Not everyone has the good fortune of living right on the beach, so instead of making the trek with the kids every weekend, just head for your home away from home at Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa in Mexico. Cancun has never been more family-friendly than it is at this resort, removed from the Hotel Zone's rowdy parties. Fun activities and relaxing amenities are just a few reasons why families pick this elegant all inclusive resort.

Pros and Cons to the resort
This location was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The beaches, pools and landscape were immpecable. I did not like the fact that I had an all inclusive package and others did not. I had to wear a plastic braclet and then wait to sign a bill at the end of each meal or bar tab which was annoying when you weren't paying for anything anyway. I also had to ask for room towels and mini bar service several tmes before anyone took care of it. I just felt they were slow for service in all aspects. This location is about 35-40 minutes away from anything and offers absolutely no night life. If you are looking for anything else to do other than lay in the sun this might not be the place for you. This place literally shuts down by 8 pm.

Great Short Winter Get-away!
Took a girls only trip for 4 nights at the Villa Del Palmar Cancun. The resort will be beautiful and already is quite impressive with the huge pool with fountains, multiple hot tubs and expansive pool side area. Since only first phase was completed (opened Dec 2010), there were only 2 restaurants open not incuding the beach grill; but that seemed to suit us fine. The beach area was beautiful, but water cloudy and filled with seaweed at the shoreline. I think since the hotel is newly opened and word isn't out yet, we were able to get lounge chairs on the beach without difficulty, though there seemed to be plenty. The staff were all very friendly and quick with service throughout our 4 night stay. There was only one occassion when pool side service was pretty slow. Not sure what that was about. There were plenty of adult activities available daily but we spent most of our time on the beach or lounging by the pool. There were very few activities for children which would make it difficult for families with young ones. Even my 16yo son would have been bored. When the resort is complete, they may offer more children's/teen activities. The room was gorgeous! The main downside was the continuous construction at the resort. We were hoping to awake in the mornings with our sliding doors open to hear the sounds of the ocean; instead we heard multiple loud construction noises beginning in the a.m. on through to at least 5pm. Saturday they only worked a half day and Sunday, luckily, they were off. That one quiet morning on our balcony was perfect. Wish we could have had more of that. This is why my overall rating was 4 palms instead of 5 since the construction will cease one day. I would recommend this resort to friends. Don't know that I'll return as I prefer smaller more intimate resorts. Once this second phase is complete, this resort is going to be huge and could be fun if you like the larger resort. All in all it made for a great winter time blues getaway.
Finding a taxi to the resort was a little difficult. No one knew what resort we were talking about. I think it's because it is so new. Construction was noisy but we didn't mind. We were part of the all inclusive. It was great. Both restaurants were great. Don't be in a hurry. It took forever to get our check to sign for our room. Everyone was very helpful and aware of our needs.
Overall really liked this resort. It is only 2 years old and as such they are really promoting their other hotels in the chain and push a hotel "tour" when you first check-in. It's not really a time-share thing but has the same feel. Any time we tried to get help from the concierge they tried to sign us up for the tour. That was pretty annoying. Other wise the rooms were great, all with ocean views. The pools were warm, clean and awesome. Our kids loved em. The restaurants were the best we have had at an all inclusive. There is one restaurant that does require closed toed shoes so heads up to bring shoes, even tennies work. The beach was messy because there was a tropical storm a couple weeks before. The water was nice and you could snorkel rich from the beach. Saw lots of fish, sting little baby rays and conch shells. The hotel has sea kayaks and stand up boards that are free to rent which was a blast with the kids. Isla Mujeres is an island right across the way and that is worth a day trip. The ferry leaves every couple hours and it is a 5 minute beach walk from the hotel. It is $3.5 US and you need to buy the ticket an hour in advance. There is a Dolphin Discovery at the island which was cool for the kids and you can rent a golf cart to trek the island. You can also hire a small boat to take you out to snorkel off the reef. It runs $35 a person and well wroth it. We would de

How much is it to rent jet skies at the resort?
2 years, 32 months ago
Trip Type: Singles ? Not for you
NO jet skies in this resort.
USD $45 for 30 min
You can negotiate - we did not have time to do ourselves but did research and out of the guests we spoke with the lowest we heard was $45 for about 30 mins.
Its expensive... $40 for 15 minutes, $80 for 30 mins, etc....
There are not jet skies at the resort to rent. Due to the rocks they can't get there.
They told us when we booked that Jet Skis were available, but when we got there they did not have them. They do have Kayaks but they were not allowing those to go out because the water was to ruff. They really do not offer many beach activities.
At check-in they told us that they could drive us to a better place to rent waverunners that was about 20 minutes away. But we ended up going right to the guys on the beach at the hotel and it was only $50/hour. They were awesome.
Is the resort in downtown cancun hotels zone or south7 answers
2 years, 29 months ago
no. it's a 45-60min drive.
The resort is not in downtown Cancun and hotel zone, however, one of the features in the All Inclusive is shuttle service there.
way north of the hotel zone....very secluded.
It is well north of the hotel zone and East of downtown Cancun. A bit remote but well worth it (meaning everything is at least a cab ride away).
It is actually a little NORTH of Cancun. There are no other hotels close really close to it.
It's actually north of the hotel zone by about 20 minutes. It's LOVELY (in my opinion) because there's nothing nearby. Awesome if you just want to lounge around and read as I did, but a hassle for people who want to spend time in downtown Cancun.
The hotel is in an area that is just being developed, north of the city of Cancun. Not a lot of other hotels around so the beach is almost private up and down from the hotel.
What do you suggest for transportation from the airport? Cost?5 answers
2 years, 26 months ago
CheapCaribbean.com does offer round-trip airport transfers as an option to add to your vacation package. You may do so when initially booking your trip, or you may add them on up until 72 hours prior to your departure date. As of right now, the transfers are pricing at around $40.00 per person round-trip, however that pricing is subject to change until the transfers are booked.
we used Olympus tours. maybe 15 per person.
For this hotel, we chose the private transportation since it was much further north than the other hotels. It was perfect.
We booked our transportation through Cheap Caribbean - it was convenient and inexpensive.
We used Olympus Tours and it was about 70$ (USD) for both of us. The resort is pretty far out and away from the hotel zone, so you dont want to take the chance on a taxi driver that may try to drive you around to up the fare. Play it safe and book the Olympus tours airport transportation
I booked the transportation here on Cheap Caribbean. The van was right outside the airport and drivers were easy to spot. Took only a few mins to load up the bags and off we went. They scheduled the ride back to the airport as well. It was well worth the price.

The best choice I think is American Airlines. They have a direct flight from MIA.
When is the best time to ask , if we can up grade our room?3 answers
1 year, 19 months ago
If you currently have a reservation booked with CheapCaribbean you may contact us at 1.800.915.2322 to upgrade your room. You may also speak with the resort directly upon arrival. If you do not have a reservation you may upgrade your room at the time you are making the reservaiton.
We were upgraded for free from a studio to a 1 bedroom when we first arrived. Mention that this is your first time staying with them and I imagine they would do the same if the room is available.
When you check in. We were upgraded to a suite. We paid extra for an ocean view and when we did not get it, and I complained, we were upgraded. They are very accommodating if they have the room..
Are taxes and gratuities included in this vacation package?7 answers
1 year, 19 months ago
All taxes and gratuities are included in the All inclusive package at the Villa Del Palmar Cancun. Should you purchase the hotel without the all inclusive package Cheap Caribbean's prices included all taxes, however the grauities for the restaurants are not included.
yes, but we tipped more and got even faster/better service. The wait staff by the pool get very motivated by all inclusive guests tipping. This is true anywhere
Taxes, gratuities and tips ARE included with the All-inclusive package
Yes, but it's always nice to carry a few extra dollar bills to reward good/great service with a smile and you will definitely get it here!
