Beach Vacation
Sunset Beach Resort is tucked away on a beach front. The beach was really rocky (sand needed to be strained). There are several beach options ranging from family friendly to adult. The many pools on the property gave a excellent touch to pool time. The water slide was great for childrend and adults. As any beach resort towels and beach chairs are gold. My family and friend enjoyed our stay. The view of the sunset was wonderful. Great place to stay.
What I did not like about the resort is that the pool with all the action, games and music did not have the swim up bar at it!
They need to make have music at all the pools and it would have been nice to have adult games seperated from the kids games..... one of the pools should have been for adults only! I know it's a family resort but many people come without children and don't want to have them around while on vacation.
The staff was awesome..... very entertaining!!!!

First Christmas away from New England. Great time, excellent location and proximity to airport. Food was good, drinks were plentiful and strong, service was great. Rooms were average (dated) but clean. Overall, a great vacation!
We just got back from our seventh trip to Sunset Beach Resort and Spa on December 23, 2011, after a week long celebration of our fourth anniversary. We were married at the Sunset Beach Grande in December 2007.
As usual, the staff, food and drinks were all excellent. Back this year was the casino, the returning guest dinner with a complimentary photo and of course the upgrades.
My favorite part was the Spa, they were running a special for the month of December for $99 with an assortment of ala carte items. We purchased three packages and enjoyed an hour long couples massage, couples pedicure, couples reflexology and I had a mini facial all for $300. You can't beat that!
This is a quaint family resort. Lots of families from all over the world. There is something for everyone. We like to spend our days chosing between the beach or the pool. Usually we did both.
I'm a mudslide person, but they had strawberry and pina colada machines and for all of you wine people, they had a wine dispenser with both white and red wine.
In previous year we have gone on different trips around the island, however this year we just did a whole lot of nothing.
We spoke to severl people that said for the money this is the best resort around.
We have no desire to go to another resort. Everything we need is right here.
I would recommend it 100%.

All offers require double occupancy but I am a single traveler. How can I find offers for one person?3 answers

Hi Rob,
Thank you for your question. Yes, most of our Promotions require double occupancy, however that does not mean a single traveller cannot book a reservation. When you price out a trip online the website automatically defaults to 2 travellers. In the orange boxes on the left side of our home page simply change the number of guests to 1. If booking from the resorts information page, just click on the second "adult" and a drop down menu will open where you are able to select the ages of the travellers. Simply click at the very top on the dash, to remove the second traveller. The booking will then reflect pricing for only one person.

The kids club at Sunset Beach is brilliant. They put a list of activites and times up every morning, this means that kis can pick and chose what they want to do. The kids club staff are very friendly and they remember the kids names so well. They have a full range of activities for them to do.

Room Information
The resort offers 430 guestrooms and suites in two 10-story towers colored pastel yellow and orange. All accommodations include full baths, hair dryers, telephone with voice mail, Satellite TVs, in-room safes (refundable deposit required), irons and ironing boards, and private balconies. Refundable deposit also required for use of beach/pool towels.
Please note: Sunset Beach Resort & Spa has a non-smoking policy. Smoking is not allowed in air-conditioned areas of the resort. Smoking is allowed in the main lobby, outside restaurants and pool decks. Smoking is not allowed in guest rooms, balconies, lobby areas and restaurants that are air-conditioned.

Sunset Beach Resort and Spa has three pools surrounded by sundecks that supply freshwater swimming and sunbathing space. A 75 by 30 feet pool is separated by a two-sided swim-up bar. The second pool is a 75-foot-long free-form pool. Adjacent to the bar is an oceanfront 25-person spa tub. The third pool, a 75-foot-long kidney-shaped affair, contains a volleyball net.

A 5,000-square-foot health and beauty spa scented by fragrant oil and featuring bleached wood, pastel walls, and tile floors. Offers hydrotherapy, Vichy showers, body wraps and scrubs, waxing, hair braiding, paraffin treatments, and hair and nail care.
