Paradise Needs a Little Work
My first all-inclusive and first trip to the Caribbean and it was interesting. The resort is OK, a little rough around the edges, but they have a great, though very manufactured, beach. My biggest issue was the lack of signage, both around the property (finding the building our rooms were in was an adventure), and in the World Cafe, the main buffet restaurant. Food was labeled with the main ingredient in it (chicken, beef, potatoes, etc.) but no information about how it was prepared or what was in it. If you have food allergies, you should be careful. The food and drinks are plentiful, but if you are a late night person, bring snacks because there is nothing really available after midnight. Also, the restaurants are confusing, the menus are limited, and the dress codes are enforced very inconsistently. For the beach, they have a policy that loungers may not be reserved, which is great. First come, first serve works fine. Except, when other guests yell at you and force you out of your lounger because they think they reserved it. Kind of scary and not a great experience. I was also surprised that, while very efficient at their jobs, 90% of the staff seemed miserable to be working there. The women at the front desk, the women in the gift shop, and a couple of the bartenders were nice, but most of the staff seemed like they were treated very badly by management or not paid very much or maybe both. Overall, the Caribbean was interesting once, and I might visit again sometime, but not at Sunscape.

Sunglasses stolen, left in room with broken lock & no elevators
Beach chairs were sub par and hard to get out of. Door lock for glass sliding door was broken in my room and I was left in it overnight with no repair. Sunglasses were stolen from my room. Be sure to get towels when you arrive as it closes at 5 and pools close ridiculous early at 6 PM. Food was not great and just ok. No elevator and was not offered help with luggage. No conditioner only shampoo & body wash in shower. We found out the last day when leaving that there was a place for ice cream. Hotel needs updating.

Stay elsewhere
Stayed at this hotel 19 years ago when it was Breezes and it looks exactly the same. No upgrades or renovations, looks run down. Rude staff, long wait times for meals, A/C in room was not working and even after 3-4 complaints, no one ever fixed it and we were told no other room was available.

Literally stay anywhere else on the island
The resort is dirty and run-down. The food is awful, and the service is almost worse than the food. The staff will treat you like an annoyance for wanting to eat or get a drink. The room service will never show, so don't bother trying. We came for a romantic honeymoon and ended up spending as little time as possible at the resort because of how bad it was! We spent money getting food and drinks off the resort every day, just trying to enjoy our honeymoon. 100% skip this "resort"!

Family Vacation
You get what you paid for…… staff extremely helpful and polite… hotel and casino very dated and in need in major update and renovations. Pool closes at 6pm. Long wait at all restaurants as hotel is understaffed.
