Not an adult only resort

The building your room is in may be adult only but this resort is NOT! There are 6 hotels on the same grounds that are all connected. Some are adult only and others are family friendly. There is nothing to keep children out of the adult only sections. Many of the restaurant and buffet locations are open to all resort guests. Service was not good. It took 3 days of being at the pool & beach for anyone to even offer to bring us a drink. Workers roam around the resort and do not pay any attention to guests, the noise they are making or the mess they are creating in public areas. There was water leaking from our room ceiling that took 3 days to fix. Many of the staff are simply rude and arrogant. The general appearance of the lobbies are nice but don't look too closely anywhere else. They are dirty and sloppy. I will not be returning to this resort or recommending it to anyone.

Awesome time

We had a great time at Bahia Blue! Sure there were things they could do better but over all it was really a great time. Comfortable rooms, great housekeep! She even hugged and kissed me goodbye!! Bartenders at the pool bar were so much fun and we met so many great people. Good shops g and entertainment and plenty of restaurants to pick from. Make your reservations for your whole stay when you get there. Picky complaints are.... the place is really big and their map stinks! They are not friendly or helpful st the front desk. I really think it would have been helpful for them to explain the property to us. We missed out on a lot because we just did not know. The food was mediocre but picky. Some was very good! They don't have real butter or milk I am Us too. Last is the let people reserve chairs at the beach and pool and if you don't do that by 7am good luck getting one!! Overall though we loved it and definitely will go back and will want to go the Blue again!!

More Bang for your Buck !!!

The hotel shares this resort with five other hotels, by different names but all relatively same place. The Amber blue has majority of its rooms closest to beach, which is great. Also when you are Amber Blue you have access to some of the other hotels amenities, which they don't have to yours , visit there restaurants and pools. So Amber Blue is definitely the way to go as I see it, other hotels on the resort are cheaper but Blue was best that I saw there. The rooms were huge, nice, clean, modern, also bathrooms were huge almost Vegas Style. Walking distance to pool 2 minutes, beach 3 minutes. I have been to many All-Inclusive Hotels and I would have to say maybe this was the best price wise definitely feel like I got my money's worth. I was really impressed by the food and the quality of service, just the dinning hall was much more then I expected, a long with The Brazilian Restaurant and the French Resturant were very good quite surprised with the quality, passed my expectations (need to make reservation, do this first thing when you check-in space fills up quickly.) Pool was ok, average hotel pool with bar, they have other pools on the property that have kids and that are more lively but the Amber Pool was good enough. As for the beach, BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL, the finest sand I have put my feet on. The water is very blue when the sun is out, sometimes you feel a little overcrowded but everyone loves a nice beach. Note: Take singles $1.00 dollar Bills and leave a one Dollar tip It goes a long way!! Better and faster service, they will remember you the next day and pronto everything thing will be quick. All in all I would definitely go back to the Amber Blue ( I checked some of the other hotels on the resort and the Blue and the Principe were the best !!

Very satisfied

Me and my wife went here for our honeymoon feb 12-17!and we were very happy with everything. They did some extra special stuff to our room for the honeymoon and our butler Miguel was awesome. He really looked out for us. Pools are great. They have games and contests throughout the day so your never just laying around the pool bored. The beach is a very short walk from the pool. Restaurants were pretty good. Our favorite was the Brazilian steak house. Portifino and maiko were okay. We usually ate in the lobby buffet or pool bar buffet which were different everyday and had a little bit of everything. Any issues we had were fixed immediately. The resort is very clean. House keeping kept things very nice. Overall, super impressed with it all. Would definitely go back to this resort. All of the employees are super friendly and willing to help with whatever you need.

All-inclusive, swoon-worthy resort that caters to only beach-loving adults.

You're steps away from the beach - the rooms at Ambar Blue are closer to the sands.

Tons of activities - three tennis courts, ping pong, foosball, soccer. Game on.

Reveling in all the facilities & restaurants (except buffets) at the Bahia resort complex.

What We'd Change

Sometimes getting from Ambar to enjoy the rest of the resort is a bit of a trek. Luckily, you can hitch a ride on the train that shuttles guests around.

Why You Should Go

You're just a short 30 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.

You can snorkel in the turquoise ocean or explore them on a kayak or boogie board. One hour a is day free.

Don't miss the ahh-mazing spa. Remember - the kids aren't with you. It's your time.

Pueblo Principe is a little village at the resort with shops, a courtyard for shows, & more.
