May 10, 2025Tropical escape, perfect for couples or families
This is our first experience in an all inclusive resort and I must say I was very impressed. Costa Rica is such a spectacular setting where dreams is located is a little bit remote, but it adds to the charm as long as you’re willing to take a long bus ride from the airport. The plus is you do get to see some of the countryside volcanoes along the way. We had a swim out room in the Preferred club in building six and it was very comfortable and had a wonderful view of the gardens. The only downside to a first floor room was raccoons frequented our patio every night and were surprisingly loud. I did enjoy the swim pool it allowed for privacy if you didn’t want to walk down to the bigger pools. I thought the selection of food was good and had something for everyone. The World Cafe breakfast selection was incredible and had everything from authentic dishes to every kind of fruit imaginable. My favorite meal was at the French restaurant Bistrot which is not included on the app. The filet mignon was very tasty, and crème brûlée for dessert was absolutely delicious. It also has a nice setting on a patio away from the other restaurants so it feels more private. As far as the Preferred club goes, we really enjoyed going to the Preferred club bar in the evenings after the restaurant. It was cool sophisticated and not crowded. They had many top shelf spirits and it was a nice place to hang out. The Preferred club pools were also very nice. I would recommend renting a pool cabana at least for a day. It adds an extra element of comfort and luxury. I know they’re getting ready to close this resort as they transitioned over to becoming a Marriott property but if you are going before, then it will be in for a treat. Only other feedback I had from other people who have been to other all inclusive is that the poolside drink service is not as quick as some other properties. But there are plenty of bars all around and we did have people come by asking if we wanted a drink, it just was not all the time. There is a little beach restaurant just adjacent to the property. I recommend trying as well if you want a more authentic experience.

Best resort experience
I went to Dreams for my cousin’s wedding last week and it was an amazing time. The best resort food and drinks I’ve ever had! Even the buffet. A lot of variety of food and I really appreciated a lot of Latin inspired foods. Previous reports I’ve been to had food geared moreso for tourists! I like how I had the opportunity to try new things and have the freshest seafood and fruit. The food was maybe better than some food I’ve had in Canada! Smaller resort but not too busy! Not really a party resort, moreso family/relaxing resort. Beach was beautiful, just wish there were more chairs! Excursions off the resort were also very fun and worth it; ATV and Frank the Tank! I hope after their reconstruction under new management of Marriott that the staff and quality will be the same! Would definitely come back!

The trip of a lifetime!
Dreams was a DREAM! We had such a blast here. We did sunset hiking, sunset kayaking, yoga on the beach, massage on the beach, rented ATVS, rented jet skis and did a couple incredible excursions including zip lining, tubing through a gorge, horseback riding, hot springs and a hike at La Leona falls which was breathtaking. The food at Dreams was wonderful, the beach is beautiful, the staff is so focused on customer service and the entertainment and activities were so fun. Dreams made our 1st trip to Costa Rica incredible. We will be back! Pura Vida baby!

Amazing, couldn’t ask for more!
My wife and I had our wedding at Dreams in end of April, we had Yorleni as our planner. She exceeded expectations and so did the resort. Truly incredible, easy process and very accommodating; would recommend for anyone and if doing an event / wedding, be sure to ask for Yorleni! Thank again Yorleni for a once in a life time event!

Honeymoon to remember
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and had the most beautiful time. The grounds and pools are stunning. All the workers were so amazing, they made the experience. The entertainment staff are fabulous - Natalia, Antonio, and Paul all made sure we had a great time and kept us involved in all the activities. Keylor was great as well and helped us with any little thing we needed. All the food was delicious, really great for an all inclusive. We especially enjoyed our hibachi experience with Jason, and the Italian restaurant Portofino. The resort is on a gorgeous beach and close to great ATV tours. There is a ton of wildlife and being able to see monkeys on the terrace was a once in a lifetime experience. The only thing you note is that the floors are extremely slippery, wear shoes and avoid a fall! We cannot thank the resort enough for everything they did to ensure we had a magical honeymoon and we highly recommend coming to this beautiful resort.
