A great vaca for the best value.

My family of 4 including 2 teenage daughters love to go to this resort. We travel during peak times to the DR because of school vaca time limits. We always get a great vaca spot and value here. The rooms are clean (good shower pressure + hot water), the food is good and plentiful (banquet style) + 3 other resturants (except the japanese because at home we get very good sushi...sushi is not good here). The pool, beaches, ocean are magnificant. Plenty of palm trees, huts, unbrellas to protect u from the sun. ALL the workers are friendly and accommodating. We are casual drinker so its nice to have top shelf liquor when requested. The resort is well maintained, clean and worth the 1.5 hour drive from the main airport of DRQ. Most flights do not go into the Romona airport which is too bad (1/2 hour away). The shows at night are good but not great. Actually, these shows are better than what u get at other resorts ...trust me. The staff offers all kinds of activities ie: beach volleyball, archery, snorkeling, aerobics, games, snorkeling , sainling, etc...u get the picture. For extra $ travel off campus for sailing, off road adventures, etc. Don't forget to leave a nice tip for the girls that clean your room daily. Best regards "Banks Family" New York, NY ps...the consumers are from all nations ie: Italian, French, Russian so be nice to all. Everyone is looking to have a good time.

MI AMORE

We love love loved! this vacation! Absolutely NO complaints, we got to the hotel, with a welcoming drink. We got there super early so our rooms weren't ready. Our bags were taken into a safe spot until our rooms were ready. We headed to the beach and began our vacation! The service was A+. Everywhere we went was a Hola, and a how are you guys doing, do you need anything? The food was good served at all hours of the day it felt like, the drinks were amazing. We loved the shows, went every night, and the discoteca! A+ can't wait to go back next year!

February getaway

Overall, the resort exceeded our expectations. We had never been to an all inclusive resort and were apprehensive about what the experience might be like. The resort, services, food, beach, pool & amenities all were much more that we expected. A co-worker had told us days before the trip that other resorts were better and he would not choose ours to visit again, he had been to the dominican several times. On day three of the trip i asked the Cross twins "What do u think we are missing here that they are doing at the other resorts?! Cuz i can't imagine what that would be!" Flamingo's & peacocks on the grounds, impeccable gardens & pools, snorkeling w tropical fish at the beach, coconuts w rum, really good food & plenty of cocktails, but not in a "spring break" type atmosphere... We would go back without hesitation...thumbs up!!

The beach!

Hope you speak Spanish

The property was just lovely, clean & well-maintained. Rooms were nice sized & very clean. Restaurants were OK but serving utensils at the buffet were scarce. That is a simple thing to fix. Also, mostly Europeans - Germans, Argentine, Russian, and Canadians. Many were rude and pushy. Service was much better if you spoke Spanish. Entertainment staff was friendly and a lot of fun. Loved Pineapple, Bad Boy, & Robin Williams interactions. A shout out of thanks to Brisson, our concierge, who was very helpful. Nice guy. Love Iberostar but won't go here again because of the clientelle. We enjoyed our vacation because we did love the resort.

What's to Love

It's an all-inclusive, everything-you-want escape haven.

Chillaxing with a cocktail at the epic Lighthouse Bar that's right on the beach.

Destressing with a beachfront massage, Turkish bath & other goodies at the spa.

The sand castle building, mini-golf, horseshoes and more for the kiddos.

What We'd Change

The food at this resort is wonderful, but you may not be the only one feasting. The mosquitoes can really go to town here, so be sure to pack repellent.

Why You Should Go

It's about an hour and a half drive from the Santo Domingo airport. Nap time.

At the Aquarium, nearby, you can see aahmazing coral.

Don't miss the snorkeling/scuba at Dressel Divers Center - there's a fee, but worth it.

If you need an extra twin bed for a teen or little one, just ask - you can get one.
