Great value and location
The hotel is just the right size. Large enough to offer variety, yet small enough to get around and know the staff. The food was good, the service was good and the beach even better!! Close to 5th Avenue, which offers music, entertainment, food and shopping.

Viva wyndham
Our room wasn't ready and we got twin beds instead of a single bed. The rooms are not what we expect from a Wyndham hotel. The front desk employees are not helpful. The food was ok. The entertainment employees were a lot of fun and very friendly. The beach was nice. The pool was just ok.

This was truly a wonderful experience for me and my family. I forgot about time and the convenience of the resort was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the food was quite good.
I was a lttle disappointed with the beer selection, actually it was Dos Equis only.
Highly recommend, great value.
I really enjoyed my vacation at Viva Wyndham Azteca. It is really the staff working at the hotel that made my vacation so enjoyable. They were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel was small enough so they knew a lot of the guests by their first name. There were a lot of activities to choose from too (yoga, darts, dancing, Spanish classes, bingo just to mention a few). Their evening shows were also good. The pool was always clean and never too crowded and the beach was beautiful. Another plus of a smaller hotel was that we did not have to wake up at 7:00 am just to get the spots in the shade. There were always spots available. The food at the buffet was ok; there was always something to choose from. There were specialty restaurants there too, but I did not try any of them. Overall, I think that this is a great hotel. It is like 5 minutes from Playa del Carmen by cab. There is a lot of great bars in the city. We went bar hopping one night and had a blast! I would definitely recommend this hotel; it would be money well spent.

No the beach is not rocky. The beach is beautiful white sand. I definitely enjoyed digging my toes into the sand!

Very rocky. It was terrible and locals are a pain. tried to sell us junk and drugs

The hotel is situated right on the beach. you have to step on rocks to get into the water.

The beach has a few rocks, but the sand of Jamaica is very nice. It is kind of powdery like Florida but the grains are a little larger. You will really like it.

No it's not rocky at all, just white sand and beautiful blue water! We found out that the Playa del Carmen area has some of the most beautiful beaches in that area.
