Basic but clean

Take this trip for what it is, a basic, no frills all inclusive. The food is meh but my highest priority was cleanliness and it was very clean so we were happy enough and did lots of fun excursions.

Best Vacation Ever

This was the second time going to Sunscape for a girls vacation. We both work in the hospitality industry, so we are overly critical of everything and I have to say....It was absolutely amazing. From the moment we were handed our welcome cocktails, we felt like one of the family. The staff is fabulous and so friendly. The entertainment staff, especially Marbel went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time. My friend Frankie and I are very friendly people so we will talk to anyone, which made it sometimes hard to just relax on the beach, with staff members trying to sell photo shoots or excursions. However, DO do the sunset horseback riding. It's walking distance from the resort and the owner is a woman from Belgium named Sylvie. FABULOUS. But, back to the resort. The dining options were amazing, we ate somewhere different every night for dinner, and reservations are not needed. They also have kayaks and paddle boards available for resort guests, and if you are adventurous I highly suggest you use them. Amazing, amazing trip. Sunscape has a forever guest in me.

Such a great value!

My boyfriend and I booked this and I was a little nervous because of how cheap it was but everything was perfect! If you are flying into Santiago, you DEFINITELY want to add the round trip airport shuttle. It is about an hour and forty minutes away and the shuttle took us directly without any other stops. Our driver even had a sign with our name on it waiting for us right outside of baggage claim. When we arrived to our resort it was beautiful and the front desk gave us a great rundown of everything. A golf cart carried us and our luggage to our room which was a nice touch. The beach is beautiful with clear blue water. There are multiple pools and one has a swim-up bar. There are so many bars and restaurants at the resort which I loved being able to eat somewhere different every night and you never had to walk far to get a drink-even while on the beach. Our room was clean, modern, and looked exactly like the photos. We always had plenty of water bottles (you can't drink or brush your teeth from the faucet) and towels including beach towels so you don't need to pack them. This resort also has a Disco (nightclub) at Castaways beach bar but someways it was dead but if you walk along the beach to the right of our resort you can walk over to the resort nextdoor which is called BlueBay and we drank for free there as well. You can also upgrade to an adults only section of the resort (where they also have topshelf booze). One last thing, you HAVE to book the xTreme adventure package through amstar. it's $125 and you go on an 8 hour tour through this beautiful waterfall where you cliff jump. You also go zip lining through the rain forest, and ride horses. They feed you, provide water, and booze on the way home. It's definitely for the younger or athletically fit crowd because it's a bit intense. That was hands down the best part of our trip. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone my only complaints were that you have to pay for wifi, the long shuttle ride, and the sales people on the beach were SO annoying. I've seen them at every resort I have ever stayed at but it was really bad here. They would even wake me up while I was sleeping on a chair. Other than that, this place is great, you won't regret your booking!

BEAUTIFUL RESORT- WORTH THE MONEY!

THE RESORT WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE ROOMS YOU RESERVE LOOK EXACTLY AS THE PICTURES YOU SEE ON THE WEBSITE. THE POOLS WERE NICE BUT THEY COULD HAVE CLEANED THEM MORE OFTEN THAN THEY DID. MY ONLY RECOMMENDATION IS IF YOU GO TO THIS RESORT FLY INTO THE AIRPORT IN PUERTO PLATA. THE RIDE FROM SANTIAGO AIRPORT TO PUERTO PLATA IS AT LEAST AN HOUR AND A HALF. OVERALL I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESORT TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY
