the restaurants. On two occasions my food took forever to come! At the Pastafarian my entree took over 30 minutes to come, when it arrived it was cold. It took another 15 minutes to bring me a hot plate of food. At the Asian restaurant, we ordered sushi with our appetizers, the sushi never came!

Name: Stephanie & Terence CaldonTravel Dates: Aug. 3-9, 2009Resort: Majestic Colonial, Punta Cana, DR "This is THE BEST vacation ever", was commonly uttered during our stay at the Majestic Colonial. My husband and I have stayed at 2 other resorts (in 2 different countries) and this was, by far, the best. It was also the longest, cheapest and nicest. The room was absolutely beautiful. The entire resort was clean. The staff was friendly. The food was a nice variety and tasty. The pool was huge which gave us privacy. The beach was breathtaking. The only problem we encountered were the mini-blackouts. It caused us to be without air conditioning for the last 3 days of our trip. During the day it did not affect us as much because we were at the pool &/or beach. However, at nighttime it was very uncomfortable. It's a good thing we had a large tub to fill with cold water. Overall, I loved this trip. I would recommend this resort to couples and families.

Marc Vogel, Dumont, New Jersey, August 7 - 12, Gran Bahia Principe Akumal The trip was good overall. The flight was good. The airport transport back to the airport was good, and so was the stay at the resort. However, the bellboy broke our luggage and the airport transport from the airport to the resort took over three hours. Sincerely, Marc Vogel

This vacation was absolutely wonderful. The beaches and weather was beautiful, the food and entertainment was excellent. Sekou CampbellBronx, NY 8/9-8/11Sun Village Resorts & BungalowsThe resort was average in every way. The food, pools, and entertainment were all tame and not very Dominican. The concierge and front desk service is subpar but the rooms are beautiful. The front desk manager attempted to downgrade our "Superior" room after making us wait an hour after check in. If we had brought our children it would have been a little better, but still did not capture the energy of the island outside the walls of the resort. That said, every tourist should take the 27 Charcos tour on Rio Damajagua in Imbert, Puerto Plata (about 15 minutes south of the resort). I have not seen a natural wonder quite as gorgeous as Rio Damajagua.

Enjoyed my trip to Jamaica very much. Would recommend Cheap Caribbean w/o a problem. Liked the hotel. Food and drinks were good. If I made a couple of suggestions it would be that the hotel do a better job of posting activities. They don't update the board very often and only make announcements from one swimming pool. Also, they only way to get reservations at the select restaurants is to stand in line each morning at 8.Julia Haughton-Baldridge

Sharon SchubertTeaneck, NJUSASeptember 6-11Valentin Imperial Maya I went with my family to the Valentin Imperial Maya in Mexico from August 6-11 and had a fabulous vacation. We had rented a car and ended up so happy at the resort that we never stepped foot off the grounds during the entire time we were there. First of all, the beach was spectacular. Beautiful, silky white sand and an ocean filled with waves (but very gentle waves) that you could ride, jump, dive in, etc. The water was clear blue and just warm enough to be able to go in easily but cool enough to be extremely refreshing. I literally spent 5 days in the water, coming out for a break every so often to read, eat or nap on the beach. In addition, the food was quite good. There were 2 main restaurants for breakfast and lunch and several choices for dinner. Breakfast and lunch were outstanding. Dinner food wore thin after awhile even with all the choices but I must say that at all meals the waiters and maitre d's were extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. Finally, the resort itself is extremely attractive. The grounds were impeccably cared for, the walkways always clean and inviting (soft and soothing music was piped in wherever you walked) and the rooms were fabulous. Cheapcaribbean included an upgrade so we had a fabulous room with a jacuzzi, marble (or was it granite?) shower and floors, soft drink-stocked refrigerator, and wonderful maid service. I felt that we got a wonderful deal on a very lovely and high class hotel.

I experienced a Bahamas vacation like no other starting July 16, 2009. My sister and I spent 8 wonderful days at the Hilton British Colonial in Nassau. It is a striking hotel with a huge spiraling staircase as it's focal point. The hotel is strategically placed right in the center of town. We had access to everything. The straw market with all of the wonderful bargains was less than a five minute walk away and the streets surrounding the hotel were lined with exclusive shops where you could get designer watches, one of a kind jewelry and name brand perfumes at a fraction of the cost we pay in the U.S. Directly behind the hotel is where all the cruise ships park. As a frequent traveler I've experienced many cruises, but it was still awesome to look out my hotel room window at the magnificence of several great ships. On the second day of our vacation we were able to experience the Junkanoo Festival, a Mardi Gras style parade showcasing the talents of the islanders. This parade was held in a location that was five minutes walking distance from the hotel. A local grocery store is around the corner if you'd like to buy a few things and there is a eatery across the street from the hotel that served a mouth-watering grouper platter for less than $8 dollars. The hotel rooms were newly furnished with beautiful mahogany furniture and bright, colorful linens. The room was equipped with a flat screen TV and a refrigerator and was quaint and inviting. The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and catered to our comfort. I felt like we were extended family due to all the hospitality that was shown. There is a marvelous restaurant on site called the Ponciana Grill and the chef is outstanding. I'm a Louisiana girl and the dishes could rival any of the wonderfully seasoned dishes I grew up on. The outside grill offers more casual dining with a beautiful veranda to eat on as you look out at the ocean and cruise ships. The grounds were immaculate and LUSH, LUSH, LUSH!!!! What beauty to swing in a hammock surrounded by a tropical oasis. All the greenery and color was spectaculor and I have pictures worthy of a postcard just walking through the ground.I've been to the Bahamas ten or more times and can honestly say that this was the best value I've ever received for the accommodations, location and value. I'm already planning another visit within the next six months and will definitely book through CheapCaribbean.com. There were No hidden fees, transportation to and from the hotel was prompt and travel to and from the island was uneventful. You guys did a super job!!! Hello,My name is Roseann Caruso from Piscataway, NJ. We went to Puerto Rico from 8/7- 8/11 and stayed at the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a nice gentleman at the front desk. I asked him if we could upgrade and he proceeded to give me the costs for each upgrade. I told him the prices were too much so he upgraded us for free! Then he told us we were getting $100 from the promotion that we bought on Cheapcaribbean, so we were super excited. We loved the hotel, it was beautiful. Some of the things we did not like were the cost of the food at the hotel, very expensive and not tasty at all. Also, there are no activities at this resort, no volleyball, no dancing, nothing. Yes we wanted a peaceful environment, but we expected some activities to do during the day. The hotel staff was wonderful and friendly and the hotel was very clean. Beautiful place.Thank you

