Fabulous vacation at a great price

My husband and I spent a long Memorial Day weekend at this resort in the Royal Club section and loved every second. La Palapa served a fabulous breakfast with a gorgeous view every morning, and the bar and food service from Carlos and Esteban at the beach was impeccable. We definitely plan to return!

4 days at Paradisus

We had upgraded to the "oceanview" room but it wasn't available for check-in so they gave us a room with the "garden view" and view of the pool with a more far away ocean view. It was lovely. Only complaint was the duvet wasn't down so it was hard to get comfortable - too hot or too cold. Everything was spotless - they had staff everywhere cleaning all the time. Service poolside was amazing! Christian was above and beyond wonderful. If you are adults only staying there - you can dine at the finer restaurant "La Palapa". Only place for Lobster as part of the all-inclusive. Dinner at the Mexican restaurant exceeded expectations - the hand made tacos street style were phenomenal and the fresh fish catch of the day. Breakfast was also excellent. Loved the filled mini bar and snacks in the room.

Bad food and boring

Paradisus Los Cabo's is a beautiful hotel which is one of 3 hotels that has a swimable beach in Los Cabos which was why we chose it as our vacation destination. We booked a beachfront room which when we arrived found that it wasn't what we would consider beach front at all. The room was more of an ocean view since it was about halfway back on the property and you had to walk past the pool and down a staircase to get to the beach. On top of that the ocean view was obstructed by a building which contained a restaurant and a bar. Next were the restaurants, they claimed to have 7 dining options but come to find out that only the buffet was open for breakfast, only 2 were open for lunch, and there were 6 open for dinner but one was a private restaurant open to only the high end rooms one was a restaurant you had to pay for your meals even though we were paying for all inclusive and there was one random restaurant closed every night we were there. Now when you could eat the food was clearly all frozen and / or old and we spent the week just trying to find something decent to eat. Most of the seafood was inedible and even the catch of the day tasted like it was 2 weeks old and reheated. Now if all you want to do is drink, relax on the beach and by the pool then this could be the place for you. But if you want entertainment then avoid the hotel because we found it quite boring after all the other all inclusive hotels we've stayed at. Other than a could of mid day drinking classes and a couple of live bands at night, there was zero entertainment at the hotel which was quite disappointing and we found ourselves going to bed early every evening. The staff was friendly enough but I did not feel that they were exceptional at least not as good as the other all inclusive staffing that we've encountered. I also found that they wanted to bring everything to you and would not let you get things yourself, this was most likely so that you would tip them more often. Overall it's a beautiful hotel but again it was quite boring and the food was terrible in our opinion so if all you want is a nice looking hotel with a decent beach to relax, with good drinks and don't care about food or entertainment then this is the place for you.
