Sunset is close, so you hurry out to the balcony with a glass of Merlot. Dramatic reds and oranges already dominate the Caribbean sky as you slip into your private Jacuzzi beside your sweetie at Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club & Resort. The ambiance of this resort on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten and St. Martin is unsurpassed. Surprisingly, this bit of Eden is close to everything.

Horrible ...just the worst experience
I reviewed this on their website too. everything went wrong because the staff is clueless and the hotel rooms where we stayed were outdated and just extremely badly maintained. Sure they promise a jacuzzi on the balcony but i didnt dare to enter it or my wife.
The jacuzzi has the water in it from every visitor there as there is no way to drain it and refill it ...so total waste unless you want some rash or dissease on you.
rooms were just horrible, cold and dirty even after being cleaned. the rattan furniture had the paint coming off of it. I expected the hotel promised not the motel that is Sapphire. What a deceptive name and chain. DONT GO! pick the next cheapest alternative ...it cant be this bad.
And we did love st. maartin, so its not the island is the hotel.
The hotel was terrific, and room very comfortable and airy. The hotel staff was great. The pool-side bar had wonderful happy hour specials. There wasn't much of a beach at the hotel itself, but it was only a short ride/walk to great beaches and restaurants. We had a wonderful time in St. Martin and would go back in a heartbeat if there weren't so many other wonderful islands to explore in the Caribbean. Our favorite place is still Old San Juan.....Cheers, C-D

St Maarten
I love the island, have been going there for years. I don't mind staying at Sapphire Beach Resort because we really don't spend much time there, there are so many beaches and much shopping, and the food in the restaurants is great. So Sapphire is a place to rest our heads. If they would only stop with the French TV and tune into American TV, that would be great, as all the other places have American TV service. We keep returning to the island because we love it there.
Female receptionist staff has very BAD ATTITUDE, judgmental, unfriendly and MEAN person. I have nothing nice to say about this lady. The only two nice person in that hotel is the young male receptionist and the older gentlemen in the rent a car. The HOUSE KEEPING personnel USES your room to watch TV , VIDEO and warm up their lunch.

I am a recovering alchoholic and my sister is scheduling her wedding at your resort in January 2013. I want to go but I also would like to know if there are any Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in the area. Thank you!

Hotel Description
Watch Caribbean Sunsets from Your Balcony Jacuzzi
Sunset is close, so you hurry out to the balcony with a glass of Merlot. Dramatic reds and oranges already dominate the Caribbean sky as you slip into your private Jacuzzi beside your sweetie at Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club & Resort. The ambiance of this resort on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten and St. Martin is unsurpassed. Surprisingly, this bit of Eden is close to everything.
The hotel's Cupecoy Beach is charmingly secluded at the bottom of a cliff. You reach this private haven through a series of descending stairways that open onto a sandy beach with limestone outcroppings. This spot is great for snorkeling and swimming, but if you simply want to soak up the sun, the resort pool is the choice of most guests.
Every night is different at the open-air, poolside Sapphire Caf?. Like to sing? Then Wednesday's karaoke party and Caribbean buffet are made-to-order for you. If your kids won't eat anything but pizza, Thursday's two-for-one pizza party gives your wallet some relief. And who doesn't love the free glass of wine at Friday's dinner?
The spa at Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club & Resort is the perfect place to pamper yourself. Unwind with a massage or aromatherapy, or relieve your stress with acupressure. Or you can simply get ready for a special night out with a manicure and pedicure, or have your hair styled by Marie-Antoinette, who also serves as the appointed hairstylist to Holland's Queen!
Stop by the resort's information desk to arrange island tours or your favorite water sport adventures. Be sure to set aside time for shopping. This unique island in the Caribbean, Dutch St. Maarten, and St. Martin on the French side, offer a unique glimpse into two cultures, including shopping. In Philipsburg, on the Dutch side, the renowned Front Street boasts one mile of duty-free shopping.
