Very nice!!
This was our first visit to Mexico and we will definately go back!! Secrets Maroma was an awesome place and treated us like royalty! We loved it!!
Secrets Maroma is the perfect destination for couples. My husband and I had the best time ever. With pool and ocean side food and drinks, great nightly entertainment, and friendly service you cant go wrong. The room was amazing even better than i could imagine. Delicious food, and coconut ice cream (my husbands favorite), also a pretty cool night club. The only thing i would change is the price of spa treatments, very expensive. We will return for sure.
My husband and I were looking for a relaxing vacation after me being in school for the last 2 1/2 years and also completing Tough Mudder, a 12 mile 32 obstacle course. We just wanted a week to unwind and relax and at Secrets Maroma Beach we were able to do that fully. The resort was beautiful and the staff were amazing. Anything that we needed they were right there to accommodate us, not that we had many things we needed because they really thought of everything. the room was very comfortable and full of little extras. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it that was for sure. Also the wait staff were right there to bring you another drink as soon as your glass was empty. The entertainment team was there to get you involved in activities but was not overly pushy, if you just wanted to lay by the pool they were respectful of they. They would also remember your name and that was amazing to me seeing as the number of people they meet on a daily basis. Secrets Maroma Beach is an excellent resort and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a week of relaxation and pampering.
We had a great time on our vacation. Its about 25 minutes south of the Cancun airport on a two lane highway, quick and easy especially if you get a car service to drive you.
The Staff was amazing, I mean every single person was extremely polite and friendly. They will do absolutely anything to ensure you are having the greatest time ever.
the dining choices were good but each restaurant was a bit slow (dinner took about 2 hours at a minimum.)
The beach was great, sand was powder and soft! The rooms are amazing, high quality & clean. Ana, one of the beach service women, was so friendly, attentive, and always had a great smile!
They had de-humidifiers so it helps with that damp feeling in the rooms. Carlos run building #26 (very close to the beach & a GREAT view.) He is outstanding, so friendly and truely cares about you and how things are going.
Bring your bug spray (especially in Sept/Oct) or you'll be in for some bites! All in all, I would go back to this resort in a heart beat.

To upgrade you have to pay. Just ask the front desk at check in, or call ahead before your trip.

We've discovered that this can be done only through the initial reservation. Any changes that need to be made will be acknowledged, but not followed through.
Our initial comments were submitted back in 2010 and do not give us the option for new comments.
The resort intially was outstanding. However, on our 3rd visit, we make the follwing recommendations: Cushions on the resort/beach area need replacing. They've become old and uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The service throughout the pool/beach area has become vacant, unless you were "tip" friendly. Resort initiated a "SmartRoom" approach that directs rooms to shut off electricity with no movement in the room. I got sick and became bed-ridden, electricity shut off numoursly......very disappointing......
TV reception was non-existent....snowy, Spanish speaking only, etc.
