First Time Experience

This was my first International travel and I was very impressed. The loacation was great and the servie was fantastic!!! If I had to make a critcism, it would be that the hotel did not offer trips to downtown for guest to shop. That would have been the icing on the cake!! It was a birthday trip and it was well worth it!! My brothers are now interested in going!!! Great job!!

Honeymoon on a budget

We booked this after an expensive wedding and house left us with a medium honeymoon budget. For me Cabo is too hot but my husband loved it. The humidity of 65% with 95 degrees was just too much for my Irish self. Food was mediocre at best. I tended to eat the same things everyday including quesadillas even for breakfast. Drinks are weak but it is what to be expected from an all inclusive. The seated restaurants are better than the buffet for sure though. Mattress feels like plastic. For good reason I am sure. The best thing was the staff. Very eager to please, always cleaning something and happy to get you whatever you need, even a second entree at the restaurants. We told them it was our honeymoon and I will say we had an amazing view and probably the best in the place (room 7324) but building 7 is a trecK if you are going back to the main lobby for wifi or food multiple times a day. Overall this was a great value and while maybe not in Cabo unless it was winter we would stay with RIU again.

Pretty solid, but then ending ruined it.

This trip left a mixed bag for me. We paid for round-trip transportation as part of our package. On our return trip, the taxi left without us. Additionally, the one-way trip to the airport costs $15/person, which is much less than what CheapCarribean is charging you ($51 round trip). Additionally, the hotel would not let us leave because we left our towel cards in our rooms and didn't bring them to checkout. We were late for our flight due to our original transport abandoning us at the resort, and now they had the audacity to keep us longer. We each paid $15 to be on our way. Worse yet, our plane was delayed for 7 hours due to a "mechanical issue." There were some great experiences and met some cool people, but the end of the trip left quite a poor taste in my mouth.

Its mexico

The first thing I must comment on is the level of service I received which was fairly poor. I arrived via the cheap carribean/Amstar shuttle was assigned a room and promptly told that I must wait three hours for it to be cleaned. Understandable though many of the individuals arrivinfg with me were immediately given room keys and checked in. I was assigned a room for which I waited in the lobby for three hours I returned to the desk to inquire about my room and was told by a staff member that there was a technical difficulty with my room and I would have to accept another, different room, as well as continue my wait. As a result I spent six hours in the lobby awaiting my room and was ultimately given a room with a view of a construction site and a badly broken tv. I reported the tv and again questioned why my room had been changed. As it turns out the resort found that they could rent my originally assigned room to other people for more money so they shifted me to a lower quality back of the resort type room. I complained and was told essentially to get over it there was nothing they could do. In addition to to the customer service troubles the majority of the food was on a par with a Dennys, not to criticize Dennys but for a resort that claims to be four star the whole experience was decidedly less than that. Doers my trip insurance reimburse me for the level of incompetence I experienced. This is a cookie cutter resort just like all the rest of the supposed 4 stars with the service level of motel 6 and a food quality of Waffle house. I want my money back.

Hotel Description

Riu Santa Fe: Indulge in All-Inclusive Fun

If your idea of paradise means laying partially submerged in a lounge chair without a care in the world, then it's time to float yourself down to explore the infinity pool at Riu Santa Fe in Los Cabos. With the convenience of this 24-hour, all-inclusive resort, you are just three miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas where you can take in the right balance of serenity, spectacular vistas and thrilling nightlife.

If that isn't enough, you'll find more ways to pamper yourself at Riu Santa Fe than time to indulge in all of them. Worried about the kids? There are plenty of fun activities like splashing around in the kid's pool, or engaging in Kids Club activities. While the little ones are occupied, head toward the swim-up bar at an adult pool or indulge in the magical warmth of a Jacuzzi. Of course, you can't go wrong with a rejuvenating massage or complimentary steam bath and sauna at Renova Spa.

If you can't tear yourself from the beautiful outdoors, you should enjoy a succulent dinner under the moonlight with sea breezes blowing through your hair because after all, this is paradise. Three of the resort's restaurants offer succulent dishes in outdoor settings. At La Baja California, the main restaurant, you can enjoy the buffet, if you want some Mexican food, check out La Mision. If you have a hankering for a great steak, then Torote is the ticket. For a gourmet treat, try Peking duck at Zashila followed by yummy fried ice cream.

If you're the type who can't sit still when the music begins, then don't miss the excitement at Pacha. Open six nights a week, this charming nightclub will have you moving to a disco beat in no time. If, you'd rather enjoy a laid back evening, the resort also provides excellent live entertainment in each night. As the night winds down, make your way to your guest room, where you'll find the same blend of local warmth and contemporary decor that makes this resort special.

You could stay at Riu Santa Fe a month and not experience everything in Los Cabos! Long before the peninsula boasted world-class golf courses and Cabo San Lucas laid claim to its hip nightlife, fishermen trekked to Los Cabos for the magnificent marlin fishing. Terrific vistas, non-stop fun and quiet spots make this one a winner.
