Smelly

The layout is backwards from anything that would make any sense. Small dirty rocky beach is only big enough to stick your feet in... if you dare.... The place smells bad and is full of bugs.....!!! Go to the Mattiott up the road for less...

Personal service

During out time at St. Kitts our son became very sick. . We encountered the owner of Timothy Beach Resort. He offered to take our son to the hospital, but we didn't think that was necessary. Instead he led us to the local store where a pharmacist was. He prescribed a medication which worked wonderfully. We want to thank him and the resort in making our vacation a wonderful one! The care shown us was outstanding!

55 non-smoking guestrooms in four, three-story pastel-turquoise buildings with outside staircases (no elevators). Freshly remodeled rooms. All accommodations have air-conditioning, cable TV, wireless internet access, telephones, mini refrigerator and daily maid service. All but the mountain view rooms have spacious balconies or patios with a dinette set and comfortable chaise lounges. Mountain view rooms have small balconies without a dinette set and chaise lounges."

The Sunset Cafe features a casual relaxed atmosphere and it's the best place to view the incredible sunsets on the island.

There is not much night-time activity on the island, but this resort is only a short walk to some nice restaurants and a major casino.

A true laid-back Caribbean island with uncrowded beaches. Conveniently located close to the airport, downtown Basseterre and a beautiful golf course.

Timothy Beach Resort attracts leisure travelers seeking a moderately-priced holiday on St. Kitts. Because the hotel is located on a narrow peninsula between the Caribbean and the Atlantic, guests have access to two beaches. A quarter-mile-long sand strip is lapped by the calm Caribbean next to the resort, while a four-mile stretch of sand runs along the rougher Atlantic side, one mile away.

Located at the foot of a green mountain, 5km (3 miles) east of Basseterre, this condo resort is a family favorite and is listed in "Fodors Caribbean 2007" as "Highly recommended". The most sought-after units are those opening directly onto the beach, which offers swimming, sailing, and watersports. There's also a freshwater pool terraced into Timothy Hill overlooking the beach and an 18-hole golf course is just a short drive away.

Watersports are available on the beach adjacent to the resort, and hotel staff can arrange transportation for trips to town, volcano tours, excursions to the Brimstone Hill fortress, and other island adventures. Free Wireless Internet is provided at the pool and restaurant areas.

DINING / BARS:

SUNSET CAFE - Casual restaurant and bar with open-air seating under white-wood ceiling and pink-and-turquoise canopies. Watch the sun slip behind the azure blue waters, while sipping a refreshing Island drink. Offering an American breakfast, lunch choices include sandwiches, tuna and chips, burgers, and West Indian dishes such as curried chicken, fish pot, and roti. Dinner selections may include fish soup, fish cakes, steak, pasta pork almondine, grilled fish, barbecue ribs, and jerk chicken.
