I didn't like it!

we bought a fortune of deal, and there were several resort including this one. This was the only one we didn't look forward but I assumed the other 4 were really nice so we would definitely get one of those. But no... I was wrong... and since we found out a week before, we can't even change our booking. With the being said, I checked the photos of the resort and they didn't look that bad so I thought why not... it can be a good one too! When we reached there, we found out, there are two sunscape next to each other... sunscape dominican and sunscape bavaro. Sunscape bavaro is much nicer and better than dominican one because their lobby has more people working there and everyone was really helpful. Although, we stayed on sunscape dominican side, we often went to the other lobby for help and they were able to help us and the dominican side would just look for excuses. Upon arrival, the front desk person made us pay for the internet and also asked us to pay if we needed room service or there is none. We paid for the internet but not for room service. To my surprise.. even if we didn't pay the room service still came. So the front desk person was looking for some extra cash. Rooms are okay and sheets were not clean and had blood marks! Eww I know, we pulled the sheets off and slept on the mattress. The blanket had a really really bad fishy smell... bathroom were good... Resort beach had big sand bags everywhere made the beach looked bad. It was raining the first two days and we asked for umbrella, the front desk wouldn't provide one. then we went to the other resort and they were able to give us umbrella. Overall, I hated that people were not that helpful on dominican side... and always looking for extra money for everything. however, the other side were always helpful without looking for extra money.

AMAZING

My boyfriend and I went to Sunscape resort from 5/8-5/14 and we loved it. It was our first time to Punta Cana and we wish we could have stayed longer. The room was excellent! We upgraded and had an ocean view room with a jacuzzi in it. The resort itself is right on the water and is so nice to wake up to. The people who work there are very nice and are willing to help you with whatever you need. We loved hanging out by the pool. There are a few pools and one has a swim up bar that is fun to sit and drink at. There are many options for food, but like others have mentioned we found that the buffets can be kind of the same every day so we tried to switch it up, we also got room service a few times and that food was also very good. We went on one excursion but wish that we had done more or ventured out on the town a little bit, but all in all we loved it and will definitely visit again!! :)

Great Honeymoon Value

We had a fantastic time on our honeymoon! The weather was perfect, the Caribbean was beautiful and the food was great! The resort was small enough to conveniently walk to everything we wanted. We loved the swim up bar! The pizza shop was our favorite afternoon and before bed snack everyday. Chopstick Restaurant was a wonderful experience, the food and the atmosphere were great! The casino, which was not advertised, was completely empty every time we went in to gamble. The staff running the casino were the most unfriendly staff we encountered in the whole resort.

Great Escape for the money

Me and my boyfriend went to Suncape through Deal of Fortune - so we didn't know where we would end up until the week before. Overall, service was great and the resort was clean. The food quality was ok - I didn't fully trust the buffets. We went to the stations where the food was cooked fresh; i.e.. omlette station for breakfast; pizza and burgers for lunch. The dinners were pretty good; some meals seemed pre-prepared. The hibachi was the best and most fresh. The alcohol situation was weak though!! The booze seemed watered down; it took so many drinks to feel a buzz, and usually i am good after a drink or two. The only beer was "El Presidente" which is like drinking a bud lite the entire time. No other options available. The house wine was TERRIBLE. You have to buy a bottle if you want something decent with dinner; so for all inclusive - that is disappointing. I wish they would change that. The room was nice; even though the AC was blasting, the air was still damp and my bathing suits wouldn't dry unless i laid them outside. The pool could have been warmer - and the hot tubs weren't hot! They don't turn them on. Overall probably a 3/5. Good value, just overall could have been better