Taxes are included. However the package states that gratuities are included, after talking to several employees at the resort, I discovered that is true in part but they only receive a percentage of the package as a group. This mean that they receive few dollars since is divided among all the staff My advice is to tip whomever serves you if you feel their service is good. We felt that their service was top notch!
Yes, everything is included!! You can leave an additional tip if you wish as a 'extended thank you' but you never feel pressured to leave anything extra
Yes they are, however if you want to tip someone for extra good service you are allowed to do so.

All Inclusive Plan Features luxury accommodations as selected,
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at all restaurants and bars on the property, offering oceanfront dining la carte or a buffet (surcharge applies for lobster), domestic bar consisting of selected liquors, cocktails, beer, water and soft drinks, as well as house wines by the glass (surcharge applies for wines and liquors by the bottle), non-motorized water sports equipment, nightly live entertainment and theme nights, daytime beach and pool activities, use of fitness room,
all taxes and gratuities. The Mediterranean Restaurant Davino's is an a la carte restaurant serving Italian and Greek specialties. La Casona offers a full buffet breakfast. Zama Restaurant is an a la carte restaurant serving Mexican and international cuisine. Palmita Deli features delicious snacks, pizza, coffees and pastries.
We had everything included except premium liqueur such as Crown etc. All other drinks, all food, never tried room service. There is Zama which is kinda fancy Mexican, Divinos which is Mediterranean ( we really liked it) and a steak place that requires closed toed shoes (heads up). There is also the pool eateries that do nachos, tacos, burgers etc all included. Its a good level for all inclusive. We ate well and always had nice exotic deserts. Really no buffet except breakfast.
5 awesome restaurants, and a snack bar, plus 24-hour room service is included, (and several bars!). But this hotel is located way north of the hotel zone so you will need to travel some distance to find other restaurants, but we never felt like we had to leave to find great food. Very "up scale" cuisine, and the basics.....a little bit of everything.
Sushi, Steak, Italian, Greek, Mexican & American restaurants.
They offer different All-Inclusive pkgs, i.e. some pkgs do not include all 4 restaurants and some pkgs don't include room service. The All-Inclusive pkg I got when I booked with CheapCarribean.com included everything from all restaurants to mini bar to room service. You need to read the fine print to find out what you are purchasing.
The restaurants are very classy, all 4 of them; two of them require a dress code.
ALL food, drinks, room service menu is included in the all-inclusive. There are no local eateries or restaurants except a deli on the resort grounds. There are 4 different locations to eat at this resort not counting room service. 2 different breakfast locations in the morning, a snack hut, buffet and a la cart for lunch and for dinner, there is Italian, Steakhouse (which is AMAZING!), buffet or snack hut. EVERYTHING you could imagine is included in the all-inclusive. This includes ALL drinks, all food except for a select few items such as lamb and room service is included.
Everyting is included all food & drinks - the food here is 5-Star dinning.
Is room service included with all inclusive?8 answers

24-hour room service is available at this resort, however it is not included in the all-inclusive price, and would be an additional cost.
yes and it is awesome
Yes, we ordered dessert several nights using room service and it was included....and delicious!
It was included in my all inclusive package plus some drinks in the refrigerator. I did have to sign a full receipt upon delivery but only the tip, optional I assume, was included on my final bill.
YES, you will find all-inclusive IS the way to go! You have free drinks, food, room service, etc. Anything on the menu is yours for free
Yes. The honor bar as well. Tipping the staff does wonders for keeping it well filled with whatever you desire.
Yes it is however I was not as impressed with the room service as I was with the restaurants.

I would call the hotel directly and ask the age limit - they are very helpful. the kid's club looks really fun!
If we do not choose the all-inclusive plan, what does the average entree cost at the on site restaurants?6 answers
How much are beers?...cocktails?
