Nice package deal

Riu Santa Fe was really good to us! Staff is really friendly, efficient, and professional. The minute you walk in the resort the staff greets you with a nice frozen drink! The buffets are decent I just wished there would've been more of a Latin menu? It was very Americanized and it's good but could be better you are in Mexico! I'm trying to taste it too! Beds are a little too firm too, wish they were softer, over all my experience there was great! Took my five year old and she had a blast! Didn't want to come back home.

I would NOT go back for FREE!

RIU Santa Fe was the WORST vacation I have taken. We took a gamble after reading the reviews- DON’T DO IT! We were here for 5 nights and I should have checked out immediately and figures something else out! The service at this resort was horrible. DO NOT STAY HERE! 2 positives: 1) I cannot complain about the Bar tenders- they were all very friendly and provided enjoyable service. However, the rest of my experience was despicable. 2) The view from the Infinity pool was GORGEOUS!!! It lines up right with the ocean and you get a great view of the Arch. The pool itself was falling apart, chunks of times missing, extremely dirty water with a layer of sun screen floating on the top about 1in thick. ALL the other parts- 3) Food: Horrible. NO ROOM SERVICE. The restaurants only let you put your name on a waiting list if you arrive at 6pm when they open. They take about 10 tables each and then tell you “we are not taking anymore reservations”. BUT- if you try to make reservation early- “Sorry no reservations”. REGARDLESS- you don’t want to eat at ANY of the restaurants (the steak house was the WORST) anyway. The food is GROSS. They tell you that if you want to eat after hours you have to go to the “sports bar” for “late night dining”= that means you choose either: a cold hot dog or nachos with congealed fake cheese. YUM! I should have checked out day 1. 4) The liquor quality is sub par. I have not experienced such low quality liquor anywhere else. Their “highest shelf” is Bacardi Silver- and you have to request it!!! Gross. The drinks are plentiful- everywhere and there are A LOT of bars…. But the quality is so bad that it will turn your stomach. I switched ot beer and drank warm XX the rest of the trip. The ONLY beer option. 5) DON’T LOOSE YOUR WRIST BAND! They will charge you a significant amount for a new one!!!! And if you don’t get a new one they will ask you to leave the pools, restaurants or bars. 6) You CANNOT swim at the beach out of the hotel. The ad says you can- YOU CAN’T. It is VERY steep, rocky, sandy drop off into a dangerous ocean. You have to walk about 30 minutes up the beach to get in the water. 7) The MAIDS STOLE our items we purchased from the pharmacy in town. They were in the drawer- then disappeared out of the bag when we went to pack up to go home ( My favorite part of the trip) . 8) AC didn’t work and they wouldn’t give us a different room. The front desk tried to tell me there were no other rooms available. Really? ALL the other people in my group changed rooms or paid for an upgrade upon arrival. But that was not an option for me? Huh. AGAIN- I should have checked out!!!

Cabo without a buzz

This was the first time I had stayed at an all inclusive resort. As far as the food selection went, the buffet and mexican food was good. All other ethnic (italian, Asian,Steakhouse) were all not good at all and that's a nice way to say it. The room were nice and comfortable. The bars were ok, they only served one type of beer. The selection of liquor was very limited, and very under quality. The liquor provided in the mini bar in the room was so horrible it was undrinkable! The liquor dispenser in the room had 4 regular sized bottles that had serving spouts on them all all different types of liquor, but they all had the same taste (Bad)! Still overall it was a good value.

Great weekend getaway

The resort is beautiful. Only downside is only one building has beach views. The infinity pools are stunning. Resort dining definitely leaves more to be desired but going into town to get good food was an adventure. I would come stay again.

What's to Love

All-inclusive everything: the cocktails, the grub, the utter awesomeness of it all.

Cabo's breath-stealing views from the patio of the resort that are picture-worthy.

Mojitos are legendary and de-lish. Order up as many as you want.

RiuFit is ready to buff you up. Weights. Cardio. Stretching. Catch it every morning & afternoon.

The impressive nightly entertainment. Especially fun for the little ones.

RiuLand, where the kiddos can play & craft the day away while you melt into stress extraction at the spa.

Dipping into the Jacuzzi for bubbly relaxation. (Plus always a fun mingling spot.)

What We'd Change

Reservations at the restaurants can be hard to get at the last minute. Ask about the schedule at check-in, then book your reservations early, so you'll have nothing to worry about.

Why You Should Go

It's close to the heart of Cabo San Lucas' shopping, nosh & drinking spots and the marina.

Whale watching here is epic. Best time to see these awe-inspiring creatures - mid-Dec thru mid-April.

Cabo's famous "El Arco" is in the backdrop. Grab your camera and snap, snap away.

You can dance your heart out at Pacha nightclub. Put on your disco shoes and get to it.

Invigorating crowds keep the party going at the pool, around the resort and at night.
