Remodel/ Service

All wait staff is great. We checked in as a couple was never ask what kind of room we wanted king bads or doubles, they give us a double. I immediately called down to the hotel and they said we may have one tomorrow. No one got back to us. The rooms and the hotel is ran down. The beach is very rocky and the water is unswim-able. Sucks.

Run for the sun

The staff at this resort will bend over backwards to make you happy. The view from the rooms is also great. The only thing is, the resort is showing its age. We stayed for 7 days and only had hot water for 2 days. Also a pipe burst above the room my kids were staying and flooded their room. The staff did them a favor and up graded them to a very nice room next door at the Cove. The Entertainment was below average and if you want to get a drink after 10:00 P.M. you have to go to the club which has booming hip hop and rap music every night. When you have a variety of people staying at a resort I think you can have a variety of music or options of places to get a drink and hangout after 10:00 P.M. Also if you want to snorkel or use the non motorized equipment they offer. You can only use it at 10:00 A.M. each day. I have stayed at many 4 star resorts and I would say this one should be rated at a 3 or 3 1/2. Don't get me wrong. You can have a good vacation here and the staff and view are very good. I just don't think it should be a 4 star rating. If you stay anywhere in Jamaica be sure to go to Dunn River Falls. We took the excursion called Cool Runnings. A Great time for everyone!

Return trip

This is the second consecutive year I signed up for the deal of fortune from CC and the second time they sent me to Sunscape Splash. So I can compare the two visits. First, let me say that I travel alone and go to Jamaica to enjoy the warm weather and great service. This year the weather was weird-a lot of clouds, some sun, and very, very strong winds. So that put a slight damper on my enjoyment. This year, the place was a lot cleaner than last year, and there have been improvements in a few of the amenities-for example, the room safe now operates on a code that you create rather than with a flimsy key. As in my past visit the staff were very attentive to my every need. The staff at the activity pool were especially great-a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and able to adapt to the weather. The food at the buffet was okay-some of it was great, but some of it was undercooked. The grill is still a good choice for lunch, and they still have 3 places for evening dining besides the buffet. A few things I suggest to keep in mind if you are considering a trip to Sunscape Splash. First-if you are looking for 5 star elegance and luxury, look elsewhere. Sunscape is nice, but the amenities are basic. Not bad, but basic. Also-if you are a single person looking to meet other singles then look elsewhere. Sunscape is very much geared toward families with children, of which there were many while I was there. There were a lot of great activities for kids and families-including the water park, the explorer club, the nightly kids movie on the beach, the weekly pirate parade, the weekly kids fashion show, and daily entertainment shows for kids and family. There were some activities geared toward adults. The daily water zumba class is quite popular, there is a small casino and disco, nightly entertainment, 4 bars, and a spa and fitness center. But Sunscape definitely appears to be focused on families and I would gladly recommend this place for families.

Sunscape Montego Bay

Everything went well with the service, barmens and stuff( the best was Eddington and Roland). The exception is the food ,not too manny options. I recommend them to improve the quality of the food, everyone was concerned about this( the people in resort). Thank you, Geno