First off, I would like to say that the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa in Jamaica was a very beautiful resort. Great views, nice accommodations and most of all, a friendly staff. I was a bit surprised to see amount of reconstruction going on at the resort; as it was not communicated during the booking process. Even with the construction, the workers stayed to themselves, did their job and left without hardly being noticed. I can honestly say that there were no inconveniences due to construction. Maybe the construction explains the great package deal I received when booking. Airport transfers were on time and commuted us back and forth to the Montego Bay airport in a safe friendly manner. The food at the hotel was good, but I expected better due to the naked appearance of the resort. No complaints, just had my expectations set high. Overall, I was pleased with my vacation package and I would definitely book again through Cheap Caribbean. We had a great time in Aruba!! It is so beautiful there and we enjoyed meeting the people who live there. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree, they had the best seafood restaurant and I never eat seafood so I was so impressed!! The one thing I did not like was the getting up EARLY to reserve a hut and restaurant reservations and standing in long lines to get these two items. I think they need to get a better system so everyone would be happier on vacation. Thanks Brenda Fallen

Shana Grow, Des Moines, IA and we traveled to Runaway Bay Jamaica and stayed at Club Ambiance. Travel dates were Aug 6-Aug 10. It was a wonderful trip and we really enjoyed the staff at club ambiance. They were always very helpful and always willing to stop and talk and made us feel at home. We felt safe and not bothered at our resort and always looked forward to coming back from an excursion to just relax at club ambiance. We would stay there time and time again when we get the chance to in the future. ThanksShana Grow

You guys did a great job setting everything up for me. The Mariott Frenchman's Reef in St Thomas was awesome. I considered the Wyndam Sugar Bay resort but after visiting it while I was there I noticed the Wyndam was out in the middle of nowhere in a run down area of St Thomas. Thanks to the guidance of your knowledgeable staff who directed us based on our needs our vacation was truly a wonderful experience.ThanksJim & Mary

My name is Natalie Allen from Hampton, NH. I had the good fortune to travel with my 11 year old daughter and my sister-in-law to the Riviera Maya from August 4th to the 10th. We stayed at the Viva Wyndham Maya where to our surprise we were treated as preferred guests and litteraly got the royal treatment. We received many more services such as late check-out, room upgrade, minibar, preferred seating in the dining rooms as well as the use of the sister resort Viva Azteca. We e-mailed the Cancun destination manager Toni prior to our departure for some tips. She got back to us in a timely manner and was gracious to share much useful information. This was extremely reassuring after having read much negative feedback about the destination after booking it. We had an A+ experience and can't believe that all these other unhappy travelers were at the same destination! Either they had unrealistic expectations like paying for a 3 star resort and expecting 5 star accommodations, or they simply travelled with their eyes, ears and hearts closed. We were greeted with enthusiasm and a warm "Welcome to Mexico" at the airport. We also booked transportation through CheapCaribbean and that worked out well getting to our hotel. The reps went above and beyond. The room was spacious and very clean. Housekeeping made these adorable animals out of the towels each day and arranged my daughters stuffed animals around the room. Each and every day we looked forward to getting back to our room after a fun-filled day in the sun to see the surprises. All the staff was very friendly, the food EXCELLENT and extremely varied, and the nightly entertainment amusing. We spent time learning the trapeze, kayaked, took daily Spanish, dance and cooking classes, took advantage of the clean pool (and yes, the swim-up bar), enjoyed the gorgeous beach and very swimable ocean....Needless to say we would highly recommend this destination and resort. We would definitely consider travelling there again in the future. Keep up the good work and competitive pricing!

I love Cheap Caribbean! Prices are UNMATCHED. Service is AMAZING!! Web site is BY FAR the most user friendly of ANY travel site I have ever used. My singing your praises has already led to two of my firends booking trips with you this summer. All the best! Mark Lambrecht

My trip to THE ROYAL in CANCUN, on August 3-August 9th, 2009. Matthew ChioccaRichmond, VirginiaAn old friend and I went to the Royal Cancun last week, and I am so depressed to be back home! It is not easy readjusting to the real world, where you aren't waited on hand and foot, and everything, and I mean everything, is included in the price.I have noticed a few so-so reviews pop up every now and then about the Royal (usually related to the timeshare people). Well, we were never approached, and I cannot possibly pathom how anyone could complain about anything at this impecabble place. I am writing this review because I feel so strongly about the employees there, the service, and the overall experience. To sum it up, NO detail is left out. When we arrived, we were taken to our sixth floor concierge (royal ocean view- that's all you need, no ocean front).. and given champagne and cold towels. The bell hops brought up our luggage after the conceirge showed us to our room. The rooms our absolutely breathtaking... the deep mahogony, red fabrics, and a shower to DIE FOR!!!!! I have never been in one were there are seven jets that massage your entire body... When we arrived in the room there was a beautiful fruit basket and a bottle of red wine.. keep in mind, this is our first trip to the Royal, and we did not request this... and we were not celebrating anything.. they just did it! Amazing. Immediately after arrival, the mini-bar person stopped by to ask if we needed anything... he wanted to make sure we had enough of exactly what we wanted. The resort is wonderful and special, and you will not be disappointed at all.

