Average Resort

The Divi Aruba All Inclusive was a very beautiful resort, although the organization and customer service was not all that impressive. I have been on multiple all inclusive trips but my boyfriend has never been on one. The beaches and pools were very well kept and relaxing. You have to wake up around 8 to get a spot anywhere. The food was fantastic for a resort, my boyfriend agreed. The service within the restaurants were great and people were very friendly and accommodating. When we got to the hotel I expected a run down of how everything would go, but we did not get that. The lady at the front desk explained to us what times the restaurants were open and that was it. When we asked about different excursions the ladies in charge of that and the making of reservations were rude and seemed displeased when anyone talked to them. They did not make the excursions seem fun and/ or worth it. My boyfriend and I ended up doing activities outside of the resort where we found cheaper/ had reviews. The bartenders were not all that friendly, but did make a strong drink which I can not complain about. The shows that were hosted were nice but not amazing. The stage area was very small so not everyone could watch and almost everyone had to stand in front of one another to even see. Over all the next time I decide to go to Aruba I will look for a different resort. My boyfriend who had never been to a resort like this before/ never out of the country agreed that the service was not up to great standards.

Great Value

The room was nice, but upkeep was mediocre, with some loose fixtures, etc. However, with the gorgeous, well-groomed beach just steps away (literally), why would I be in the room? On the beach, there were plenty of chairs and thatched cabanas/umbrellas, and lots of open space, too. The food options are pretty good, but be warned that the restaurants require reservations. Reservations can be booked 2 days in advance starting at 8AM, meaning that you'll have limited choices for the first and second nights you're there, since many dinner slots will already have been booked by other patrons before you've even arrived at the resort. The bars were plentiful, and the bartenders were all extremely friendly. Drinks were a bit weak/watered, but since it's all-inclusive, that didn't really matter...and they were always happy to pour them heavy upon request. Included amenities like kayaks and snorkeling gear were a huge plus, and the nightly entertainment was a lot of fun. I'd definitely go back!

Fantastic resort

I can honestly say that a week here just wasn't enough. From an incredibly accommodating staff, fantastic dining options, pool and beach bars, live entertainment every night, and a variety of activities to do during the day, this resort went above and beyond to make you feel right at home from the minute you get there until the minute you leave. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for getaway to Aruba.

Disappointed overall

-When booking our vacation everything seemed top of the line. Unfortunately things started to go downhill once we reached the resort. We upgraded our room for an ocean view based on the pictures on divi's website; and the resort pulled a bait and switch. The room was fairly run down, with stains from a leaky AC unit; and our "ocean view" was actually several cacti in front of the pool area. After nearly an hour of dealing with the reception area, we were placed in the rear of the resort. Our view was overlooking the pools, 60 yards of rooftops... And then the ocean in the distance. -The buffets were a BIG disappointment. Most of the meals were the same the entire week with only minor substitutions, and the food was only a 2 out of 5 at best. Sadly there were a LOT of flies inside the buffet area each day; landing on you and your food. -The restaurants were better, but required a reservation two days in advance and despite never being filled, (they were typically only filled to 1/3 capacity) we were told multiple times that the restaurants were filled for the night. The resort only lets you make one reservation at a time, so you are unable to book for the entire week. -The beaches were small but ellegant, though they need a lot more beach chairs. -While the service was fantastic, the bars only open at 11; so you can't even get a soda before then while lying by the pool. -My girlfriend sustained a serious injury on one of the excursions offered by the resort (this was a complete accident, and NOT the fault of the resort!) but we were unable to dial a 1-800 number to contact our health care provider. After speaking with the front desk, we were told that they would let us call and then bill our room for the charges. -The "90 minute presentation" offered by the resort in order to "show you the other divi properties for future vacations" was actually a 3 hour sales presentation in which we were pushed to buy a portion of the divi properties; similar to a timeshare. -The nightly entertainment was definitely the highlight of the trip. -Overall I would NOT recommend this resort chain. You are better off staying somewhere else for the price.

What We'd Change

The resort is older and can seem a little dated in certain areas, but the rustic charm only seems to add to the rich character of this longstanding getaway.

Why You Should Go

Considering Divi Aruba All-Inclusive is a stone's throw away from sister resort Tamarijn, what more could you possibly want than getting two resorts for the price of one?

Divi Aruba All-Inclusive: Get Ready for Links, Clinks and Drinks

Isn't it time you traded in your Monday blues for a "Hey, mon' day at Divi All-Inclusive Aruba? This all-inclusive resort is located on the pristine sands of Druif coastline. The Links at Divi Aruba at sister resort Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, is a nine-hole wonder by leading golf architects Litten/Viola and snakes its way along the Caribbean coastline and offers ocean views at every turn. Meticulously kept, this lagoon-laced course is a must-play course for avid golfers. No need to worry about lunch, as the clubhouse hosts two restaurants. Mulligan's Golf Cafe offers casual fare, while Windows on Aruba dazzles with flavor and presentation.

Sun-up, or sundown, guests of Divi Aruba All Inclusive can visit Alhambra Casino, which will keep you wide-eyed and bushy-tailed into the wee hours of the morning. Fear not, dedicated hedonist! As far as drinks go, they're on the house at Divi All Inclusive Aruba. Lie on a lounge chair next to any one of three fresh-water pools, or lounge on the abundantly shaded beach and let the drinks keep coming from the open-air Pelican Terrace Bar, sidled up right next to the pool, or the inviting beachfront Sandpiper Bar, if you opt for the sand.

And just in case you're struck by a wash of wanderlust, meander your unhurried self on over to sister resort Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive for full access to an additional four restaurants and three bars also included in your package.
