Beautiful beach
Cancun is the place to go. The water was so blue, so beautiful! The people from hotel was super nice, very friendly. Restaurants was nice, good food. I will go back soon. Cancun is clean and easy to go around. But next time I wanna try a different hotel. Too many drunk people, too much party, I saw things in the middle of the day that I couldn't believe!
This resort is OK at best. Everything experienced is average, and you get what you pay for. This is a 24/7 drunk 18-22 year olds paradise. The party begins with loud music by the pool at 10am and continues until 3am the next day. If this is the kind of vacation you are looking for than the Oasis Cancun is the place for you. Do not take young kids there! The food was decent and and the rooms were comfortable enough. Make sure you pay the $7US a night for the safe, they will try to talk you out of it at check in. Overall Cancun is a beautiful spot to vacation but I would pay the few extra hundred dollars for a better experience.

Amazingly Awful
For the price we paid, yes it was definitely worth it. This place is considered the "party hotel" of Cancun. However, for a few hundred dollars more we could've stayed next door and not had so much "rift raft" and a decent meal.
Let's begin with our first night and having an air conditioner leak a waterfall from our ceiling and having maintence not speak any english and had no desire to fix it. Secondly, the meals. If you want to go to a nice restaurant on the resort, you need to book it 24 hours in advance for the following night. The food at the buffets were terrible. They NEED more options!!
Lastly, the rooms are damp and housekeeping is terrible. We ordered room service and they left our plates on the table!! Other than the resort's service, the beaches and pools are amazing. Don't forget your towel card, they will not give you a towel without it.
I wish they also had more options for nightlife, their two bars closed at midnight. It's like they want you to go off the resort to go out for any fun.
If you're just going for the beach, drinks, and sunshine; this place is a great deal.
The pool and beaches were beautiful but the food was awful! Every negative comment made about the food was true and then some! You are led to believe that you have 8 restaurants to pick from but 2 are by reservation only and you have to make the reservation between 7 am and 9 am the day before only, so you only really have 6 places to choose from and these are only open at various times of the day and only have like 1-4 things to choose from on the entire menu. For example we went out for the day and got back late for lunch and only had two places open at that time. One we stood in line for, for 25 minutes and only 2 couples were seated during that time so we went over to Happy Chicken which decided to close 2 hours early. When we got back over to the original place we waited another 35 minutes and were finally seated to choose between bacon cheeseburgers and nachos. Our so called cheeseburger was brought 23 minutes later (long time to wait for only 2 things on the menu) and the "burger" was some kind of mystery meat with poured on nacho cheese and without bacon. When asked, the waiter just said "no bacon ever". I then tried to order the ice cream from the menu (the only dessert listed) and was told "no ice cream since I work here." The next day when we went to the pizzeria we were told they were out of pizza and would be for the entire week. You get the point.
While I have stayed in many places (at all different economic levels) all throughout the mid-west and southern US and have spent time in St. Thomas I have never stayed at a place that had no ice machines anywhere in the entire place. There was no clock in the room, we were only given 2 bath towels on most days and by that I mean TOTALLY, NO wash clothes, NO bathmat, NO hand towels, etc. Some of the workers were rude although most of the people were pleasant enough. And while I realize you don't go on vacation to watch TV, most people do occasionally sit down and "veg" out in front of the TV, we found only 8 channels 7 of which were various cartoon networks in Spanish only and one ESPN of mostly soccer. No news, no movie channel, no just normal television programming. Overall it was a disappointment and I doubt I will do an all inclusive again but definitively not this one.

If you would like to book a package that includes departing from and returning to different airports, one of our sales agents would be able to put that together for you easily. Please call 800.915.2322 and choose the option to book a new reservation, and an agent would be more than happy to assist you!
KristinCC
Not a problem! Simply call one of our experienced destination specialists at 800-915-2322 and they will arrange the airfare from separate cities. There is no additional cost involved when booking directly with an agent and is recommended for more complicated reservations.
ccsusan1
Multiple departure cities are no problem! You just hhave to call our new reservations center and speak with a specialist who can price it out for you at 1.800.915.2322.
JenCC
When I set it up for my cousin and myself, I had to drive to her city so we could both fly out of the same city or it wouldn't give me the discount
sonrae
Hmm, I have never done this, but in speaking to colleagues who have organized reunions it is definitely possible. I suggest speaking to a representative if you do not have much time for planning. Otherwise, to get a great price you will have to plan several months in advance and be patient in selecting your flights. Its easy if you choose not to fly together. Good Luck!!
DsGalGiGi
In this situation, you will want to pick a different resort. Not so much because you are flying out of two different cities, but because everyone would want to pick a different resort.