I booked a trip to Barcelo La Jolla De Mismaloya for July 2 - July 6. I was very impressed with the resort and the staff. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The only glitch we had was that this was an Election weekend in Mexico and alcoholic beverages cannot be served for 48 hours. The Regional Director of Tourism made an exception for all of the resorts and everyone was back to being happy within a short time.

Thank you for the experience of visiting the Bahamas at a reasonable rate. The hotel RIU was great. The staff were courteous, The decor was pleasing to the eye, the beaches were manicured each morning,(Swept by machinery). The waters of the Caribbean sea was inviting. The food including fruits and pastries were plenty, served at four internal restaurants, with various international flavors and style. The rooms were comfortable, but the wall were a bit thing as far as adjoining rooms were concerned. Lastly, those who like to eat outdoors, look out for the seagulls. I understand the hotel will be enacting some renovations in the near future and will be closing for three months. A lost to many would- be visitors. Edwin N. Toppin

Name: Sarah Patterson Waterford, CT 06385Traveled to the Lady Hamilton (Jamaica) from 7/31/09 to 8/7/09 The resort was beautiful. Staff was very nice and helpful. Tiles are breaking off from the pools, so be careful where you step. Infinity bar was a great place to end the night. They always had a great band, and friendly bartenders. The Jamaican Jerk shack is a great place for lunch. Food is awsome there. Would love to go back!!!

I could not have asked for better service, finer accomodations, and tastier food. I was so delighted by how helpful and kind the employees were at the resort. I will definitely be using Cheap Caribbean again for my next relaxing getaway. Many thanks for providing me with a wonderful, relaxing holiday.Mollie Bame

We traveled to Puerto Rico with our 5 month old daughter and stayed at the Wyndham. Our flights was the quickest available and over 40% less than booking through the airline websites. The Wyndham was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were immaculate and the location right on the beach was convenient for water activities. The food was amazing and out favorite was the Sunday brunch buffet. We will definitely go back as soon as we can! L. Leona Frank, Attorney at Law

Name: Kathryn McKie & Doug Zimmermann, Alpharetta, GAVacation: San Juan, Puerto Rico, August 4-8, Stellaris MarriottWe went to Puerto Rico with our 5 year old daughter & had an incredible time. The hotel was absolutely fabulous. We have both been to numerous resorts around the Caribbean, and we felt this one definitely stands out as one of the nicest resorts we've stayed at. The staff was so friendly and helpful with any little thing that we needed. We only paid for a 'city view' room but were given a room with a pool & ocean view for no extra charge. The view was amazing! The hotel was busy but no so much that it ever felt that any areas were over-crowded. We were thrilled to go to the beach the first day to find out that getting lounge chairs and an umbrella every day at the beach were included with our package. You can end up paying around $50/day at a lot of beaches in order to rent those, so that was a great bonus. We also liked that they provided beach & pool towels at the pool and were not stingy about how many each guest can take. We hate going to a resort where you have to wear a wristband in order to get a towel or only one is allowed per person- that is just annoying. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly. Really everyone we encountered in Puerto Rico was friendly and cheerful. It is clear that they rely on tourism to support their economy and that they have been affected by the recent downturn in the American economy, but we felt that they were doing the best they possibly could do at trying to make the tourists as comfortable and content as possible. We noticed that street vendors (selling ice cream on the beach, flowers & candy on the street, etc.) seemed to be a lot less aggressive than at other islands we've been to. It can be quite disturbing, and even intimidating, when vendors get right in your face and relentlessly push whatever they are selling, so we were glad to see that although there were a lot of locals out pushing their products to tourists, they were not overly-aggressive about it. There were very few negatives about our trip. We didn't really eat at the hotel because we looked at the menus and felt the food was a little pricey, but there were plenty of nearby affordable places to dine- Subway, Wendy's, a sandwich shop across the street, and many other local places with affordable choices. Another small issue with the hotel was that we would have probably preferred to be closer to downtown San Juan. We could take a taxi or bus there, but it would have been nice to have been able to walk there. Overall the trip was a great experience, and the price was less than we probably would have spent driving to Florida and staying at a condo. We have used Cheap Caribbean to book many trips and have never been disappointed, and we will certainly use them again in the future. Thanks,Kathryn McKie

grand palladuim hotel was great. Some maintence issues, but great food, service, and room. The hotel is at 50 percent capacity and that made service unbeleiveable. 5 star hotel for a unbelievable price. Second year we went.Down side was tropical tour desk which we were refered to. The transfers from the airport were late and inconsistant. We almost had to grab a cab after we had paid for transfers. Tour desk wasnt really much help. We already knew what we wanted to do, but the desk pushed us toward items we didnt really want. Tour to inland of Jamacia was really long. Drive wasnt worth the sights. We were directed to a great water part at YS falls, but were only given a hour to enjoy it. Then the lunch trips push you into a real dump of a restrant. We had a 5 star hotel, but 2 star tours. Tour companies keep allowing the buses to stop at small village restraunts were you are traped to eat or shop. Very disappointed with tour desk, should have stayed at hotel and never left.

We stayed at Sun Village Cofresi outside of Puerto Plata, Domincan Republic. We had a great time here. The grounds were well kept and we received excellent service from all of the staff. We had no problems with our room (AC was confusing at first) and check in/out was a breeze. The only thing about the place is that the food and nightlife are not all that impressive. We rented a car and drove down towards Sosua Beach and Cabarete which was a lot of fun. Going up to the top of the mountain (Mount Isabella?) was also fun but we drove instead of taking the cable car. I wanted to take the cable car. I also highly recommend doing the Catamaran (w/ Banana Republic) and the 27 waterfall tour (not exactly 27 waterfalls but very fun regardless). Would be interested in going back. Our stay at Grand Oasis Cancun was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and tended to all our needs as they arose. We stayed in Phase II with an ocean front view which was breathtaking. Part of the beach had rocks but did not create aproblem, because a few yards down the beach had no rocks. The water was beautifully indescribable. We ate at a different restaraunt every night and enjoyed each meal and service was fantastic. I don't know who thesepeople are that complained about food and service, but they must be spoiled brats who need to stay home and cook their own food. Drinks were very enjoyable, the bartenders made you feel welcome and were very entertaining, the whole place was kept in emaculate shape. I would definitley go again and use cheapcaribbean.com over and over. yours truely Vincent Bradford

