Very clean resort with 95% VERY friendly staff!! Pool area really nice, pretty beach .. . .. could use : better food in the " specialty" restaurants ( except the Japanese - that was very good.) The buffet food was quite good. The bars/ drinks were excellent! The room was very nice ( but no hot water sometimes and they didn't always replace things used like towels, cream, etc) THe beds are WAY too hard. They should put " spring break" people in one area and non late night partiers in a different one. Several people in our group had sleepless nights due to partying/ loud people. The check in procedure was HORRIBLE!!!! We arrived at 5 and did not all have rooms until 9 or 10 that night. Although they put us in the Sun Club ( which was great ) we had to fight for our coupons!! Overall GREAT vacation!

Sunscape - great value

Great value for the money. Spent a little extra and joined the Sunclub and got a private pool, better drinks and good location of rooms. Best place to eat was Chop Stix - get there early by 6 or you will have an hour wait. Overall food was okay but there was definitely enough to eat. Get involved in everything they offer and you will have a better time. Entertainment was average for the workers were fantastic. Loved Wilie Wonker. It is a shame they look like they are going to lose their sandy beach. Took outside trip to Santo Domingo - definitely recommend it - it was nice getting of the resort and we have a great trip. Got to stay 8 days due to snow storm so we got extra sun. Best advise bring extra sunscreen - used a tremendous amount the sun is a scorcher. Best part be yourself and leave your old self at home. Everyone is comfortable in their bathing suits and everyone and I mean everyone fits in

Great time

We had a great time and compared to the last 8 all inclusives, it was very comparable. Price was dirt cheap. Check in on the Dominica side was a bit painful and our request for 2 rooms in the same building could not be accommodated no matter how many people they called. Activities was great food and dining was great. I want to call out a few staff members that stood out: Willy Wonka, Mr cool, David, Cat Woman, Javier in the steak house. grounds were beautiful and updated recently.

Great value!

We did the deal of fortune! Very happy with the choice. Had a few bumps in the road 1. It wasn't clear as to where we were to go once off the plane to connect with the transfer company, took a bit of walking around and asking before we found someone to direct us to the right bus. 2. The resort was very nice however the beach was eroded but still enough to get your feet wet however you can walk next door and the beaches are beautiful so not a big deal . 3. our room on the second morning (building 28 ground floor) was nasty!! Our room flooded with sewage into our shower and all over the bathroom floor. They were a little while coming to fix it so we just went to our transat rep and he spoke to reception and they gave us a new room and upgraded us as well for the inconvenience. 4. Some of the restaurants we had to wait 30-60 mins to be seated . The buffets had a lot of variety! 5.Please make sure you have a major credit card as we didn't and depended on our DEBIT VISA . When booking spa treatments or excursions the card wouldn't work and they just billed it to our room so when we went to pay upon checkout at the end of the week the front desk said they take debit visa however it wouldn't work. So we ended up having to use the ATM there and it is only in DR pesos! Our $250 US ended up costing us over 300US yikes!!! So I recommend if you don't have a major credit card to purchase the prepaid visa or MasterCard ones at shoppers drugstore so you can avoid this! 6. Excursions were fun and very informative . do the Barevo runner safari it was very culturally friendly! Most of the other excursions are more commercialized . If you do the dune buggies make sure you pack a handkerchief for each person to cover your face. It's very dusty and they charge $5 each if you don't have your own. 7. You will hear about and taste what they call mama Juana if you choose to buy some wait until you get back to the airport it's only 21$ for a 1.5 L . Or 9$ for the 700 ml . they sell at the the 700 ml at the resort or around the neighbourhood or excursions for 20-30$ . The worst part of the trip had nothing to do with the resort but wanted you to be aware. Be prepared to be delayed!!!! Our flight was scheduled to leave at 10 pm and we sat in the plane on the Tarmac until 2 am because of what we heard was ground crew trying to smuggle drugs in passengers checked baggage. They had to unload all luggage scan and rescan , so if you have a connecting flight you may want to think about getting a later flight in case of situations like this! Overall it was a very nice trip! As long as you realize where you are and that you need to have some patience and understanding With the language barrier.

The Pirate ship excursion - total blast for you and the young 'uns.

Scuba diving - there's a fee, but the you can't beat the view.

The restaurants can be busy with lots of families, but you have plenty of options and you don't have to make reservations.
