just a perfect blend of elegance and simplicity!

From start to finish the process was seamless. Check-in was a breeze, room was clean and comfortable, food was amazing! pools were great. We went for 4 days and our only regret was not staying longer.

Clean and Beautiful

This resort is kept extremely clean. The pools are beautiful. The buffets are fresh, clean and provide many food options. Although the beach is not the best for swimming due to the current, it is clean and beautiful.

You get what you pay for....

This Resort was your average resort. Nothing stuck out as wow except the location and views. They were amazing, but I believe any resort in Cabo has the same view. The food was questionable at times but I chalk that up to "buffet" food. The hotel was kept fairly clean and there was always something going on for entertainment. The BIGGEST ISSUE was the beds..I had read on another review that the beds very hard and uncomfortable but really didn't think too much of it. By the 2nd day my husband could barely walk and by the 4th day I was in severe pain and couldn't sleep at night. We are both fit and in our late 30's but the bed did a number on us. Also the towels are extremely rough on the skin so if you are sensitive bring your own towels. If we were to do it again I would pay extra and stay somewhere a little nicer for the comfort and food quality. But if your looking to go to get crazy and party like its 1999 then you might enjoy this place. Also they will try to charge for everything extra...I locked myself out of the room once and asked for a key to let myself back in and was told it was $14. I put my foot down and refused to pay it. Cabo itself was amazing and would love to go back. The food in town was great.

Great Quick Getaway

We needed a getaway, found a good deal Friday PM, booked it and were gone Sunday AM. Our 2nd trip to Riu Santa Fe. Found the food to be very good. Our room adequate but TV old. The employees all very nice and very hard workers. Walked to Walmart to get sunscreen the first day then continued on to the marina. Traffic can be a little scary when crossing the highway but not a difficult walk. Used the white public transportation bus for a dollar the rest of the time. Our biggest concern was a little too much party hardy.... yeah, I know, it's Cabo but there needs to be a cut off when someone is dangerously drunk. They dont evacuate the pool when drunks throw up in them.... Witnessed a girl going behind the bar and pouring into peoples mouth to see who could take most. Then she did a little "dance" on some guys face. (Her momma would be proud!) One guy was so wasted that he fell down and knocked his front teeth out! Had to have some hangover the next day!! Heard some other stories of risky behavior. Maybe a little better control at the pool bars?

What's to Love

Cabo's breath-stealing views from the patio of the resort that are picture-worthy.

Mojitos are legendary and de-lish. Order up as many as you want.

RiuFit is ready to buff you up. Weights. Cardio. Stretching. Catch it every morning & afternoon.

The impressive nightly entertainment. Especially fun for the little ones.

RiuLand, where the kiddos can play & craft the day away while you melt into stress extraction at the spa.

Dipping into the Jacuzzi for bubbly relaxation. (Plus always a fun mingling spot.)

What We'd Change

Reservations at the restaurants can be hard to get at the last minute. Ask about the schedule at check-in, then book your reservations early, so you'll have nothing to worry about.

Why You Should Go

It's close to the heart of Cabo San Lucas' shopping, nosh & drinking spots and the marina.

Whale watching here is epic. Best time to see these awe-inspiring creatures - mid-Dec thru mid-April.

Cabo's famous "El Arco" is in the backdrop. Grab your camera and snap, snap away.

You can dance your heart out at Pacha nightclub. Put on your disco shoes and get to it.

Invigorating crowds keep the party going at the pool, around the resort and at night.