How much are sodas?....bottled waters?
Prices are subject to change depending on the venue you are dining at. It is best to check with the resort directly for a price range on these items.
DO NOT choose anything but all-inclusive!! The average meal is $20-30 per person per meal!! Alcoholic beverages are anywhere from $5-$9 and bottled water is always free because you cannot drink from any other water source. There are NO nearby restaurants or eateries so I suggest purchasing the all-inclusive plan. You will not be able to afford purchasing food or drinks by the end of your trip. An average day with meals and drinks for 2 people costs us about $150-$250 easily.
do all-inclusive. meal prices are inflated.
Not affordable GO all-inclusive. Breakfast will run $50.00/couple and dinner $200.00 per night.
I would not recommend not to use the all-inclusive plan. The prices are a little high, and no alternatives nearby.
Cocktails range from $6-$9, sodas $3-$4
The all-inclusive is the best way to go. I think is worth the money!
I would recommend the all inclusive. Every time we ordered anything we did have to sign a bill (this was a pain) so I did see the prices. Honestly I thought they were high but I couldn't quote any. I do remember one dinner with 8 of us was over $300. You decide if that is too high.
Golf nearby?3 answers
Is there a golf course nearby? What is its name? What are its green fees? Will the resort shuttle take golfers to and from?
There is a Greg Normal Signature Course within 5 minutes and, although the resort shuttle does not provide transportation, this can be arranged via the Playa Mujeres Golf Club. As pricing will change depending on tee time and if you need to rent clubs, cart, etc., we recommend speaking directly with the Playa Mujeres Golf Club.
I apologize, there is a Greg Norman* golf course nearby.
Yes there is gold and yes the hotel offers a shuttle service. Not sure on the fees although when we booked all inclusive we received a voucher for a discount on golf at the nearby club.
I do not know the name of the golfing nearby. But I do know that the resort offered a $200 credit for golfing so I imagine it was somewhere near.
distance to ferry7 answers
how far is the resort from the ferry to Isla Mujeres?
If you are looking to be within walking distance to the ferry, we recommend a resort along the Northern stretch of the hotel zone. We recommend contact the resort directly to ask how they advise their guests to get to the Isla Mujeres Ferry.
The car ferry is literally right there and takes 60 minutes. The air conditioned passenger ferry is about 10 minutes away by car and takes 50 minutes - according to someone at the hotel.
It is right next door. You walk up the beach to the ferry. The ferry is a little slow, but it is a beautiful trip so the speed doesn't bother so much.
Some times, it looks like the ferry is going to dock on the beach in front of the hotel when it is pulling into the dock -- it is that close. Not annoying, but close.
There is a dock less than 20 feet from the resort beach (right nextstore) if you're looking to go to Isla Mujeres.
The ferry is literally RIGHT THERE. You can fall out of bed and land on the boat.
literally, 50 feet from edge of property
10 minutes - for 30 pesos you can get there via the bus that passes the hotel or a $15 cab ride.
are the restaurants air conditioned?7 answers
10 months ago
Many of the resorts in the Caribbean have open air restaurants. We recommend contacting the resort directly to confirm the set up of the restaurants.
They were when I was there last week and offered outdoor seating as well. I don't know about Zama (sp?) which is the large restaurant in the middle that also serves breakfast. It has retractable glass which was always open while I was there.
3 of the restaurants are air conditioned. One of the restaurants is open to the outside so there is no air. All other areas of the resort are air conditioned as well.
Yes except for the open air ones.
The restaurants are air condicioned.
Zama is open air; the other restaurants are all airconditioned as are the guest rooms.
How is beach area? Calm water and color?6 answers
Is this further north where the water is more murky green or is the water still blue? How close is it to Blue Bay Hotel and Embarcadero?