How much is the youth resort fee?2 answers
My friends are I are traveling to Cancun and are interested in staying at one of the Oasis hotels. There are three of us and we'll each be 24 years old when we travel. I noticed there is a youth resort fee for anyone under the age of 25 and was wondering how much that fee would be? We are not traveling with a student group, in fact we no longer attend school at all, but graduated 2 years ago. How much would we have to pay?
1 year, 13 months ago
Lauren
Unfortunately, the resort does not advise the fee they charge for guests under the age of 25 as it is always subject to change depending on their occupancy level.
MariaCC
You can call cheap Caribbean and talk to an agent. Just tell them what resort you are looking into and they should be able to call the resort and get details for you.

DanielleCC

yes, but the alcohol is pretty cheap

Hey Sherrie, You take the all Inclusive package then yes all of your drinks are included,, It feel great to go up to the bar and not have to hand over any cash,, LOL
TRISHnTINO
Yes
richiegtt
This is a difficult question to answer. Technically yes, all drinks at restaurants are included in the price. However, whether those drinks contain any actual alcohol is up for debate.
HatedOasis
Yes everything drink we ordered was included we did not have to pay for any drinks.
tapper
yes! There is beer (Dos XX), wine, mixed drinks, and shots. The liquor is not top shelf, but does the trick! ALL INCLUDED! you only tip if you want to.
Jessica1985
Yes they are, but don't expect them to have every kind of alcohol, just the popular ones.

What is the price range for the youth fee?2 answers
I know someone else asked what the fee is and the answer: the fee is subject to change.
I just wanted to know if there was a range that we could expect.

You can expect the youth fee to be around $25-$80+ per night per person (youth). They can vary depending on certain specials running. If you need further assistances you may contact us at 1.800.915.2322.
DanielleCC
I was told $500.

is tranport from the airport to the resort included?9 answers
11 months ago
Jarrmie
The roundtrip airport transfers are an additional charge and can be added during the booking process.
MariaCC
IS INCLUDED IF YOU ADD IT TO YOUR PACKAGE FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE. I THINK IS CHEAPER IF YOU GET A TAXI AT THE AIRPORT THEY CHARGE LIKE 350 PESOS ONE WAY. RATHER THAN PAYING 25 DOLLARD PER PERSON WHEN YOU ADD IT TO YOUR PAKAGE.
CONSE12
Transport is not included. We rented a car after seeing that a taxi is $20 per person each direction, and this way we could travel to the different Mayan ruins and such.
Anonymous
No, You need to contract that while you are booking your trip or take a taxi
Denvertraveler
No
richiegtt
Yes, transport is included. However you will find that the airport is a much nicer place to stay than Oasis. So perhaps it would be better to not be included.
HatedOasis
Our transportation was included in the package. Be careful when you get to the airport they will try to sell you everything and suck you into cheap tours and going to timeshare presentations.
tapper
yes transportation to and from is provided
coolmom
Depends on the plan you get but our wasn't. The taxi there was $45 USD but I probably could have gotten a better price if I worked at it. We only paid $35 USD for a taxi back to the airport from Oasis by just walking out the front door and picking the first taxi in line. The bus system is great by the way but doesn't go to the airport.

Ringgold Georgia
yes, but there different all-inclusive levels, we found out. If you have the low level, you cannot eat at several restaurants or be served at several bars.
Tvlr
The resort's all inclusive plan does include unlimited food in the price.
MariaCC
Yes the price of food is included
richiegtt
yes, food is included at most of the eateries, although there are also a few restaurants at the resort that you have to pay for.
emsimm
Food at one of the un-airconditioned restaurants is included. Food generally takes 1-2 hours to be served by an unattentive staff. It also generally is not edible. "Alcoholic" drinks may as well be fruit juice. Room service is not included.
HatedOasis
You can not eat in all of the restaurants some you will have to pay on your own.
tapper
yes! everything is included! Unless you want to eat at a restaurant outside of your wrist band...meaning that the normal package is for a "purple" wrist band. This includes the buffet, the sports bar, and two restaurants (Mexican and italian) If you wanted to eat at the seafood or Japanese place you have to pay.
Jessica1985
Yes, it's an all inclusive resort. You will be giving a wristbank upon arrival.
CheapNYC
yes, but most of the food is under seasoned.

It is a $1.00 USD bus ride from Senor Frogs, not far, but further than you would want to walk.

What is the Difference between the "Grand Oasis " and the "Oasis"?4 answers
1 month ago
Washington State
The Grand Oasis and Oasis are 2 separate resorts, however, they are located on the same complex. The Grand properties are the nicest within the Oasis chain.
MariaCC
Grand oasis has access to all of the resturaunts and bars, And has nicer rooms. Oasis is limited to the resturaunts you can eat at.
piguy4778
There is a difference in cost. I stayed at the Oasis. The rooms are smaller and have fewer extras. Also you have access to more restaurants and bars with the upgrade.
jcook
HUGE difference!! Go to Grand, they have WAY more options to chose from and much nicer.
