Best Vacation Yet

This was the first time I booked with Cheap Caribbean, and I must say they made things very easy! Reading other peoples reviews I was a bit scared to book with them but I did any way. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Riu Palace Antillas, which is an all inclusive adults only resort. We didn't want to be bothered with kids so we felt this was our best option. When we got to the resort, check in went smooth and our room had a perfect view of the beach. Our room and bathroom was very clean so that put me at ease. Access to the beach from the pool area is only steps away! The beach is out of this world! The only problem I had was that the wind was blowing so hard that it would whip sand around, which hurt a little. The staff members as well as the entertainers near the pool area were so great! They really made staying here that much more enjoyable. There are a few tents on the beach that are worth checking out if you want to go on an excursion. Its cheaper to book with them, then inside the resort. You just have to bargain with them a bit. When it came time to dinner my boyfriend and I only enjoyed the steakhouse and the buffet. The other three restaurant didn't have many options. Also, i'm not a fan of lamb and duck and that seemed to be on the menu a lot. The buffet was pretty good, so we didn't really mind having dinner there. I will absolutely be coming back! I could not get enough of Aruba!!

A week of paradise!!

We had never booked with Cheap Caribbean before this. We made our reservations at the Riu Antilles (adults only) from reading others reviews. Let me start be saying this. We were a bit leary about it. After booking our trip to Aruba we did receive a confirmation from Cheap Caribbean saying everything was booked. On the reservation there is a RECORD # that will take care of everything with your flights there and home again. We did not have one problem at all. We flew American Airlines and it was great service. When arriving in Aruba, we paid for the transfer to and from the airport. DePalm tours did the transfer and they were great. Well worth the money paid. We arrived at the Riu Antilles and were welcomed with a welcome drink. There were no issues with the reservations at all. Our room was very nice, beautiful view of the pool and beach area. The all inclusive really means all inclusive. Leave your wallet in your safe in your room. It's endless drinks and food. We scheduled several day trips to see the island and the attractions on the island. Between horse back riding tour, fishing, snorkeling tour and a 6 hour island tour we say a lot of the island from many different ways. Aruba is a very safe island. We were very comfortable there. What was very nice is that Aruba excepts American money and our experience was they have American money in return. The Araubian people are multi lingual so everyone spoke English. I would recommend the Riu Antilles and Cheap Caribbean to anyone who asks me. We can't wait to go back again.

Love Riu Palace Antillas (Adults-Only)

The entire facility is beautiful and clean. The people are friendly and very accommodating. We ate our meals at all restaurants in the facility and always had a great meal with great atmosphere. The employees are fun and interact well with visitors. We will definitely go back! Love Aruba AND the Riu Palace Antillas!

Good choice for the money

There are plenty of goods and a few bars to this resort. The dining options were actually really good. waiting in line for an hour to be seated at one of the a la carte restaurants wasn't a popular idea. You loose 2 1/2 hours of your day for dinner. The buffet on my the other hand was incredible; great quality, plenty of choices, with quick and efficient service. The overall service iswhat I would consider subpar at this location.. specifically the front desk. Check in was dull, I would expect over the top service to welcome you to the resort right? Good luck getting a smile..checkout was the same, turn in your keys and see you later. No thank you for staying, no how was your stay, how was Aruba..we had a few issues with our suite and the front desk never really cared to send maintenance up. We had to go down 4 times to finally get it fixed. The front desk almost looks annoyed every time you go down to ask a question about the area or resort.. definitely the biggest drawback at the resort.. the rooms are outdated but fairly clean. Maintenance was definitely needed in our suite for fairly obvious items but cannot speak for other rooms. The beach is clean, convenient, but can get pretty crowded during the day. The hotel has a car rental booth downstairs, spa, and misc shops that really carry many items that you may need. I heard from other guests that this is not a typical Riu Resort though. A couple guests that we met are loyal to the brand and shared similar experiences at this location. Overall, the trip was good. I think we would of came back thrilled had the resort part of the vacation was up to par. The island is incredible, the locals are super friendly, and the sites are gorgeous.
