Grand Oasis

Great place for the money. We had 3 of us and we got the Grand Plus option. I would recommend getting the VIP upgrade if you can. That allows you to eat at more restaurants (without waiting) and use bars & other amenities. The oceanview rooms we had were fabulous. The balconies looking out to the water & being able to hear the waves crashing were awesome. Weather was perfect. Resort Very nice but HUGE! The do seem to gear their entertainment mostly to college age kids. There were lots of people there but we found the ins & outs after the second day to eat places without a long wait. The Red Circus performances were a plus but we REALLY enjoyed the entertainment at the Fountainbleau Lounge. We heard local acts and also the Cancun Blues Festival artists Devon Allman & Samantha Fish. Also their opening bands were great. The service at the Fountainbleau Lounge with Server VERONICA (she is the best server-after our first round of drinks on our first night there, when we walked in she knew what we wanted to drink-& she brought refills before we even asked!) and the bartender Allan (he made our drinks special) could not have been better. Food in the buffet restaurants were so-so. One late night we went to the sports bar for a Burger and it was the worse we ever had eaten anywhere but the fries were good. Ibiza Seafood and Sushi was very good but we usually had to wait up to 30 minutes for a table at lunchtime. The Chinese restaurant was good and no waiting if you ate early. We enjoyed the robes and slippers in our rooms and having the stocked refrig. was great. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The nightly tray with chocolates & turn-down service was nice. The grounds were beautifully kept. We loved the coy pond. The beach areas with the beds and palapas were great and the bars near the beach & the outside beach stage (Oscar was a good bartender) were good too. The staff in the Grand Plus office and the concierge people (Aaron) were AWESOME. Being able to check in thru the separate Grand Plus office was good but we stood in line in the general check-in office for 45 minutes before we were told that we were to go the the Grand Plus office to check in. Someone at the entrance should have told us to go the separate office for check-in. Being able to check out thru the concierge desk in our building was definitely a PLUS! IThis was our 2nd trip to this hotel. It has changed a lot since 4 years ago but we enjoyed our time here. The hotel was a lot more crowded than our previous trip but even with the changes (mainly the sushi menu & the so-so buffet restaurants) it was well worth the money.

Great Vacation!

This resort is huge and beautiful! The grounds, pool and beach are very well taken care of. We had a beach front room (Grand Plus) and our room was spacious, with a stocked mini fridge, and beach towels that you can swap out each day for freshly washed ones. We slept with our door open a few nights just to listen to the ocean waves. The housekeeping was great, cleaned everyday and the bed was turned down every evening. Please note that there are two different "sides" to this resort. The building we were in was right next to the music stage. So we did have music going for most of the afternoon and into the evening as it was their Spring celebration. (Although we were not in our room during the day to even be bothered by this)The music did not go too late, usually when we got back to our room by 10 p.m. the music was done. If you sit on this side of the resort during the day it is more of a party side with the music, volleyball net, and 2 swim-up bars. If you venture to the other "side" of the resort the beach and pool are much quieter. You could not even hear the music. It was nice to have a choice on where we would like to sit for the day, if we wanted entertainment or rest and relaxation. (Tip - get up early to reserve your beach or pool spots. Just lay your towels down and head up for breakfast) Make sure you research the different tiers of "all inclusive" so you have a realistic idea of what you are getting when you are there. The food/bars that are available to you all depends on what package you are. We were Grand Plus and were pleased with the amount of choices. Some food was great and delicious (my husband now loves mussels) and some food was just average. You just learn to know what you like. Try different things, after all you don't have to pay for something if you don't like it. Overall we were satisfied with our stay. The staff was great! Always had smiles and greeted us all the time.

Terrible resort and terrible Cheap Carribean!!

This resort was booked by cheap carribeans mistake. They never fixed my problem and never refunded me for two nights that I spend together with my parents (when we booked another resort for two rooms). My vacation was only 6 days and I spend every day on the phone with Cheap Carribean and they did not bother helping me move to another resort with two rooms when everything was paid in full. Grand Oasis Cancun is a very old resort with old furniture and air conditioners that make loud noise in your room. The restaurants are all very small and have poor variety. The lines in some restaurants are over 2 hours! Ridiculous! Please do not waste your time calling cheap carribean or booking this old resort! I am more stressful now than I was before my vacation!!

What's to Love

The resort sits on an almost half-mile of snow-white, soft, sandy beach. Get those toes ready.

Stress-busting, poolside massages overlooking the turquoise Caribbean. Melt.

It has the longest pool in Cancun - it's a quarter-mile long. (You can find your own Private Idaho in it.)

The non-stop crazy fun: themed parties, dancing, shows & more.

The frosty Coco Locos at the swim-up bar. The day drinking is on.

Doing absolutely nothing except chillaxing in the cuddly robe and slippers that await you in the rooms.

What We'd Change

Grand Oasis Cancun is a little far from Cancun's nightlife. If you're heading out to experience a lively evening, catch a cab and party the night away.

Why You Should Go

It's 25 short minutes away from the airport. Your first frosty vacay cocktail is a heartbeat away.

You can rent a Smart car, and zip around Cancun in style.

You can burn off those margaritas with aerobics, cross fit, yoga and Zumba.

There's a nine-hole, par 3 golf course that's near the resort.

Water sports nearby at AquaWorld: kayaks, catamarans and aquatic bikes. Splish splash.

You've got 20 restaurants and 20 bars to savor on this vacay. Time to dig in at all this deliciousness.

Hotel Description

Grand Oasis Cancun: Have an All-Inclusive, More-Than-Grand Vacay

This rockin' resort is epic fun. Here, you'll get a big heaping helping of the cultural aspect of Mexico. For instance, you can enjoy a "Grand Mexican Experience" with a long list of delicious grub spots to go with it that features Mexican tequilas, Mexican wines and dishes from Northern Mexico, plus tastes from Los Agaves and Guadalajara Delights. There's a world-class golf course near. Gotta love that. The spa is fantabulous. Perfect for chillaxing and recovering from all the merriment you'll have here. If you want all the extras that you so deserve (and you know, you do), make sure you book a Grand Plus room. It comes with it all.

BEACHES AND POOLS

The 650 meters of pristine, sugar-white sand is more than swoon-worthy, as are the two beach clubs that each boast DJs. The pool, well, let's just say: be prepared to have your hair blown back. It's 300 meters long and one of the largest in Latin America. Peace out, beach lovers.
