This waterfront hotel is the perfect base to enjoy St Thomas. The Windward Passage, formerly Holiday Inn St. Thomas, is centrally located overlooking the picturesque harbor of Charlotte Amalie, one block from the renowned duty-free shops; restaurants; nightlife and entertainment. Across the street are the inter-island ferries and seaplanes for visits to other islands. Free van service whisks guests to and from stunning Magens Bay Beach.

This Trip was awesome!!!
Natives were polite and hospitable. Hotel right in the center of town, very convenient if you don't want to drive.
Staff most helpful. We were caught in a hurricane and the hotel was one of the few on the island with a generator. During the Hurricane and the days following we had air conditioning and electricity. During the worst of the storm most people gathered in the dining room and were offered a buffet dinner and Duane from Admiralty Diving, located on the premises played his guitar and sang. I would definitely recommend staying here. Cheap Caribbean was also very helpful in extending our stay and with travel arrangements when our flight home was cancelled due to the storm.

Room Information
140 guest rooms and 11 junior suites. Each spacious, comfortable guest room is attractively decorated with pretty, modern furniture, fully equipped to meet the needs of today's travelers. All rooms feature private balconies and picture-window views of St. Thomas Harbor or the city of Charlotte Amalie. Guestrooms are decorated with whitewashed rattan furnishings, floral bedspreads, and tropical art and are all equipped with cable TV, refrigerator, in-room safe, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and free high-speed wireless DSL.
Provides a great base to do some serious exploring of Charlotte Amalie, and there is an electronic casino here as well

The hotel is across from the sea, but there is no beach. There is a free shuttle to Magens Bay Beach
