An orange sun dips into the Caribbean as you set out for a night of celebration, Bajan-style. Your hotel, Time Out at the Gap in Barbados, is across the street from Dover Beach, right in the midst of St. Lawrence Gap's lively nightlife. Great nightclubs and bars are just an easy walk, from McBride's beer garden to the chic Lipgloss with its in-house DJ. After a few libations, you might even find yourself on the dance floor doing a signature Barbados "wukking-up" session!

Time out at the gap was great
The location was ideal. The beach very nice. People were great. I will definitely stay here again. It was not the most modern hotel but it had everyting we needed, was clean. The food at the huts on the beach was great. Locals food and plenty of it. Grace at the corner hut was a gem. She was so accomodating. The whether was beautiful. Sun all but 1/2 a day. The island tour is a must your first time in Barbados. We were lucky enough to get Rooster as our guide. He was the best. The people in Barbados are the nicest I have ever met anywhere.

Great birthday getaway!
I booked this trip with my best friend in February. We got a great deal, and even though it rained a good portion of the time, I still had a blast. The Gap is a perfect place for fun and entertainment, and self sufficient enough where you don't really have to venture out if you don't want to. It is a safe, small community and people there (locals AND tourists) are very friendly. I loved it and can't wait to go back.
I have been to the caribbean and mexico 10 times and barbados has the best beaches and water. The local are very friendly. Time out is a decient hotel for the price. No extras but very reasonable, there is only one resturant which is average but you will want to try out the outside restaurants anyways. They are awesome. Del Sol has the best mexican food ever! The hotel is not on the beach but it is a short 1/4 block walk. The beaches are all public property on Barbados so they are free to go on but you will have to rent a chair if you want one. The pool is small but the beach makes up for it. Go on the Jolly Roger if you like to party, also I loved swimming with the turtles! Fun party vacation with amazing beaches!

Time Out at the Gap
Excellent service, once we got placed in the balcony room we had requested. Front desk very attentive. Bad TV replaced promptly. St. Lawrence Gap offered a lot of dining options. Beach right across the street. Cricket in the park next door. Nice attached bar, but not enough TV options. Continental breakfast lacking local flavor, but expected. Short walk to the Main Coast Rd for bus service. Great location and service.

Room Information
76 air-conditioned guestrooms in two cream-colored wings of three stories without elevators. Cream and white rooms include tile floors, rattan furniture including desks, and pastel fabrics. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, mini refrigerator, satellite TV, telephone, radio alarm clock, hair dryer, and iron with ironing board.
This small, casual hotel is clean and basic--perfect for families watching their costs. Two small markets around the corner make it easy to save on food costs.
What We'd Change
Time Out at the Gap Hotel in Barbados is not directly on the beach. But gorgeous Dover Beach is just across the street, so a short walk saves you plenty.
