Hotel Description
Karibea Baie du Galion Resort: Martinique Sightseeing, Caravelle Peninsula and Tartane Beach
Want a side of romance with your taste for adventure? Island explorers and nature lovers get both for a steal at Karibea Baie du Galion Resort in Martinique where gorgeous sights and access to the island's hottest attractions draw guests from around the world. Located right in the thick of the island's central Atlantic region and steeped in the warmth of Creole culture, the resort is in a hotel complex that includes both Baie du Galion and Goelette Hotel. The resort's secluded location on Caravelle Peninsula offers lush, scenic vistas of the surrounding natural reserve, but don't worry about being too isolated; the nearby fishing village of Tartane offers great local cuisine.
The resort's hillside location overlooking the Caribbean offers breathtaking sights and is a short five-minute walk to the nearby beach. A sheltered bay creates gentle surf that lovebirds take full advantage of. Two freshwater pools help guests cool down before poolside Le Surcouf draws them in with mouthwatering aromas. The buffet serves French and Creole cuisine with authentic dishes like spicy seafood gumbo and red beans and rice. Drop by Le Sextant after dinner for lively conversation and rum punch. Folk groups, karaoke, dancing or a Creole costume parade keep guests entertained.
Wake up early enough to watch the sunrise before heading to Spoutourne Center. Just .93 mi away, the open-air center offers tons of water sports to keep seafarers happy: explore the bay on a kayak or keep your balance while water skiing. Tennis and p?tanque courts promise hours of easy fun, and walking the numerous posted paths of Caravelle Peninsula's natural reserve are popular ways to spend the afternoon. Explorers who want to see it all head for the nearby historic ruins at Dubuc Castle or rent a car to witness the stratovolcanic majesty of Montagne Pel?e.
Seeing the sights takes it out of tired relax-ationers; the Galion Superior Guestroom with a spectacular ocean view guarantees guests get the sleep they need. Don't worry about breakfast--it's on the house!
