For the open minded!
We had a great trip. When we first got there it was a little weird for me because I had never been to a topless resort but I was over that very quickly. No one was there to judge and that was very apparent. We did not spend much time at the sexy pool but everyone there seemed to be having a great time. We were more in relax mode. It has a little something for everyone. The hotel was full the weekend that we got there but the resort is very spread out so it did not seem over crowded. We went to Patyo's the first night there and that was a great time! I wish that they had the dj there everynight but there was ALWAYS something going on so we were never bored. That being said there was also always somewhere to relax. Most all of the staff was very friendly maybe one or two people were not that friendly. Drinks were good. Food was good. We ate alot at the Margaritas snack bar. We would def go back again. The crowd is very mixed. I saw alot of groups of single guys and a few groups of single girls. The nightly entertainment was good and the spa was great! If you are feeling saucy you should do the sensual massage! ;)
If you like being surrounded by loud drunks this is the place for you. to ensure you have no sleep at all please make sure to be situated by the Patty O lounge. People party until at least 4 in the morning!
The resort was dated but clean. Staff were not that helpfull as compared to some of the other resorts we've stayed at.
We like to go to adult only resorts but this place was more like a meat market with a lot of single guys. Be prepred to be hit on by the swingers and singles!
If you're looking for party central this is the place to be. We won't be going back!
We went as a couple (m/f) to Temptations Cancun. We got one of the premo rooms available, very nice. Service and attentiveness by staff was excellent. Tip generously as soon as you get there and they are yours for the entire stay. Dont forget to make reservations for the restaurants early to get the best dining times, and still make it to the evening activities offered at the hotel. Plan out your evening activities offered at the hotel. They are fun but its easy to forget about them. Mingle with people and make friends, it makes the vacation that much better. Call ahead or check the web site to plan for the themed evening events such as lingerie night, white night, etc. There's something each night.
The actual beach in this area is not as nice as the "hotel zone" due mainly due to the seaweed that washes in here, but the staff is good about clearing it each morning.
I would recomend NOT buying the transfers thru the travel companies, especially if you can speak spanish (to haggle with taxi drivers). Prepurchased transfers are no cheaper and you end up waiting around upon arrivial for a particular van, and on departure they want you ready 3 hours head of time. Just take a taxi both ways ($20-30 per car, not per person) and enjoy more of your time in Cancun. Taxi drivers will take you the "non scenic route" which only takes about 15-20 mins to and from the airport, and no stopping at 6 hotels before yours, as Tempations will be almost the last stop if taking the pre arranged vans.
We also took a trip to Telum and Xel Ha which is an all day event. If you are only staying 4 days (we stayed 5 days) it will shorten your trip greatly as the first and last days arent really full days. I would recommend 5-7 days if you wish to take an excursion.
Yes, its topless optional and there will be all body types there. So explore your adventurous side if you haven't already.

Fun in the sun...
I had a good time there, the resort and pools were nice and fun...
I found the drinks left something to be desired. Also the buffet had some items that I found were not what I expected at all. very bland and some things like the sausage links that were sitting in their own oil or grease not able to eat. I went there as a single and found that it was mostly couples so not a lot of opportunities to meet other singles... I would like to go back, but will be sure to take someone special with me to make everything more fun.

it was super easy... they had 5000 registered guests when I was there.. we hardly saw 100 people.

unless you have a Villa you cannot use the beds. They are also on a grassy section next to the beach.

It depends on what time you get up. I woke early everyday anyway so I went down between 6-6:15 with a book and was either the first or close to the first in line. I found that several people still found beds even after 8:00 though (when they open the gate), but not the "primo" ones. If you're up early, it's worth it to wait in line--I never got much of my book read anyway since everyone was friendly and chatty.

The beds on the beach are first come, first serve. The amount of people booked at the hotel during your stay and what time you head to the beach will affect your chances.

I think it's probably not so hard. I've stopped going for the beach spots since the prime spots are normally those around the "sexy" pool. The daily entertainment in that area is hilarious and worth hanging out for.

There were a few available beds when I visited but there are restricted beds/sections for Premeire Members that regular patrons were not allowed to use.

beds on the beach are alot easy to get than around the sexy pool. You need to be at the pool at 6am if you want a chair there but the beach seems to have chairs open even around 9am. If you need to know anything else, feel free to ask.

The location is in between the hotel zone and downtown Cancun. Its a short bus ride ( 5 mins or less, although you can also walk) to the hotel zone for more nightlife and shopping.
The water is a little darker here than in the "hotel zone" due to the seaweed that washes ashore. The Temptations staff is pretty good about raking it each morning early. The beach is fine, and honestly you'll probably spend most of the time poolside. We're in Ohio too, just got back from Temptations in late Novemeber.

Temptations Cancun is located on the fourteen Mile-long Island strip between the hotel zone's "Party Central" and downtown Cancun. Guests arriving at Cancun International Airport will travel just 20 short minutes to the resort. According to a recent review on TripAdvisor, the water is clear blue.

this resort does allow swimming at the beach, although it is at the guest's discretion and they may post warning signs or restrict swimming in the event of a rip tide, inclement weather, etc. Snorkeling and windsurfing, as well as other activities such as para sailing are available nearby for an additional cost.