Emily & Rickey WagnerJuly 31 - August 4Riu Santa Fe, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico OK, I'll try to keep this short and sweet :)Booking with Cheap Caribbean was simple and they definitely had the BEST price around . . . I'm a search-engine junky, so I know!!Left DFW on American Airlines at 7:20pm (flight delayed 35min). Arrived in Cabo at 11pm on a Friday evening with my husband. Was at the Riu Santa Fe by 12am (courtesy of cabosanlucastours.com), no problems. Excellent staff through the ENTIRE trip . . . everyone was super nice, and EVERYONE said 'hola' or 'buenos dias', etc., each time you passed.Rooms were immaculate, stayed in the garden-view rooms, room 3209. It was VERY near the awesome 'internal' pool, and only a short walk to the beach 'infinity' pool. Buffets were typical buffets . . . something that everyone could like, even found a few things I LOVED! It is true, coffee from the automatic machines IS better than the pots of coffee they bring to your table :) Drinks were great, some too strong, some too weak, but just find a bartender that you like and stick with him/her! Our friends (3 other couples) arrived our 2nd day at the Santa Fe and we had a BLAST, just hanging out at the infinity pool, bar, and jumping waves on the beach! The beach is beautiful, one of the prettiest and cleanest I've ever been to . . . but they ARE serious when they say you can die in the waves/undertow. My husband and 3 guy-friends tried the wave-jumping, and got pulled under mutliple times . . . luckily, they are good swimmers! Once you pass the ledge where the waves break, it's OK . . . but better have a floatie if you can't swim! The girls and I just stood back up the beach a bit and let the waves wash up to our knees, and we were even pulled down multiple times and ate a LOT of sand! Was still fun, for adults who are paying attention to what we were doing . . . would NEVER recommend this beach for children or drunk adults :)Infinity pool was awesome, best pool view I've ever been to . . . we didn't really do anything else on our trip, except go into Cabo one night for dinner (a little too pricey for food that tasted just like the buffet) and to visit Cabo Wabo and The Giggling Marlin . . . had a lot of fun there!Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to families, couples, groups, anyone!

Mark LarsenDale, IL 60191Travel Dates: 06/19/09 - 06/26/09Resort Name: Sun Village Resort and Spa Hello Cheap Caribbean.com I just wanted to write a review for you for the wonderful time me and my partner had on vacation. We went to Puerto Plata in the Domincan Republic. Let me just say the vacation started off perfectly with the representative promptly waiting for us outside the airport. The ride was a little long from the airport to hotel but I didn't realized I chose the airport that was farther away. The hotel, Sun Village Resort and Spa was AMAZING!! The rooms were amazingly clean and spacious, the balcony was fantastic for chilling late night. There was a lot of walking but, once you walk around the first couple days you pretty much decide on your chill spot for the remainder of the vacation. Many bars to choose from and many drinks. Of course, since its somewhere exotic the drinks were not the best, quantity per drink nor quality. But, they get the job done eventually. The staff was really nice at the hotel as well as the representative for the excursions. The views at this place were just amazing too! And the food was great. The buffet is where we ate at the most and I thought their selection was great. Not only were there many choices but the quality over did my expectations. overall, on a scale from 1-10 I would definitely give the entire trip a 9. Thanks CheapCaribbean and I look forward to doing business with you again! Mark Larsen

want to start off addressing those individuals who have read the negative reviews and felt the apprehension after booking a vacation to the Sun Village Resort and Spa. Nothing is as it seems! This applies in many cases. My husband and I vacationed at this resort and had the most incredible time. The service and staff were top notch, the food was good, and the facility itself was nicely kept. The resort hosts 4 restaurants and I would recommend experiencing the food as well as the great service that each provide. The Love Wrecked beach bar and the Aqua Lounge were fun places to visit in the evenings. Lisandro is an individual that you want to look up when visiting. He tends the Love Wrecked Bar and is incredibly customer service oriented. Phenominal gentleman. There are many steps throughout the resort as noted in other reviews, but not too awful. It was actually a bit welcoming...especially after a very filling meal!! There are golf carts available to transport those who need asssitance or who would prefer easier access to different locations within the facility. There is a variety of comments floating around through the various vacation service sites, but if you are looking for the perfect spot, the Sun Village Resort is it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to visit regardless of your intended vacation agenda. This place provides numerous options that are sure to please all!The only problem I had was leaving. :-) For those of you planning a visit to this resort, relax and enjoy all that it has to offer. Have a great vacation. I hope to go again in the near future.Terry from Virginia

Newton MeloRego Park, NY7/30/2009-8/4/2009I must say that we enjoyed ourselves at the hotel the check in was quick and they upgraded our room to a spa view which I couldn't complain about. The buffet had delicious food at all times. I wasn't too crazy about the drinks I felt like they used cheap liquor the only liquor that I must was good was the Dominican rum or as they called it the "Dominican Viagra". We had plenty of pools to choose from to hang out our stay was very welcoming. I just wish that they didn't have so many stairs. I would go again and recommend it to my friends and family.

