The best trip I took so far

I took this trip for my birthday alongside my fiancé, and it will forever be unforgettable. Perfect resort for couples or people looking to have a peace of mind. We are both 25 years old and had fun but it was still so peaceful, quiet and romantic. I would say if you want to party hard, this isn't the place. We just wanted to enjoy Melia and eachother and that's exactly what we did. The staff was AMAZING. Service was AMAZING. We stayed at the level ocean front. Definitely worth it. It's more private and intimate. The rooms were so clean, spacious and the views are unforgettable. The level is all facing the beach/ocean view. Definitely so romantic. It's good for elders and or families as well. Definitely going back within the next 6 months! Ps. The food seemed better to us in this resort compared to other Caribbean resorts

Nice Resort

The resort is away from the population centers so it is nice and quiet. Not many kids so that made it quiet as well. Would definitely return. very relaxing and a good smaller resort. Snorkeling was decent right in front of the pool area. Not great but you will see smaller fish. We saw a sting ray and a sea turtle also. Cab ride from the airport was 45 minutes. Most restaurants do not require reservations so you can go to them more than one time which was good. They upgraded our room to beach front without being asked even!!

Great relaxing trip

Melia Braco Village is very nice. First, the staff is truly wonderful. Pleasant, helpful and fun, your wish is at their command. The rooms were good, very clean, good bedding and attentive housekeeping. The food is better than the average all inclusive, the authentic jerk chicken and jerk pork that they grilled everyn day by the beach/pool was Awesome. The steakhouse was very very Delicious, with spectacular service, if the staff has time they serenade the guests. So fun! Also, the pasta restaurant very good food and awesome service. O and the Asian fusion place was pretty good. I will say, Bring Water Shoes!! The water is very rocky. But with the shoes, snorkeling is good. It was a little windy while we were there, so kayaking and hobbies cat sailing weren't really options. And really the only sort of complaint we had was that we inquired about upgrading to "the Level", and the manager we asked about kind of blew us off. Said it was sold out for the weekend, and that was about that. Not a great up sell. But, I will say we didn't miss it.

Great relaxing trip

Great deal!

Melia came in and totally updated Braco Beach. The rooms are modern and fresh. The beaches are beautiful and well groomed. There is wait staff on the beach to bring you your drinks. Plenty of shade on the beach (not so much at the pool). The staff will give you a ride on a hobie cat and loan you snorkel gear. The spa is wonderful--had a treatment every day. We ate at every restaurant: the Italian was great, the steakhouse was amazing (but you have to pay an additional high fee for the good cuts), but the Japanese grill experience was lacking--skip it. The street party was great fun and the variety of food was outstanding. The jerk chicken at the beach grill was just the right amount of spicy. Downside: entertainment and activities for anyone who wants to stay up past 10 pm. The ONLY bar open after 10 pm is in the Disco where the music is much too loud and very few people are dancing. Turn down the music, let people drink and talk. EVERYTHING else is closed. Singers were hit or miss, circus acts not my cup of tea. Daytime entertainment consisted of daily beach volleyball games, occasional gym classes, tie dye shirts. I wouldn't have minded the silly things like bingo, trivia, drinking game, horse racing while out at the pool---I missed it at this resort. If you like slow paced and relaxing, this is a great place. If you want to party, this is not it. While listed as a family resort, very few kids here. Mostly couples. GREAT deal--got it on sale and with resort credits. GREAT relaxing vacation--thanks Melia!

What's to Love

Fancy new duds throughout the resort that create that stylish level of lavishness you want (um, it's what you deserve, mon).

A private beach where the views are endless and the beach bartender already knows your name and your favorite cocktail.

You can keep your beach bod looking svelte with a session or two with one of the on-site trainers at the fitness center.

Traveling with the fam? Perfect, because Kids & Co. will take care of the young tykes - they want to have a little fun time, too.

Vegging out at the spa with a beachside massage - leaving the beach would require too much effort - remember it's your vacay!

Who doesn't love a piano bar?!

What We'd Change

You'll be in the quiet Trelawny Parish which doesn't have the nightlife like the Hip Strip in Montego Bay, but you're here to relax on your vacation and with this location, you're close to many of Jamaica's best tourist stops - like Dunn's River Falls.

Why You Should Go

The resort is away from the hustle and bustle of Montego Bay - you're drive is about 45 minutes from the airport and oh, so worth it once you arrive.

You're close to some of Jamaica's favorite spots to see - Green Grotto Caves, Luminous Lagoon, Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove & you'll find an excursion desk on-site to help you plan all your adventures.

On those nights when you'd rather enjoy dinner on your balcony (and in your jammies) then 24-hour room service will be your thang.

The resort is 100% non-smoking!

The resort more boutique than mega (226 rooms!) so it's super easy to get around and and you'll often feel like no one else matters but you.