Being located along the Caribbean Sea, the waters tend to be calmer; however, you will find the bluest waters as you travel South (outside of the Hotel Zone). The Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury is also located just across the street from the El Embarcadero Ferry Terminal (at Playa Linda). We are unfamiliar with the Blue Bay Hotel located in the Hotel Zone.
Water is absolutely GORGEOUS! Crystal clear fading into a light blue. Could not tell you how far those locations are, sorry!
The water is beautiful turqouise and blue. It sits right across from Isla de Mujeres. There are no other resorts nearby. The hotel zone is about 10 minutes away but, you can see it from the beach.
Gorgeous turquoise water and shallow for quite a way from the beack. It is a little rocky when you get about 15 - 20' out so I would bring water shoes if you plan to walk into the water very far. There was a fair amount of seaweed washing in but it wasn't annoying. The hotel keeps the white sand very well groomed on a daily basis and there are lots of chaises to use on the beach.
Calm beautiful blue/green - awesone beach!
The beach is right in the hotel, less than 100 feet from the lobby. The resort is truly beautiful! Water is calmed and clear. Warm and clean
Are the pools heated in case the winter months are chilly?6 answers
We are familiar with the area....but where is the Villa located? In Cancun or closer to Riveria Maya? Thank you!
The pools at this resort are not heated. This resort is in Cancun.
It is a little North of Cancun.
You will find that they have four different pools (which I believe are heated), one smaller pool with a temp. avg. of 85 degrees and then 3 hot tubs. The resort is located 40-45 minutes from the airport PAST the Cancun Hotel Zone. It's in a secluded area with newer construction.
about 45 min drive north of cancun. Riv Maya is south of cancun
Pools were not heated and it is 40 minutes from the airport...closer to Riviera Maya. There is a ferry next to the resort that can take you to Isla Mujueres.
It is north of Cancun. It is 30 minutes north of the airport and 10 minutes from the hotel zone. Riveria Maya is south of the airport about 45 minutes.
The pools are not heated but, there are 3 hot tubs. We just got back and some people were swimming in the pools but, they were too cold for us. The hot tubs were nice though.
what are the views from garden rooms7 answers
9 months ago
This room features a private balcony or terrace with exquisite views of the resort's gardens.
Yes, this is alittle confusing. "Garden view" is the main levels, usually floor three and below and you look out into the center of the horseshow shaped inside of part of the garden area, surrounding the pools. IT IS STILL AN AWESOME ROOM! We had a third floor, garden room and we could see the beach and the ocean!! Glad we did not pay the extra $$$ to move above the third floor because our view was awesome (Room 2308).
All rooms are ocean view. This means all windows and balconies are facing oceanside. No matter which room you pick in this resort, you WILL get the best view!!
Here's the view from my garden-view room on the 6th floor. I was in building 3, but I'm sure that every garden-view room looks at the same part of the resort. It's lovely.
back or side of resort. not very pretty.
Palm trees, pool, and the middle of the resort-not bad at all
All the rooms face the ocean. Garden view are the ones on the lower level. You can glimps the ocean through the lovely folliage. I would suggest a room on either the south or west side of the building; those on the north side seem to get a lot of sun.
What are the electrical outlets? Do I need a voltage adapter?8 answers

The resorts are compatible to US electronics.
US electric outlets
No voltage adapter needed. We had no problems using our phone chargers, etc. there. From the US.
No adapter necessary.
We just back from Villa del Palmar in Cancun on Saturday. The electrical outlets there are the same as the US no need for an adaptar.
Outlets are standard so you don't need an adapter.
Regular outlets, just lile in US - no adapter needed.
There is 110 outlets you do not need adapters
Beach size7 answers
Is the beach big enough, are there enough chairs or do you need to get up early to claim your spot?
Plenty of chairs at the pool. lots of cabanas and chairs on the beach
The resort is located on Playa Mujeres, a beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white sand. Complimentary loungers are available at the beach. A wooden sun deck with loungers is also available at the beach. The resort offers complimentary beach activities daily.