The Hotel was as it always has been! The Room was more than adequate and the Food was fantastic. The Pools were inviting and with the ability to have a cool drink while enjoying the sun makes for a great vacation. We did not leave the grounds during the 8 days we were there. We came to rest and relax and that is just what we did. We will be doing again and there is no better place to go than this.Roy Mulholland

Thank you CheapCaribbean Jim and your professional staff!! What a great vacation!! My name is Mary Paul-DeSuza, I live in the Bronx, NY. I travelled to St. Kitts on July 22, 2009 and returned to New York on August 2, 2009. The flight was great. My husband and I enjoyed an all inclusive stay at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel. We were greeted at the hotel with fruit/rum punch as the day was very hot. We were then checked in with a room upgrade because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were encouraged to have lunch as the dining room was about to close, this was a very thoughtful gesture by the receptionist, she then had our luggage taken to the room. We were about five minutes walk to the beach, we were then able to walk across to the beach and frolic in the water, which helped us beat the heat and start enjoying the beautiful turquoise water. I must say that the food at Royal St.Kitts Hotel was delicious, it was not too salt or over seasoned, it was tasty and delicious. There was not much of a variety, but it did not matter much as the taste was perfect, and guests were minimal. The staff was quite accommodating and made the guests feel like family. my only disappointment for me was the gym which was under renovations. To help us to further celebrate our anniversary, we were given a special fruit platter, this was a very emotional moment as we did not anticipate anything like this, but we really appreciated this and thanked the staff for this special recognition. This was an awesome experience for us. I will highly recommend CheapCaribbean to my friends and families and, of course, I will book with CheckCaribbean again and again. Thank You Jim! Name: Ellen GasparovicPittsburgh, PA 15205Travel Dates: August 2, 2009- August 8, 2009Resort: Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort in St Thomas, USVIMy family and I just returned from the beautiful Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort in St. Thomas. The resort is absolutely gorgeous, and very well kept. There are 3 interconnecting pools, and a private beach. The beach is quite small though, and a bit rocky. However, it is also quiet and secluded. The resort grounds are immaculate, and there is a walking trail that will take you right past the iguana feeding station. I would recommend upgrading rooms to "ocean-view". I had chosen "resort view", but my only view was of the building directly across from us, so I ended up paying for the upgrade at the resort, and my view was definitely worth the extra daily fee. Additionally, I would say it is worth it, to pay for "all-inclusive", as the prices of food and drinks at any of the resorts restaurants are Very expensive. All in all, the Wyndham Sugar bay resort is a beautiful resort, and with adding a few extras, any family can have a fantastic vacation to the US Virgin Islands.

The trip was planned for our daughter and her new husband for their honeymoon. Everything went well at the airport with no probems. When they got to Cancun their transportation was waiting and took them to the resort where they found many problems with their room. They were told that if they wanted an air conditioner that worked or a TV that worked or more towels in their bathroom they would have to pay extra for a better room. Our daughter sent us a text mess very upset. I then contacted Cheap Caribbean on their 800 number and spoke to an operator named Matt. After being on the phone for over 45 min Matt saved he day. What an amazing thing he did by taking over and contacting the hotel management and requesting another room for the honeymoon. Our Daughter and her new husband were taken to another room where they spent the rest of their trip.Thank you Matt for saving the day and for a perfect honeymoon.Robin Moore

A group of 15 mothers and sons stayed at the Iberostar Dominicana for 4 nights at the end of July. A gift for our high school graduates. The place is beautiful, clean and the help is so friendly, they gave our boys the time of their lives. This is definitely the place to bring teenagers, with the games, the casino, the nightclub and the infinite buffets. The food is not gourmet, but you can always find something to eat. We only ate at one specialty restuarant (Mexican) and it was ok, nothing great. But we drank the water, ate the salad bar and not one of us got sick. The beach was unbelievably beautiful with plenty of sun huts available. You don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve one like at other resorts. We all have rooms in the villas, not the hotel and they were beautiful and clean (a few ants). The only complaint was that the rooms were definitely not air conditioned enough. Everything down there is open air and if you are on the beach, no problem, but our rooms were quite a distance from the beach, and they could definitely have been cooler. We did complain, but nothing was done. On the second to last day of our stay, my son went back to his room only to discover that his very expensive cell phone and charger had been stolen. Also his wallet was searched and all his cash stolen. When we told management, they told him he should have put all his valuables in the safe provided and they could do nothing for him. It definitely put a damper on the vacation as now we knew we couldn't trust housekeeping. So if you go here, LOCK UP EVERYTHING WHEN YOU LEAVE THE ROOM.Overall, a beautiful place. Definitely worth the money and if you don't have a good time here, I don't think you could have a good time anywhere. Nancy T.

We visited Iberostar Cozumel this past July with our two kids and had a great time. The transfers to and from the airport were easy. The resort is wonderful and we all enjoyed the animals throughout the grounds. The food was okay. The Mexican restaurant was spectacular. The only thing we would change was renting a jeep for the week instead of doing airport transfers. The resort is far from town and other excursions. If you plan on going anywhere else you will save money in cabs by just paying for a jeep for the week. The beaches on the other side of the island are better and worth the drive over. Spectacular time.

Just returned from the RIU Jamaica Resort. Representives of CheapCaribbean were very helpful throughout our vacation. I like dealing with CheapCaribbean. The resort was very nice. The room was nice and clean and the resort gounds were very well kept. However, I would not stay there again. The food was sub-par and was the same menu everyday. You would think that with such a limited number of items, that they could get it right. We were really disappointed with the food. This is a very large resort with hundreds of guests but the beach area was very limited for that many people and was so crowded that I only went into the water one time. The pool was also very crowded. Also, for such a large resort, there was hardly any bars or places for adult drinks. Overall, I was disappointed with my stay. The beach area was full sun with very, very limited cabanas or other shade areas.

I just want to say my husband and I had a great and wonderful trip at NH real arena. We enjoyed the beach, the restaurants ( Asian, Italian, specially the French restaurant). The grounds are very very beautiful. I felt like I was in Paradise (almost). We enjoyed going to Santo domingo and going to the country side. I strongly recommend NH real arena.

