Great Purchase
Fabulous resort. Easy to walk around and visit other areas of the island.
The resort itself is very nice and the pool area is super. The beach area is smallish and pilapa's are very close to each other and was very crowded. One thing we were disappointed with is the selection of restaurants available on the meal plan for dinners. Breakfast there was superb, however. Wish we had know that just up the street, a very short walk, there are shopping and a lot of dinner options that are a much better value than purchasing the dinner plan. We only purchased 3 dinners, and were very glad we didn't purchase the entire week.
My husband and I have been to Aruba over 15 times and this was our 1st stay at the Westin. The heavenly beds are truely very nice, the best thing about the room. The hotel was clean, although the rooms were really nothing to brag about. The picture on the site is much more appealing than the room it self. There are better beaches too. To get a cabanna you could reserve one ahead of time for $37.00 to $25.00 for the back row. This included fruit and water delivered to your cabanna. If there were any left, you had to get in line about 7am to get a free hut. The staff was excellent. I will say that they were all wonderful. Frank the bellman was terrific and friendly. There are no frodges in the room, unless you pay extra. alot of the other hotels have this for free. Also no vending machines for pop or snacks. My first day at the bar I was shocked to find out one Pina Colada was $9.50. This is more than alot of the hotels also. So if you go, wait for happy hour. I would probably not stay here again as I think there are better choices there. Do go to the new Chinese place Yen He or something like that at the shopping area on the 2nd level. Their food is FABULOUS!!!

Can I get the same rate that is being advertised now for the same hotel and number of days1 answer
It appears that your specials are $100 cheaper now than when I booked to Aruba for 5 days. Can I get this rate? I am not traveling until July so I thought I booked in plenty of time to get the best deal. Do you have a policy that if the rates are reduced, I get that same rate? Please advise.

At the time you booked your trip you received the lowest price available on that day. A price difference of $100 is probably due to the fluctuations in airfare.Cheap Caribbean purchases your tickets at the time of booking to protect you from any increases in airfare. Unfortunately we are not able to refund you the difference in price if your airfare goes down. The only way to secure that cheaper price would be to cancel your current air and purchase your flights at todays rates. The airline penalties would exceed the $100 savings in the price of the ticket. Cheap Caribbean does have a Price Match policy which states that if you find the identical trip (hotel, room category, same flights and any extras booked) for less on one of our online competitors we will refund you the difference plus $1 as long as it is submitted within 24 hours of booking.

Room Information
Each of 481 guestrooms feature a private balcony, Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath, air-conditioning, hair dryer, telephone, high-speed Internet access, in-room safe, coffee maker, satellite color TVs with in-room movies, WiFi in all rooms, and refreshment center. The decor reflects the unhurried lifestyle of the Caribbean with traditional amenities that value comfort and convenience above all. All rooms are non-smoking.
The hotel has recently gone through a top to bottom renovation, so all rooms are now up to the Starwood brand standard. They even renovated the pool and pool decking. The hotel has some great restaurants, bars and amazing views from the higher floor rooms. My personal favorite restaurant is Blossoms, a great asian / japanese restaurant.
What We'd Change
It is windy on the beach, but, it's the Caribbean wind after all!
Why You Should Go
The hotel definitely offers a great Starwood Westin experience. With all the renovations, this hotels offers in my opinion, the best value luxury product on Palm Beach. There is a nice casino and good nightly entertainment. Try the sunset dining right on the beach. It's very romantic and the wife loved it.
