For a romantic getaway or a private, secluded honeymoon, stay at the Hotel Plein Soleil Martinique, situated in the hills above the town of Le Fran?ois, surrounded by lush vegetation. This boutique hotel oozes charm. Consisting of five villas with only 16 intimate rooms and suites, the hotel is centered between the beaches to the south and the mountains and rain forest to the north, with killer views of the Bay of Fran?ois.

Very Quant
Hotel Plein Soleil was a very nice surprise. We had a little bit of a hard time finding it because a few of the signs were missing. The facility was in very good condition and kept very well. I can not say the same of the road to the hotel, could use a little work to fill in the holes.
The rooms were very clean and the varanda was very nice for sitting in the evening. There was plenty of hot water and the air conditioning was a nice feature. Rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels.
We eat breakfasts daily but only one dinner, dinner was very good but a little bit pricey. We stopped at a market daily and bought items for dinner (bread, cheese, pate', greens, pickles, cantalope) for example.
The pool was very nice. The staff was very helpful and even loaned us a laptop computer to use.
Renting a car is a must. We had no trouble traveling with the map that we had and by being in the middle of the island it wasn't a very long travel to the beaches in the south or the volcano in the north. The ladies even got to shop at the galaria in Fort deFrance.
We traveled March 9-16. We had great weather, a fantastic time, and would love to go back in the future.

16 Creole and Caribbean style rooms are housed in five colorful villas with wonderful views of the Bay of Francois. All rooms include an LCD TV, telephone and Wi-Fi access.
You're in Martinique, so splurge a little. Book one of the larger rooms with a private plunge pool--there's nothing like relaxing on your private deck overlooking your private pool.
What We'd Change
Mosquito nets are provided at the resort, and you should use them. They will keep those Caribbean critters from interrupting your sleep.

Hotel Plein Soleil allows you to relax and take in the quiet, remote location but also enjoy a convenient base for exploring the rest of the island. Lounge around the main swimming pool and take in enchanting views of the sea under the shade of your gently swaying palapa, or kick back in the inn's stylish great house with a good page-turner. After a few days of taking it easy, make the leisurely drive to one of the area's stunning beaches or tone your uber-relaxed muscles with hiking, fishing, sailing or horseback riding.
The hotel's restaurant, Table D'Hote, awaits you in the old colonial house and boasts an upscale menu with fine European service. But don't plan to rush through your meal--not that you will want to. The house chef recently returned after months of training with Alain Ducasse, one of France's most famous chefs. Lunch and dinner menus change according to the chef's inspiration, but include a choice of two entrees, two main courses and a dessert.
The Creole and Caribbean inspired rooms, housed in five colorful villas, offer stunning views of Thal?mont Bay plus a flat-screen TV, a small refrigerator and wireless Internet access. Many of the furnishings have been collected from the private travels of bilingual owner Jean-Christophe, adding a charming and eclectic touch to the hotel. Master Rooms feature a terrace and outdoor kitchenette. Or, for an extra dollop of romance and luxury, enjoy a private deck and plunge pool in a Master Pool Room or Jardin Suite.