Hello, Thank you so much for giving us such a fantastic vacation. We stayed for 8 days at the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a butler with ice towels to keep us cool and a glass of there famous drink, The Majestic. We upgraded our room to the first floor and were extremely pleased. We had an end unit right next to the bridge that crossed over the pool. Every day, we would hear someone saying (WOW! that is the room to have) and we couldn't have agreed more. Outside of our room was a covered patio and two outside beds for relaxing. And right off the edge of the bed, we could jump right into the pool. The staff was very friendly, and we loved our housekeeper. She made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was stunning. Loved the shower with all the jets coming out of the walls. It was like staying in a palace. Champagne was waiting for us along with fresh fruit upon our arrival. All of the resturants were excellent. All of the food was great and the entertainment was wonderful. We are extremely satisfied with our stay at the Majestic Elegance. Thank you CheapCaribbean for giving us such a wonderful vacation. We look forward to booking again in the very near future. Mary

Kirsten BabichWest Hartford, CT7/25/2009-8/2/2009BlueBay Grand EsmeraldaPlaya Del Carmen, MexicoMy boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience booking our vacation through CheapCaribbean.com. The process was so simple and easy. Not only did we get a fantastic price on our trip, but we loved our resort. As a first time international traveler, I found the staff at CheapCaribbean.com to be extremely helpful. Right after booking, I received emails periodically that walked me through the steps of getting my passport and reminding me of other important things to do prior to the trip. We had a picture perfect vacation and will absolutely be using CheapCaribbean.com to book all of our trips in the future! Thanks for all of your help!

July 30, 2009 August 3, 2009 NH Real Arena My husband, I and another couple went to NH Real Arena. I had been reading all of the blogs about the resort and was a little bit nervous as to how everything would be. Well let me assure all the nervous people out there. The place was beautiful, the room was clean and kept clean. The food was great. We dined at the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant. They were both very good. All of the staff was nothing but polite and always in a good mood. We would have enjoyed a few more activities at the pool during the daytime hours but the pools were clean and beautiful. The beach was always clean and kept nicely. There were always lounge chairs available at the pool and at the beach. The outdoor poolside dining area was great. A nice breeze in the air while enjoying the beautiful blue water. We did do some sunfish sailing, two days in a row(fun!). The nightlife was always entertaining. The shows were very good. The casino was fun and the bowling alley bar had great popcorn and a wonderful bartender. The grounds were also very pretty. We did not go to the night club though, so I couldnt really tell you about that. We didnt see a mosquito or have a worry on the vacation. It was a wonderful, family orientated resort. I would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend this resort. We loved DR! Debbie HennYorktown, NY

My husband I stayed at the Paradise Island Harbor in Nassau, Bahamas from 8/15-8/19 and was quite surprised by what we found upon arrival. Even with reading the reviews and seeing the hotel rating of 3 stars out of 5. The hotel is a little out-dated and is definitely in need of a major upgrade. When we entered out room I found it to be clean, bathroom well stocked, coffee pot, safe and refrigerator was a plus to me. However, when I into the bathroom I noticed that there was some rust around the door and the shower facet was a slightly detached from the wall. What really made up for some of my dislikes was that the food was decent from the restaurant, buffet and the pool bar. The drinks were not watered down, pool was pretty nice and was constantly being cleaned. If you are the type of person that can make of the best out of what you get then it will be an okay place to stay and eat, drink and just relax. The best thing about the location of this resort that is was like 10-15 minute walk to Atlantis or a short cab ride. From Atlantis you can take the water taxi for $4 per person over the Straw Market. Do not purchase any souvenirs at the resort. They are twice the price! Hubby and I went on a Time-Share Tour and received $118.00 in Bahamas money after saying NO to the sales pitch and used it at the Straw-Market to purchase souvenirs and to catch the Water-Taxi which dropped us off at Atlantis. The boat was not fancy but was a nice little ride across the island and to get a quick view of some of the stars who have homes there. If you want to go to the Aquarium at Atlantis go at night! We were able to walk through for FREE and was really nice. Would I stay at the Paradise Island Harbor again, probably will since I know they will be renovating.

Hi I would like to submit the following review of my trip to La Romana in the Dominican Republic between the dates of August 6, 2009 through August 11, 2009. The Booking ID is listed above.Travel was arranged using JetBlue as a carrier which worked out beautifully in terms of time of take off and time of arrival both going to the Dominican Republic and returning to NY's JFK.We were picked up from the Santo Domingo airport by a Van arranged through Turintour a Domican Republic Tour operator. The trip to La Romana which normally might take between 1 and 1/2 hours to 2 hours took appproximately 3 1/2 hours for those travelling all the way out to La Romana as opposed to those getting off at earlier resort areas suchs as Casa de Campo. That aspect of the trip was annoying in that the length of the ride from Santo Domingo to La Romana might have been avoided if a flight could have been arranged to La Romana's own small airport. I am not sure that there are any air carriers that travel directly to La Romana but its worth the unquiry. At La Romana I stayed at the Wyndham Domenecus Beach. It is a lovely 3 1/2 a star hotel but it appears far less elegant than the 4 star Dreams resort about twenty minutes closer to the Santo Domingo Airport. It would be worth the extra money to stay at the Dreams resort. The staff at the Wyndham were wonderful very friendly but I was surprised by the lack of bi-linguilism of the staff. Practicing your high school Spanish might be worthwhile for those with limited Spanish language skills. There is a lot to do at the Wyndham in terms of volley ball on the beach, swimming, arranging for sailing lessons and the like but again I believe some of the four star resorts have a larger, less congested beach area, more pools and better over all "bang for the buck."I would definitely do it again and Cheap Carribean.com is definitely the way to go !oops, I should have mentioned the Wyndham is very much a family friendly resort where kids as well as couples will feel most welcome.Brian B.