Beach is small, but plenty chairs, if you claim yours early!
The beach area was a good size with ample lounge chairs. The hotel wasn't that busy during the week and we were always able to get a chair at any time. There are a lot of chairs at the several different pool areas also. On Saturday the best spots/chairs were taken but there were still a few to be found. It might be harder to get a chair during a really busy time.
There are enough chairs and it is on a very private beach. Good for a family.
Beach was good sized and we never had a problem getting beach chairs or pool chairs....no 6 am stake outs necessary
Huge beach, lots of chaises, we went in April 2013 (not Spring Break) and there were always plenty of empty seats any time of the day. There is also a covered pavillion area that faces the beach with lots of available seating. We had no problem finding space anywhere on the property.
Has anyone used the kids club? Curious if kids enjoy it. I have a 3yr and 6 yr old.3 answers
9 months ago
If you would like assistance finding the perfect family friendly resort, please call our Beach Experts at 1 800 915 2322.
We used the kids club. I think they could really improve it. It has very few games/toys/activities. (TV, X-Box, legos, arts/crafts, some board games and balls, maybe some other toys, but not a lot.) Also the staff should really organize activities among the kids more. Feels more like babysitting than day-camp. Parents could (and do) leave the kids there, but we didn't want to.
We didn't use the kids club but did walk through it. The times I was in there, there weren't many kids. They have a nice pool just outside the facility. My child was 8 and we had friends, so really no need to use the kids facility.
What is the taxi fare from the airport to Villa del Palmas?6 answers
We have been told that it is $180. That's enough for us to choose elsewhere. Also, we are owners. Must we be all-inclusive?
That is correct at least $120
For more information regarding current pricing and transportation options for a stay at this resort, please contact one of our experienced sales agents at 1-800-915-2322.
180 dollars is a rip off in my opinion if you book through cheapcarribean its 34 dollars per person round trip! If you are owners you can choose to use your kitchen in the room there is a great convience store attached to the hotel with everything you need to cook if you choose to.
We booked transport from the airport through cheap Caribbean (Olympus Tours) and for the two of us, it was $65 round trip (plus tips). They drivers were friendly and efficient and safe. Don't take a taxi, they are much more expensive.I don't know about your second question.
If you book thru CC.com you can add on transportation for under $40.00
We signed up for the free shuttle which was $60 roundtrip through Cheap Caribbean. However, if you choose to take a taxi, you can negotiate, and we were told by most cab drivers during our stay that the cost is about $40-50 USD.
No way! When you book with Cheapcaribbean you can set up transportation. We paid $30 per person for round trip transportation via Olympus Tours.
Hello! I just came back from this resort, and the fare for a taxi is 40-45 per trip depending on the driver. In pesos is 450 which is the established price. Stay away from the prepaid package offered through Olympus, they are horrible.

I understand the prices change, but what are the spa prices like on average?
For a price list of spa services at this resort, please visit the resort's website directly at: http://www.villapalmarcancun.com/Spa-Pricelist-Villa-Palmar-Cancun.html
Im not sure the prices of the spa but I did get a massage in a cabana outside overlooking the ocean it was so relaxing I feel asleep with the cool breeze from the ocean and it was for and hour. I was informed it was cheaper than the spa and it was just as good if ask me. I paid just under 100 american dollars
Comparable to most other spas - I paid about $60 for an exfoliation and a ortho massage was about $140 for 80 minutes; relaxation massage slightly less. It's a beautiful spa with a well trained staff and the added bonus of a steam room and three whirlpools for customers to use before or after services.
The spa services are a good price 50 min for $100. If you book thru CC.com you may get a $100 credit (see specials) per room.
Had a great massage at the spa -- it was $100 for 50 minutes. I consider that fair in a resort setting and it was VERY well worth it. Lovely spa and facility!
Most of the basic massages were $100+ for a 50 minute massage. I don't remember much about the other services they offered but the spa was VERY nice!
