Beginning on December 24, 2009 Xpu-Ha Palace became Pet Friendly! (Restrictions Apply!)

Amenities and Pet Services Amenities and services included:
- Pets will receive a Welcome treat and water upon arrival at the resort.
- Special bedding and two bowls, one for water and the other for food, will be provided in each room for the pets during their stay.
- An additional litter box, pooper-scooper and scratcher will be provided for rooms with cats.
- Two meals will be provided to each pet daily depending on the selection provided by Palace Resorts and according to the pet's age and weight.
- The green areas designated for the sanitary use of pets will provide guests the special equipment for cleaning up after their pets.
- Pets and their owners can enjoy the Pet Club during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, where they will be able to play and exercise together in an intimate and secure area under the supervision of expert personnel.
- A relaxing grooming session (15-20 minutes) will be provided once at the end of the pet's stay (subject to availability).

At the Palace Shop guests will find a selection of toys, gifts and souvenirs for their pets, as well as snacks and treats.

Rules and Regulations for Guests Traveling with Their Pets General Policies:
1. Pets must be under the supervision of their owners at all times.
2. Guests are responsible for any harm or damages caused by their pet to a third party, public property or to any other facility of the resort. The liable party will be charged all expenses incurred to cover the costs of these damages.
3. Pets must comply with local legislation requirements from the state of Quintana Roo.
4. Pets must wear an identification collar and leash at all times, with the exception of when the pet is inside the guestroom where they cannot be left unattended.
5. Guests are responsible for cleaning all waste left by their pets on resort property.
6. Pet owners are responsible for making sure their pets do not disturb other guests.
7. Guests must contact pet services to coordinate the schedule of the food delivery for their pets.
8. The care service in the Pet Club is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (subject to availability).
9. 1st pet is free, 2nd pet has an additional charge of $50.00

I. Pets in Guestrooms
- A maximum of 2 pets are allowed per guest room.
- Each guest room will have special bedding for dogs or cats.
- A litter box, pooper-scooper and a scratcher will be provided for rooms with cats.
- Pets should be kept in a locked cage when left alone in the room.
- Guests are responsible for any harm or damages caused by the pet to the bed linens, property or any staff member.
- The resort's designated sanitary areas for pets will be the interior gardens between the villas where they are staying. In this area, scoopers and plastic bags will be provided, as well as bin containers for the disposal of waste.
- Guests must hang the precaution sign "Pets Inside" outside on the doorknob indicating to the staff personnel the presence of pets inside the guestrooms.
- Guests must supervise their pets while on the terrace of the guestrooms and must never be left alone.
- No food, utensils or items belonging to the pet are permitted in the terrace area.
- Guests must contact Express Service to arrange for a convenient time for servicing their room.
- Pet sitting services can be requested at an extra cost.

II. Pets in Public Areas
- Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and under the supervision of their owner.
- Guests with pets should remain in the pedestrian areas, paths and roads indicated and respect all restricted areas.
- No pets are allowed in any of the restaurants, bars, pool area, beach, estuary, cenotes, gym, as well as in the deer exhibition area or aviary.

III. Using internal transportation with pets
- The use of internal transportation is available for pets under the supervision and control of their owners, and must be kept on a leash at all times. The owner will be responsible for keeping the pet's behavior and actions under control.
- Guests are not allowed to ride bicycles with pets.
- If requested, pets can be transported by the bell staff to the room and back upon check-in and check-out accompanied by their owner at all times.

IV. Restrictions Domesticated Pets (cats and dogs)
- Maximum number of pets per room: 2
- Small pets must be at least 5 months old
- Maximum weight limit per pet: 55 lbs
- Guest must present the pet's vaccination records at time of check in
- Certificate of a complete physical exam by the veterinarian
- Guest must bring a pet carrier/kennel
- Well behaved pets, not aggressive ones
- The use of a muzzle is at the pet owner's discretion
*Important: We suggest guests traveling with pets to Xpu-Ha Palace contact the resort one month prior to arrival in case of any questions or special needs the guest may have. The resort will try to make all the necessary arrangements (example: food type or any special needs the animal may have) to care for the pets.

144 air-conditioned deluxe guest rooms all with double Jacuzzis and a private balcony or terrace in bungalow-styled buildings that come equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, in-room safe, coffee maker, hair dryer, mini bar, and ceiling fan. Two-story bungalows scattered throughout the grounds. Bungalows are brightly colored and have steeply sloped, Mayan-style thatched roofs. Spacious decks are furnished with hammocks, tables, and chairs. The upper suites have double jacuzzis, bathroom with two-person stall shower with stylish decor. Four rooms for the physically challenged are available on request and located in the Superior Deluxe Ground Bungalow room category.



Golf package includes unlimited rounds of golf per adult, per stay, transportation to and from the courses (Playacar Spa & Golf Club, Riviera Cancun Golf & Resorts and Moon Spa & Golf Club), beverages, snacks and shared cart. Unused rounds of golf due to weather conditions or for any other reason are non-refundable. No rain checks will be provided. Golf package applies to guests paying the adult rate. Children ages 13 - 17 must be booked as adults to receive the golf package
