My boyfriend and I honestly enjoyed everything about this resort. The people who work there are soooooo amazing! The only thing we didn't like was the smoking in the lobby!!!!! Please do something about that! The food was amazing!!!! We definitely plan on going back in the near future!

No reunió mis expectativas

Good enough value BUT I would not recommend...

This is not the resort you go back home from vacationing at and brag about to your family and friends I highly recommend to the owners of the VIK to please consider an overhaul renovation of the entire property...it could be soooo much better....we traveled in a family group of 9 ( my husband .my self and our 5 children..20yrs..14yrs..11yrs..5yrs & 3yrs my sister and nephew 13yrs) ..I am not picky ..nor complain about much so trust what I and the majority of past guest experienced...to start..FOOD at buffet was HORRIBLE..nor much selection or variety not even for children..decent enough Resort if you're on a really last minute tight budget as I was BUT I would not recommend this resort or will I ever come back...it is a 3 star resort...I have only stayed at 4-4-5 star Resorts throughout the caribbean so this resort was a step wayyyy down & also a real difference and disappointment...this resort allows smoking any & everywhere on property so BEWARE non-smokers and families traveling with small children ...pool area was nice but could use a swim up bar..lots of available lounge chairs all times of the day...Beach was beautiful...pulling up to the VIK I immediately felt I made a bad decision because there was NO WOW factor as every other Resort we've been too has...the grounds were kept clean and landscape was only average & could use some more watering...rooms was basic..there was no decor...now for me ..I'm attracted to what draws my eyes..& sadly nothing here is attracting ...furniture was blah..no alcohol in room fridge..no FREE electric safe..no pictures of anything anywhere..no ice machines NO WHERE not even at the restaurants..bars or lobby..all ice was kept in coolers that the bartenders scooped out..the lobby was always packed with guest because of the free WiFi....my older kids (20yrs & 14yrs) was highly disappointed because they only know the best...now we know what is & isn't nice...travelled to DR a few times .. mexico .. bahamas ..Barbados.. Jamaica and cruises staying most times at All Inclusive 4 star resorts...and travelled throughout the USA...although I knew I was booking a 3 star because of my budget at the very last minute....I still expected more...also there was a lack of entertainment ...lack of restaurants...but the 2 specialty restaurants food was pretty decent...I can't comment on the water activities because we didn't take part in any having 5 children with 2 of them being 5yr & 3yr..the pool was all they wanted.... .basically if this will be your 1st time in the Caribbean at a resort then you might love the VIK not knowing any better..DO BELIEVE ALL REVIEWERS CONS..because they're all accurate...Especially about the food....did I already say how terrible the buffet food was..that's how true it is..lol...I could name so many things that need improvement or need adding ....overall we still enjoyed ourselves for the most part...shout out to Gilberto at reception desk ...Roberto at the lobby bar & Jose the waiter (he worked the buffet restaurant and Italian restaurant) they were always helpful with a smile and remembered us whenever we were in their presence....

Hotel Description

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Slip Beneath the Stress

Feeling drained? That's your body telling you it's time to recharge! No fuel is better than the sun, sand and sea at the VIK Hotel Arena Blanca. Located in tropical Punta Cana, the beachfront resort is a gem. The exquisite spa, gorgeous pools and nearly 24-hour entertainment for honeymooners ad families are just the start to a care-free experience in paradise.

The ivory shores of Bavaro Beach beckon sunbathers while snorkelers and scuba divers find bliss off shore. What's more, the resort offers non-motorized water activities free of charge. Skim over the waves on a complimentary catamaran excursion, or head to the resort's pool for a game of water polo. If you'd rather just relax and bask in the island atmosphere, though, the resort also provides loungers, palapas and towels for you to do just that. A refreshing beverage from the beachside Bucanero Bar tops off a perfectly beachy afternoon.

When dinnertime rolls around, check out El Mirador to sample the theme-based evening menu this buffet has in store. If you want Caribbean-style meals, La Proa serves up meat and seafood dishes with signature Island flair. In the mood for Italian? Don your best "smart casual" ensemble and make an appearance at La Trattoria for pasta dishes served a la carte. On Fridays, the decision is easy. Head straight for El Cano, where guests enjoy a fun seaside barbecue under the stars.

After dinner, the party keeps going at Calipso Bar until 5am. If the night's still young, though, the Fun Pub is the best spot to get groovin'. Then, if you feel like you're on a roll, venture to the Towers Casino to see how Lady Luck treats you.

If gambling is a step too close to the wild side for you, get a good night's rest instead, and prepare for the relaxation experience of your life at Etra Spa. From private parlors for couples massages to a full-service hair salon, the resort's on-site spa pampers you until the cares of ordinary life become distant memories.
