Love the cliffs, but....
I would not tell anyone to stay at Samsara. No coffee pot in the room, I was chewed up by mosquitos in my room at night. The hours for dining are very restrictive, so all inclusive is not a great deal. The staff was wonderful. No safe in the room, but they had safe deposit boxes in the office for rent. The bedding was iffy, Views from the seaside rooms was peekaboo. And I have to say, it is the first time I have ever seen a "cold tub". What were they thinking? All inclusive drinks stop at 10pm and the dirty banana tasted moldy!! The hotel drivers were super, can't thank them enough. Legends was crowded, two resorts on the same small stip of beach and shade was at a preimum. I guess that I am a spoiled American, but I have stayed at better places on the cliffs, so next time I will go just down the road, I will never get tired of Negril and the west end.

Wouldn't recommend Samsara.
Samsara Hotel was so horrible, we booked another hotel in Negril and lost the money we had paid to Samsara. It was that bad, we would rather lose money than stay there. Please take note of other bad reviews, the Cheap Caribbean customer service told me not to worry about bad reviews because some people that don't stay there put the reviews up, but PLEASE pay attention. I lost over $300 because they wouldn't let me change my reservation due to the extremely low quality of this resort. In fact, I think Cheap Caribbean should remove this resort from their site, they shouldn't be advocating for such a poor property.

50 rooms include charming cottages, romantic pillar houses and traditional air-conditioned rooms. Rooms have one or two beds, private bathroom, ceiling fans, and verandahs looking out over the tranquil gardens, gorgeous seascapes and fiery sunsets. All rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished.
All rooms include ceiling fans and some rooms are also air-conditioned. Decor features tile floors, tropical-wood furniture, and richly colored fabrics. Rooms are strewn with fresh blossoms for guests' arrival. Televisions have cable channels and there are direct dial telephones.
We love the incredible setting that is Samsara Cliff Resort in Jamacia. Soaking in a pool atop the beautiful cliffs makes this resort unique.
What We'd Change
Getting to the beach requires going down a series of ladders and steps, but the beautiful setting makes it worth the effort. Or, you could jump off the cliff.

Taking advantage of the incredible views, the pool sits on top of the resort property, where you might find it hard to choose between closing your eyes and floating lazily, or laying back and watching the clouds skitter across the bright skies. For a different kind of kicking back, claim your spot on one of the sun-splashed decks carved from the cliffs and offering a perfect place to bask in the sun. Later, watch the sun slowly sink into the calm waters while sitting in the rooftop Jacuzzi and sipping a refreshing cocktail.
If you're more of a beach bum, head down to the white-sand beach via a series of steps and ladders that easily take you down to the waves. Or, if you are feeling particularly daring, get down the traditional island way with cliff jumping. The waters below the tall cliffs are deep enough to pose a hazard, and Samara Cliff Resort & Spa has friendly staff who can show you where to take the plunge with this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Of course you can explore the waters without having to jump off a cliff; the resort features a PADI-certified dive shop. Make arrangements to become scuba certified or just go on a snorkeling tour to goof off with the clownfish.
Finally, after working up an appetite, you'll be glad the buffet at Samsara Restaurant is all you can eat. Once a week the restaurant features Jamaica Night, pairing Jamaican cuisine with live entertainment and groovy reggae music.
