Birthday Excursion

My friend and I (wink) went to this resort where I was actually going to go to the Adults Only Oasis and by far based on the travel agents choice this experience was grand. The all inclusive was the best and we even got to experience the two Specialty restaurants on their location. Now if you stay at the Pyramid its the all -inclusive black band you receive where you have more restaurants, exclusive breakfast bars for Pyramid residents only, and some free water excursions to choose from. Did I mention the aqua center where we did more of the water sports was also close by like 7-10 minutes (walking) away. The service was A+, the drinks were always available, the shows were fantastic and its an experience I would never forget. Oh and to add inside the Pyramid looks like an Oasis so the visuals of walking out of your room makes you feel so tranquil and serene. When it was our last day we checked out early and was still able to eat and drink on the premises. This again was a great experience and I would highly recommend the Pyramid to stay in.

Great family getaway

The check-in process was very smooth and the front desk attendant was very pleasant. Since our room came with one king-size bed, they were nice enough to provide us with a roll-away bed. The roll-away bed's mattress was nice and thick not like a cot. Our refrigerator was restocked daily and we had plenty of water and chocolates at turn-down. The bathrooms, however, could use a ventilation fan because at times the water smelled like it was straight from the sewer. The food options at the Pyramid level were vast. Our favorite meal was at the White Box and MakiTako. Our daily breakfast at Le Buffet was a great way to start the day with fresh fruits, an omelette station and pastries. We had lunch at Cocoa Hippie Chic one day by the beach and visited the smoothie bar often. The two coffee shops on the premises was very welcomed for that afternoon shot of caffeine. The staff at all of the restaurants were extremely nice and gracious and made the trip that much more pleasurable. Even though it was all-inclusive with gratuities, we still gave tips at each meal ($2-3 at breakfast, $5 at lunch, $5-10 at dinner). We knew that every little bit we gave made a bigger difference in their lives. Other reviews have commented on the issue of loud noise. It's a given that the nightly shows in the Pyramid will take place, so we just tried to plan around it if we didn't want to deal with the noise. Also the music from the day party on the beach was pretty loud, but it stopped around 8 or 9pm. There was also another pool which was quieter. We would definitely visit this property again and were surprised by some of the other negative comments because we didn't experience any of them.

Great Trip

My boyfriend and I came at the end of Feb, which is apparently already spring break season so we were charged with an insurance charge we were unaware of. it was $30 per person. through cheapcarribean, we got a beautiful beach front room. food wasn't very good just your average all inclusive food

Fun for All

This resort has it all. If you want to party there are plenty of places to go wild. If you want to relax you can do that as well. It was difficult to believe that this resort was servicing over 3000 people when I was there. The room was especially clean and the restaurants made sure that your cup or glass was filled at all times. My only complaint is that there was no restaurant that served good quality Mexican food and there was absolutely no salsa and chips. Very disappointing. Also we could not figure out why the hostess at the Brazilian style restaurant kept turning us away. After much debate, the manager finally came out and asked us to come in. Our connections were superb! The Amstar folks were extremely professional and made us feel at home. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this resort if you don't mind a lively place.

Hotel Description

The Pyramid at Grand Oasis: All-Inclusive Vegas on the Beach

Self-identified as the "Grandmaster of Fun," you can feel the buzz when you step into the lobby of this beachaliscious resort. You can revel in live concerts, music festivals & shows and themed parties, some of which turn up unexpectedly - dancers seemingly appear out of nowhere and cut a rug in the lobby or comedy skits materialize by the pool. At night, the sizzle continues with a burlesque cabaret show in the Kinky nightclub. Rooms are ocean or lagoon view so you know you'll be gazing at some sweet blue hues. Nosh at epic international restaurants and throw back a few at rockin' bars and then wind down at the spa with massages, facials and body wraps. Truth is, there's amazement around every palm.
