5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had the most amazing trip! Our ocean front room was exceptional and COLD! Plenty of space to spread out and the furnishings were gorgeous. We spent every afternoon on the patio, either on the sofa or enjoying the plunge pool! The beach was beautiful as well - very little seaweed. But most importantly, the staff was amazing! We spent one night in building 17 and the concierge there, Guillermo, was fantastic! He got us moved over to building 27, at our request, the following day and put us in the hands of Marcelo, the concierge of that building. Marcelo checked up on us daily to ensure we were enjoying our stay! They both went out of their way to make sure we were having a fantastic time! Truly, everyone couldn’t have been nicer. Both the pool and the beach had plenty of chairs available. We opted for the beach cabana every day, which is an upcharge, but so lovely for relaxation. Preferred Club is the way to go - especially with the private Beach Club access. The food was terrific there and a nice place to unwind to get away from crowds. All in all, a great trip! We will be back!

Celebration Getaway—Thanks to Marcelo Marin!”
We had an extraordinary stay at Secrets Maroma Beach—an adults‑only paradise that exceeded every expectation. The property is breathtakingly beautiful: picture perfect white‑sand beaches, lush tropical gardens, and elegant architecture that creates a serene and intimate escape. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable across the board. But a special shout‑out goes to Marcelo Marin, our personal concierge in Building 27. Whether it was dinner reservations, spa time, or a surprise for my 40th birthday, Marcelo was always ready, attentive, and graceful under pressure. Truly the gold standard of concierge service. Dining across the resort was a delight—from delicious buffet breakfasts to amazing fine dining at Himitsu, Portofino, Bordeaux, and more. Each meal was memorable, and every drink was crafted to perfection. The spa deserves its own praise. The hydrotherapy and offerings were deeply relaxing and genuinely worth every minute—especially when topped off with a cool, rejuvenating treat. We stayed in a group for my birthday, and the resort balanced romance and celebration beautifully. Whether paired up or celebrating with friends, the vibe felt thoughtful, special, and tailored to our needs. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Secrets Maroma Beach is a gem—for romantic couples or groups alike, looking for luxury, relaxation, and service that truly cares.

One of the top resorts in the Cancun area!
My wife and I just returned from a week at Secrets Maroma and had an amazing time. We went with two other couple friends and everyone had a great time. The resort is doing to renovations which we didn't find out about until the last minute but other than a few little issues (more on that later), those were not a big deal. Overall, the service was better than any other resort we have been to in the Cancun area and the food was incredible. We arrived on a Tuesday evening and were greeted by the staff at the door. We were booked in the Preferred Club. Due to our group size, they chose to register us in the main lobby. Not really a big deal since were close the bar and overall the process was quick. We were taken to our rooms in Building 25 where we all had swim-out rooms. Fortunately, they were able to get us all 3 into the same building so our swim-out pools were connected. The first evening we met our building concierge, Roberto, who turned out to be amazing. Roberto checked on us daily to make sure everything was ok or to see if we needed anything. Even though most of the restaurants don't take reservations, Roberto was able to contact each restaurant and let them know our party of 6 was coming that evening. This drastically shortened our wait time when we arrived for dinner. Any issue we had, Roberto took care of it without hesitation. The most impressive thing, Roberto called us and all of the guests of Buildind 25 by name every time we walked by. With 40 rooms and upwards of 80 guests, this showed his commitment to his job and our enjoyment. If given the choice, I would highly recommend staying in Building 25 or whereever Roberto is located. All of the food was amazing. We tried almost all of the specialty restaurants. The first night was the steak house. We were able to sit outside and avoid having to get dressed up after a long day of traveling. The food and service were exceptional. One night we went to Portofino (Italian). Again, the food and service were outstanding. One highlight was our waiter, Sergio, made a tableside smoked manhattan that was awesome. Definitely recommend the restaurant and the drink. The only restaurant that does take reservations is the Japanese tepanyaki tables. The food was good and the chef was great. The waiter, Antonio, was excellent. He was entertaining and took time to talk to us before and after the meal. Our final night was at Oceana (seafood). Again, the food was amazing but the service was over the top with Hugo. Two of our friends were celebrating their anniversary and the staff took time to congratulate them and bring them a special dessert. Also, one of our friends was not a seafood fan but was able to get a steak from the other restaurant rather than order something off the menu. We spent most of our time in the main pool which was great. While it does have a swimup bar, the poolside wait staff was very attentative. Our favorite and by far the best one we had was Melissa. She remembered our drinks and circulated around to our group frequently so there was very little waiting. The food around the pool was good and convenient with the pizza being awesome. Reuben at the pizza stand was the best. He was pleasant to interact with and the food was great. Our friends did check out the spa for a complimentary massage. Overall, it was good with the caveat that you have to be careful of what you agree to because there are up charges to some of the treatments. Our friend was offered a selection of oils but did not realize he would be charged for them until he checked out and there was a $25 charge. The masseuse, Selena, offered him a choice but was not clear that some of them came with an additional charge. The lack of transparency was frustrating. The pool activities were good and there were lots of things to do if you wanted to. The staff was not super pushy which is a relief compared to some resorts. The nightly entertainment was good but often overlapped with dinner so we didn't get to see many of the shows. The beach is super nice with soft, white sand and plenty of places to relax. The water was warm and if you were out early, the seaweed wasn't too bad. As the day goes, the seaweed gets worse but they do a good job of keeping it cleaned up. The only real downside, was the renovation that was going on. We didn't know about the construction until a couple of days before our visit but it really wouldn't have changed our decision to go. The worst part was the nighttime construction. Mostly likely due to the heat during the day, some of the work took place at night. The sound of power tools, like jackhammers, between 11pm and 1am, was annoying. Overall, our vacation was amazing and the resort is definitly one of top ones we have been to within the Hyatt collection. We can't wait to see it renovated and will definitely return soon.

Secrets Maroma ~ a wonderful get away
My husband and I just got back from the Secrets Maroma resort. We were recommended by friends to visit and stay because they were so impressed with it. I have to say it did not disappoint. The food was wonderful, so delicious and well done. The service and the staff was so attentive they were second to none . I have to give a shout out to Marco and Manuel at the pool. They were so gracious and worked so hard to make sure all the guests were take care of. I would Definity recommend this resort to anyone looking for a romantic get away.