Is there different levels of inclusive offered?6 answers
I read on a few reviews that some guest didn't have the all inclusive and some liquids they had to pay for.
If I book through CC.com which level would I get?
CheapCaribbean.com offers all-inclusive stays at this resort. If you booked through our website, you would have the following included with your stay:
•Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
•Domestic bar consisting of selected liquors, cocktails, beer, water, wine and soft drinks.
•Nightly live entertainment and theme nights
•All taxes and gratuities
We figured out after the first meal that wines from the special wine list were not included so we decided to only order wine by the glass that was included with the meal. Each menu clearly detailed meals and drinks that were not included.
It will say on your voucher. I think all of the CC things were the "all-inclusive unrestricted". That is what you want. There are only a few things not included in that. I can only remember a few: angus beef, lamb, fancy wine (house wine is included), and something else. If it says that all meals at all of the restaurants are included, you're good to go! Have fun!!
You have to pay for premium liquor and wines other than house. The house wine was very good and I enjoyed the mixed drinks without upgrading liquor. I believe you iether choose all inclusive or not.
I just returned and booked thru CC.com and there are different levels but when you book thru CC.com you get everyting included and more.
There is all inclusive and there is the not all inclusive. Get the all inclusive! Are bill was 0$ when we left. It includes, beer, anything not very top shelf at the bar, all food except lamb and lobster, several house wine choices, shots, 24 hour room service food, stocked room fridges etc etc more then you could ever need.
Make sure it says All Inclusive. Some CC stuff is not all inclusive. The only drinks or meals that were not included were the super expensive wines and rare meals that are listed as $80+. As an All Inclusive, you get a good discount of 40% and stuff on those items. There are so many free things I wouldn't worry about it.

there is no swim up bar but the have poolside and beach service
No swim up bar, but the pool side service is incredible. Lots of staff around the pool at all times. They have two tiki bars, one by the pool and one on the beach. Plenty of bars all over the resort.
There is no swim up bar, but, yes, they do have poolside service. If you see an employee just tell them that you want to order something and they will get it to you right away!
No swim up bar but the staff is very attentive to all the outdoor areas, not just by the pool or on the beach.

Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa in Mexico: Playa
Mujeres and Full-Service Spa
Not everyone has the good fortune of living right on the beach, so instead of
making the trek with the kids every weekend, just head for your home away from
home at Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa in Mexico. Cancun
has never been more family-friendly than it is at this resort, removed from the
Hotel Zone's rowdy parties. Fun activities and relaxing amenities are just a
few reasons why families pick this elegant all inclusive resort.
A huge stretch of Playa Mujeres welcomes fearless youngsters ready for
jumping waves and splashing up a storm while their parents grab cervezas and
drag sun loungers right up to the water's edge. Two pools are the best way to
cool down, especially with the awesome waterfall bridge. Swim up an appetite
and sit down to dinner at one of the three restaurants; you can dine on yummy
tenderloin at La Casona, hearty rigatoni at Davino's and fresh sushi on the
terrace at Zama Restaurant. Practice your salsa steps to live music after
dinner before stopping at Tiki Beach Bar for a nightcap.
Hanging out at the beach is popular at Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach
Resort & Spa, and there are plenty of ways to enjoy the scenery. Have a
kayak race with the kids, snorkel through the underwater kingdom or test your
reflexes with windsurfing. Golfers have their pick of courses with more than 10
golf courses nearby, and relax-ationers soak up the soothing at the hotel's
spa. Take a trip through the hydrotherapy circuit before letting the stress
melt away on a massage table.
When it's time to call it a day, we think the suites at this resort are the
perfect choice. The Two Bedroom Suite sleeps up to eight and features a fully
equipped kitchen in case you want to whip up a midnight snack. The upscale
perks, like a flat-screen TV with pay-per-view movies and balcony with an ocean
view, make you feel right at home.