I stayed at the Capella 5 nights out of 8 on a business trip. It was my hub for business travels on the island. I've stayed at the Barcello Dominican Beach in Punta Cana, and Costa Caribe in Juan Dolio. The Barcello Capella is half a mile from the Costa Caribe. The resort is probably the least profitable in the chain...Juan Dolio is somehow the stepchild of the island. They no longer keep up the botanical garden theme, in which they identify many species of plants there. So the landscaping was not quite up to their standards, but is still head and shoulders above their competition. The layout is excellent, functional, and beautiful. Three peacocks wander around one of the hotel buildings and the main lobby, as if they are guests. Four pink flamingos hang out in their spot in the pool by the reception area. The food was ok, not great. The service was ok, not great. It is just an unpretentious place to stay, with lovely grounds, and a very nice strip of beach. Unlike some of the new resorts, this has a wide piece of beach, and has many mature palm trees between the water and the first hotel buildings, so if you need to stay out of the sun, you can and still be near the water. I got to know the people at the front desk during the week, and they are very pleasant. I would rate this property in between the near by Costa Caribe, and the Barcello Dominican Beach in Punta Cana. The staff at the Costa Caribe is very friendly, but their facility pales in comparison to the Capella, and the prices are about the same. The roads on the island are bad, so you want to stay near an airport, and taxi when needed instead of renting a car. When I fly out of Santo Domingo, I will visit this wonderful place again. When I go to Punta Cana, I will probably stay at the Barcello Dominican Beach. I stayed there and at the Occidental Flamingo in May, and found the Barcello staff to be more friendly and helpful, as the Barcello landscaping to be much more lavish and attractive. If you stay at the Dominican beach, a modest upgrade will get you a fruit plate every day at 5:00pm, free internet at the internet center (which has two cables for laptops), and a few 15% discounts such as the spa and water sports. The room for that upgrade is wonderful, and has a very nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Rick WeissBoise, Idaho

I have to say this was the best vacation i've had in many years. I enjoyed my vacation purchase through cheapcarribean.com. The booking experience was some what tedious however as we wanted a 7 night but had to settle for 5 days instead. My husband and I vacationed @ The Grand Lido Braco. The resort is a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful place w/many activities on the grounds as well as off. For those who want to relax and do nothing, this is the ideal place to be. The staff was AWESOME, they were all very attentive, courteous and friendly. They all appear to enjoy their job and interacting w/the guests. This was the first time we've been on vacation and felt like we were on vacation. We were catered to by every staff members that we encointered. Every need that was anticipated was taken care of especially during our meals. The only draw back to this resort is that it is older and needs remodeling. I am definitely returning next year to this resort.

Sue and Geoff Dunne Victoria Australia Hi we originaaly purchased a holiday from you off the internet. We were to stay at one of the resorts in Santo Domingo. After many talks with my husband and reading up on reviews we were becoming quite unsure of the whole holiday.I rang one of your consultants and we decided to change our hotels.we now were going to Oasis Hamaca in BOCA CHICA from july 06 until july13 .As we are from Australia there is no feed-back from Aussie travelers so we had no idea what to expect. Some of the reviews were quite negative.Well we arrived on Monday the 6th and were pleasantly surprised. What a beautiful resort! The staff were wonderful (as we only speak English language was sometimes a problem) Perhaps it was the little tips that we left every day for the waiters, room maids, bar staff at the pool or in the lobby. We did notice that nobody ever left or gave tips to any of the staff.(In Australia these people would be called tight asses) The beach was absolutely amazing, sunlounges wherever you wanted to sit, clean towels when ever you wanted.I often wonder why some people write these horrible reviews perhaps they just need to get a life. The food was plentiful and presented amazingly even though a lot of it was not what we are used to ,ONE FOR THE CRITICS the food inspector was actually at the resort one of the nights that we were having dinner checking that all food was at right temperatures. What more could you ask for? Security was great even though we would advise visitors not to leave resort .This would have to be the most relaxing holiday that I have had due to not leaving resort. I think the only negative part of our trip was a tour we did of Santo Damingo. The tour part was great but our guide dropped us off at a shop in town and told us to buy from there as he was a genuine person. After purchasing cigars(120US) and paintings for (130us) these were available at the resort the next night for a quarter of the price.I dont mind being ripped off a little bit but we trusted the guide and he took our trust and used it. Overall a great time was had. THANKS AND CHEERS

Kathi Norstein, St. Petersburg, FL vacationed from 8/7-8/14/09 with husband and another couple at Excellence Playa Mujeres. Amazing, Relaxing, Pampered are just a few words to describe our recent stay at this Excellence resort. On arrival we were presented with a cool facecloth to wipe our faces and hands, presented a glass of champagne and greeted with "Welcome Home". As we walked in people leaving for home told us they envied us just arriving. The grand lobby with its beautiful furnishings, shiny marble were nothing compared to the gorgeous rooms. Whomever came up with the idea to eliminate a wall between the sleeping area and the bathroom was a genius. It still was cleverly disquised to look like a separate area. The room flowed and took you from its door through the tasteful furnishings, past the jacuzzi whose windows opened out onto the balcony furnished with a bed there too, to the wonderful view of the resort with its interesting buildings and wonderful art outside and inside. Each room had a refrigerator that was stocked every morning and if you didn't want to leave your room to try one of the wonderful restaurants, room service was quick and had great choices. However, the restaurants were an adventure in eating. It is hard to pick a favorite but I think it would be between Spice (Asian), the Lobster House and Toscana (Italian). Barcelona's breakfast was magnificent. You never were far from water - whether you wanted to swim in a pool or laze in one of the rambling "rivers" or sit on the beach. The sunshine was wonderful, but there was still plenty of shady areas to relax and read or meet people from all over the world. We did not take advantage of the Miile Spa, but heard that it was wonderful. Maybe next time - and there will definitely be a next time. We did take a trip into Cancun for shopping at the flea market and also to go to Senior Frogs. But the day we took the ferry to Isla Mujeres was the best. As we got off the ferry we rented a golfcart and spent the day exploring that very neat island. We would highly recommend that because it is close to the resort and not that expensive. However, the resort itself had many activities all day long and at night - even a Casino night. The shows every night had quite a variety of talent - dancers, singers, circus, magician dance lessons, etc. Our only criticism was that many new bartenders were being trained while we were there. After trying a couple of "specials of the day" we settled on whatever our favorite seasoned bartenders at the Martini Bar, Fidencio and Christian would make us. The Ultra Lounge is a must at night - under the stars on the beach.

