Wouldn't stay agaiin

I went to celebrate my birthday weekend and choose this resort as there was sale . Coming to this place is easy but I would say resort is very small and resort is newly renovated. Beach is not that clean and pool is smalll. There is nothing much do if u stuck in this resorts . Less dinning option and Be care full about mixed drinks . I got stomach uset with mixed cocktails because they using cheap alcohols. They should give wifi as freee for guest. . I would rather spend more money and stay in other resorts . .if u don't cAre about quality then this is the place . .

This was our first experience out of the country, as well an all inclusive resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, enjoyed the friendliness of all the employees. The food was awesome, and the resort was quite clean and well maintained. We took in 2 excursions which was well worth it, as well as educational.

Worst Hotel Ever!!!

where do i begin??!!! I vacation often and only use Cheap Caribbean. This hotel by far was the worst ever. Don't believe the hype with all their stellar ratings. They're fake. They bribe their guests to write good reviews for a days worth of free WIFI. when they approached me with this "deal" i told them i had already purchased WIFI for the week. I was then begged to write a good review because this staff person would get in trouble if he doesn't get a few guests to write a good review and show proof. I felt bad for the guy so i allowed him to create an account and write the review himself using my name on a pretty popular review site. The food is terrible. there aren't many options to choose from. The specialty restaurants sucked so bad my boyfriend and I just didn't bother anymore. Not that many options at all. If it wasn't for the "pizza shop" located by the pool my boyfriend and i would have starved the entire trip. the pools close at 7pm and they scare the life out of you about heading to the beach at night stating its public and anyone can pass through including the local hookers and thieves. on their "festival night" you are harassed by local vendors to buy their cheaply made necklaces and liquor and if you don't they are very nasty and rude towards you. Which brings me to other rude staff like the bartenders. Not only do the bars close SUPER early (12am at an all inclusive..really?) but once it is nearing closing time (even 30 mins till closing) the bartenders do not want to serve you or they serve you your drink and are sooo completely rude that you think twice about asking for another. after the lobby bar closes you can head over to their "night club" and drink until 2am where the bartender there is also just as rude. The only bartender that was truly the nicest person working in that entire resort was the beach bartender named Juan (his partner is also extremely rude and "forgets" to add the liquor to your drinks). If it wasn't for Juan i don't know what we would have done. During our stay they also decided to take pictures of their resort to update their website. At the current guests expense of course, we were asked several times to leave the beach and head to the pool so they can take photos. After about an hour we were then asked to leave the pool and head towards the Kiddie pool so they can now take photos of the pool area. So i am glad they got their photos to fool the rest of the world about their horrible resort but i wish they would have done it another way where the guests would not have been disturbed. All in all, if i could i would rate this resort with a very strong negative 10. please i beg you... DO NOT STAY AT THIS RESORT!!! it will be a waste of your time and money. Cheap Caribbean has so many other resorts to choose from. Chose any other one, other than this one. you will regret it.

What's to Love

Assuming rock star status while checking in on the red carpet and nibbling on treats.

Kids get a passport that will kick off a scavenger hunt (read: keeps them occupied so you can chill)

The Pirate Ship Excursions - grab your eye patches and hop aboard.

The teal waters that hug El Cortecito Beach, which will hypnotize you for hours.

Swimming with dolphins - Bucket List item you must do.

Scuba diving - there's a fee, but dive in. It's a memory-making kind of thing.

Snagging a boat over to the sublime Saona Island - an unforgettable day trip.

The indoor theater with spectacular shows. Order a drink and prepare to be "wowed."

What We'd Change

Sometimes it's hard to find complete peace at the pool, but this is a family-friendly resort so lots of young ones will be splashing around.

Why You Should Go

It's only 25 minutes from the airport - Instant Happiness is very close.

You can go reef exploring, whale watching or for less water, hang out in a floating spa.

Isla Catalina is near and has dramatically beautiful coral reefs for snorkeling & diving.

The resort can arrange an intimate dinner - just for two - in a variety of romantic spots.

Play a round at the Cocotal Golf Course designed by the famous Pepe Gancedo.

Hoyo Azul, a natural lagoon of crystalline water, is 38 minutes away. It's breathtaking.

Water sports rule here with catamaran sailing, snorkeling cruises, and deep sea fishing.

The 16th century Mediterranean village, Altos de Chavon, is a must-see.
