Lacking in several key areas
Gorgeous place. The room was wonderful - but make sure you're tall. I am 5'7" and could just about see my head in the bathroom mirror. The bed you need to jump up to get on - they should provide a stool for shorter people.
Service was not very good for such an expensive/exclusive resort. When we arrived they greeted us and took us around but neglected to tell us to sign up for the included outings and spa treatments immediately. We were there for 5 days/4 nights and they could not accomodate us for the catamaran sunset cruise. When asking for a drink take into consideration that the waiters have to walk a mile to the one bar that makes drinks no matter which restaurant youre in. It's sort of strange. The front desk had no change of US dollars.
The yoga teachers were very inexperienced. Maids didnt come until 5pm everyday.
Food was good and beach was gorgeous. The spa was wonderful and very well run.

For the second year we spent a week at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita in Cancun, Mexico. We don't normally repeat vacation locations as there are so many places in the world but this place is worth at least two trips.
During the quick trip from the airport you can shake off all the travel dust with a glass of champagne offered to you by the best chauffeurs! Checking in at your room gets the vacation going on the right foot.
Tough decision - head for the beach, pool, spa or a bite to eat. We opted for the pool and were greeted by Miguel who kindly remembered us from our previous visit. Throughout your stay both he and Antonio will make your pool side visits a treat!
Meals at any of the restaurants are wonderful. Don't hesitate to ask questions about the menu or be afraid to try something new. Just relax and expect delicious food served at a pace that is conducive to conversation. Cesar, Francisco, Tonya and Rafael will take great care of you at Kaax!
Two things that you won't want to miss - Be certain to visit Alfonso at the Marina and take the snorkeling trip. There are more fish than you can imagine. The boat trip is less than 10 minutes and they will be certain all your gear works properly. Ambrorsio will guide you and be certain you see all the reef has to offer.
The other don't miss is the Thalasso Center and Spa. Ask for Lulu and you will be treated like royalty. If you have never been to spa, don't feel intimidated just go in and ask for the welcome tour and you will discover the center of Zoetry's tranquility.
Room service is a blessing especially if you enjoy early morning coffee on your private porch with a view of the ocean, in a plush rope!
There is so much to say about Zoetry but for sure it is the people who make this a wonderful place. It is every bit as beautiful as the photos!

A diamond in Mexico
My husband and I went to Zoetry for our honeymoon and can't say enough about the hotel and staff! Everything was exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and a pleasure. They did whatever they could to make our stay perfect. The food was healthy and fantastic. Both pools were wonderful and the room was exactly as the website portrays.
It is a small hotel, but it never felt crowed or loud. The other guests were extremely nice.
We would give this resort a ten if we could!

rocky beach??11 answers
my husband & I are traveling to the Zoetry resort in Riviera Maya in April and were wondering if the beach/ocean is swimmable or if it is very rocky???? Please advise! Any info you offer would be tremendous!

I have not been to that resort put the Rivera Maya resorts typically have very rocky beaches, most of them you cannot swim in the ocean, unless they have a cove built.

To answer your quistion, It depends on what part of Riviera Maya you are.. I've been to a part that the ocean was beauitful and it wasn't rocky, you could deff swim in it.. But at the same time I've also been to deff. resort that the beach/ocean was rocky and not swim able.. So I guess its a quistion to goggle up about the resort's ocean front..

For the $$$ I am assuming you are paying for the Zoetry, I would hope it is a swimmable beach. Check out tripadvisor.com or Debbiescarribean.com...they have great reviews.

The beach is totally swimmable, with a fine sandy beach. There is however some seaweed as the beach of the resort is located 500m from a natural reef.

The beach really isn't that rocky, but there is a bit of sea grass.
I'm a huge fan of the beach, but found the salt water pool and main pool to be the best that I have ever encountered.

The resort's beach has a very powdery sand. It is not rocky at all. My husband likes to run on the beach and the resorts along the beach had a lot of seaweed from a recent storm. I used the treadmill at the hotel! I went swimming in the ocean several days. I wish I had brought a raft for floating!
We had a perfect time!

The weather in April averages between 75 to 85 degrees with minimal rain. However, there are always circumstances where there could be more rainfall. The rainy season for Mexican weather in Riviera Maya usually starts in May and runs right through until October. The air conditioning in rooms usually are able to be adjusted.