Jamie LedezmaFresno, CA Travel Dates 8/9-8/14/09RIU Caribe Cheap Caribbean provided the best bang for our buck! I shopped around and no other company came close to the price Cheap Caribbean offered. We were a little worried going into our vacation of "getting what we paid for." Rather, we loved our time in Cancun, accomodations were stellar and the bargain couldn't be beat! Thanks for a vacation that didn't break the bank!

The grand palladium was everything that was advertised!! Often the pictures and reality are two different things. It is a beautiful location, the staff was great, the accommodations were breath-taking,and the food good and plentiful. We already plan to plan a return visit next year!

My name is Teresa Leonard and I booked a trip with your company to Punta Cana. I traveled with two other people and we were there from August 9 - l4.We had a nice time on our vacation, however, we did have a few surprises.I stayed at Dreams Punta Cana about 11/2 years ago(Was Sunscape Beach) and it was a very nice hotel. We were able to eat in the nice restaurants every night without having to spend time in long lines to book a reservation. This time I stayed at the NH Real Arena and I stayed one night longer. We had to stand in long lines the first day we arrived to get restaurant reservations for the entire week. The two restaurants that we wanted to attend were booked for the entire week and only open certain days. They also limited us to 2 nights in a restaurant based on the number of nights we had booked.I do not think that this should be a surprise. I think that you need to clarify that ahead of time with your customers. Perhaps we could have made reservations ahead of our arrival. Also the food was not good in the main buffet. The grounds were new and beautiful but the food was not great and hardly anyone working there spoke English. We had a terrible time communicating with the help. We asked the front desk for several things and they never did deliver them. Also if you want to snorkel free on their beach you have to leave a deposit with the snorkel shack as they are not apart of the hotel. One hotel employee told me that there was a charge. It also rained on the day that we had our snorkel trip. Now we have to split the rain day coupon between 3 of us.The hotel was fine as I said, however, it did not compare to Dreams Punta Cana and Dreams did not go on sale for the same price until 2 weeks before we left.

I recently scheduled a vacation with Cheap Carribean.com and I have to say it was affordable. The person who assisted me with making the reservation was extremely helpful. Once we arrived to Montego Bay we were greeted by taxi service included in our package who escorted us to our Hotel Riu Negril Tropical Bay. Our stay at the Riu was very comfortable and they extremely attentive. Entertainment was always available, food was good, beds were somewhat hard but still comfortable, turn down service and bar service was also very good. My trip was August 7-13. Sincerely, Italia Orellana

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to St. Croix using a Cheap Caribbean plan. This is our second trip to the island, this time staying at the Buccaneer Resort. We were there from August 10-14 and packed our days full of fun activities. We were met upon our arrival at the airport for our shuttle ride to the resort, and thus began the fun. The resort offered so many activities that we would have been perfectly content to stay there for the entire visit, but the availability of shuttle service into town made even more activities available. We highly recommend the offers made by Cheap Caribbean - they provide all that's promised. Carolyn S. ShullBoone, NC

Kyra GrathwohlTroy, MIAug. 10-14, 2009Viva Wyndham, Grand Bahamas My son and I traveled specifically for scuba diving. I was uncertain about the accommodations before we left. I was uncertain about booking via CheapCaribbean in reference to the fact that it would go off without any hiccups. The booking was accurate and we had no problems with any travel details. The resort was amazingly well staffed. The resort environment was exceptionally clean. It was not a five star resort in terms of its decorative craftsmanship, but the cost-to-accommodation quality ratio was well beyond my expectations. Food was very good, plentiful, and nearly always available. Open bar was very nice; drinks were good. The activity staff was the highlight of the resort. Young people, adorned with endless smiles, were always around encouraging participation in a variety of activities all day long. Many languages were spoken and the staff clearly intended to make all feel welcome. The shows in the evening were very well performed by staff that enjoyed themselves. Security staff was silently present and a great asset to the resort. A special thanks to Chris (security) for his pleasant advice. Diving with the resort was very positive. Staff commitment to safety was good. Boat was superb. Equipment was excellent. Price for diving was the greatest asset of the program, it was very reasonable. The guest storage for personal equipment was secure and well equipped. I would dive again with them. Special thanks to Sawyer for his expert, calm, intelligent dive guidance. Thanks,Kyra

This was our first time in Jamaica and we were very pleased with the Grand Palladium. It was beautifully laid out, a lot of room and the facilities were gorgeous. The pool was huge and had a ton of seating with all sorts of variety in where you could sit. There was also a lot of beach space to enjoy and the views were spectacular! The hotel rooms were huge and had a huge jacuzzi in the bathroom and a separate shower. It was of great quality and we absolutely loved it. We've been to a 5-star all-inclusive before in the Riveria Maya and this came pretty close to it. The food was pretty good in the buffets-a lot of choices and the ala carte restaurants were really good. The Lady Hamilton side is for adults and be careful the adults-only pool and beach allows topless sunbathing so not meant for families! Our main complaint would be the hotel tour people who come around and try to get you to book tours and convinced us to book a boat cruise. They totally mislead us and told us all this stuff we would do if we booked the boat cruise and we paid almost $170 to go on a 3-hour booze cruise and go snorkeling. We were initially told we would eat lobster, see great sunsets, go cliff diving, jump on trampolines, go shopping and then told later we had to pay extra for some of it so we ended up watching other people eat lobster in the cold rain. Most of the other people on our cruise were also told different things and many of which we never actually got to do. They said we could go shopping in Negril and then took us to a very shady store in a dangerous looking part of the town late in the evening and worst of all the male boat staff invited girls they just met on the beach for FREE on the cruise and some of the other people purchased the same tour as us but on the day of the cruise and ended up paying half the price we did! We really felt mislead and highly recommend you do NOT book any of the activities the hotel people have to offer especially the expensive ones-youll regret it. Otherwise, we had a good time and enjoyed this hotel. A. Busan, Chicago, ILVacationed August 1-7, 2009
