Great Value

The resort is very unique in that it is set up as a village with a town square and several restaurants on the premises including; 876 Prime (Steakhouse), The Market Place (Buffett), O'Grille (Traditional Jamaican), Rasta Pasta (Italian) and Nikkei (Asian). We ate at every restaurant and they were all for the most part excellent. Our least favorite was the Nikkei Restaurant--this was a hibachi style restaurant that we just didn't care for the flavor or the quality of food. One thing I really dislike about this resort and it is very common at some resorts---LONG PANTS at certain restaurants. You are on vacation in the Caribbean who wants to bring long pants?!? I know this is common at several all-inclusive resorts but it makes zero sense to me, it is just another thing you need to pack. The room was very modern and clean. The shower was good size but the temperature was a little moody...we always had to work it to get it hot. The beach was beautiful however the ocean is very shallow and full of rocks (BRING WATER SHOES). I don't know if this is a Jamaica thing but the service across the board is EXTREMELY slow. You have to go into it with the frame of mind that you are on vacation and definitely not in a hurry or you will get upset--it is an exercise in patience. All in all I would stay here again in a minute or maybe an hour...

Amazing All-Inclusive Experience

My boyfriend and I just returned from a 4-night, 5-day getaway to the Melia Braco Village. This was hands down the most beautiful resort I have ever stayed at. The food, the people, the drinks, the accommodations...all amazing! I will 100% come back to this resort again, only next time I will bring all of my family and friends. Jamaica is a beautiful place and the people are even better.

Don't go here for the beach. Food was amazing

I was told to go to jamica for the beach. This resort is on the other side of island from where the best beaches are. It was hard to walk on beach. Very rocky and nothing really to look at. The food was amazing! Everything fresh and service was great. I don't recommend this hotel for young couples. I'm 30, my husband is 40 and we were pretty much the youngest ones there. I would of been fine with that, and the only other thing was the music. They couldn't get it right. They played same songs over and over. Sometimes had 3 different places playing music at the same time. All I need to make me happy is music and pretty beach. This didn't have that

Mixed bag, but good overall

I made the trip for my son's birthday and Spring break. He's 12 and there really wasn't much for him to do besides swim and eat, despite the resort being pegged as family friendly. The Adventure Park wasn't that adventurous, but we had a good time because I brought his best friend, so they occupied each other. The food was pretty good. The rooms were nice, but the refrigerators weren't very cold and the TV channels were snowy. The best part was the staff. They are excellent and typically go out of their way to make sure you have what you want. The 24 hour room service was prompt. I'm not a hard to please person and customer service means more to me than amenities, which weren't bad, so I'd go back, but I think I would try another family friendly resort before coming back here.

Mixed bag, but good overall

What's to Love

Fancy new duds throughout the resort that create that stylish level of lavishness you want.

A private beach where the views are endless and the beach bartender already knows your name and your favorite cocktail.

You can keep your beach bod looking svelte with a session or two with one of the on-site trainers at the fitness center.

Traveling with the fam? Perfect, because Kids & Co. will take care of the young tykes - they want to have a little fun time, too.

Vegging out at the spa with a beachside massage - leaving the beach would require too much effort - remember it's your vacay!

What We'd Change

You'll be in the quiet Trelawny Parish which doesn't have the nightlife like the Hip Strip in Montego Bay, but you're here to relax on your vacation and with this location, you're close to many of Jamaica's best tourist stops - like Dunn's River Falls.

Why You Should Go

The resort is away from the hustle and bustle of Montego Bay - you're drive is about 45 minutes from the airport and oh, so worth it once you arrive.

The Adventure Park has all kinds of fun activities - zip lining, rock climbing & trampolines.

You're close to some of Jamaica's favorite spots to see - Green Grotto Caves, Luminous Lagoon, Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove & you'll find an excursion desk on-site to help you plan all your adventures.

On those nights when you'd rather enjoy dinner on your balcony (and in your jammies) then 24-hour room service will be your thang.
