7 POLLOS

Geraldo and Clara by the pool, Eudis from the casino, Thomas from the lobby, Felipe and Felix from the trolleys, Jean from the travel club (really hope I'm not forgetting anyone) ! All of these wonderful human beings made my trip memorable with their amazing service !!! It was my boyfriends 31st birthday and they brought me a cake and even helped with the birthday surprise. The breakfast here was okay, a bit bland for my taste but the lunch and dinner at various locations were all really really great so I got past the breakfast! The resort was also huge so it was cool to go to the other parts besides the royal suites. Also, make sure to ask what activities are taking place since there are sooo many !!! We went to a foam party and a party in the lobby which was supposed to be a beach party but it rained so it was moved inside, there was bull riding and so many other fun activities to partake in! My only complaint was my butler ? If That is what you're paying for don't even bother, we saw him the first day and that was about it. Charli was nice but his service wasn't great, we asked for cranberry juice and he brought it to us 6 hours later lol we didn't really see him much and I told him about my disatisfaction other wise, he was a nice guy. We made sure to tip him nice the first day so idk but we also made sure to tip everyone else bc people were just so sweet and helpful to us. I would recommend the swim up suites, soooo nice to just wake up in the morning and go to the pool. The room service was also cool just took a while to get the food but that's normal anywhere you go. It was still warm when it arrived to our room. I would go to this resort again we left and went to drinkpoint a local bar down the street and it was safe and a lot of fun !!!! We got a bottle of Hennessy for 100 dollars and if you're from NY you know that's a steal when you're used to paying 3-400 for a Hennessy bottle. Either way we had a blast Group of 4 and no major complaints!!! 7POLLOS !!!

Too Many Solicitors

We booked this resort for our honeymoon and it was the first time using cheap Caribbean and going to Punta Cana. Naturally being in the Caribbean was beautiful and we were happy with the beach, pools, and weather. The resort being all inclusive was nice and there were many dining options to choose from. We did get tired of the food pretty early in the trip. We felt like it didn't have much taste and there were a couple meals that upset our stomachs. We started to eat lite each meal and focused more on fruit, vegetables, and pasta instead of meat. The food in the restaurants were bearable, however the room service food was extremely dissatisfying. The room service food was undercooked and not appealing to eat at all. We would also recommend eating at the themed restaurants instead of the buffet style restaurants. The actual resort facilities were nice and you could tell they had made updates to them. I feel the room we stayed in was nice and big and we loved the bathroom and the jacuzzi in the room. You could tell there were some water marks on the ceiling that needed to be fixed, but it wasn't anything extremely noticeable. It was also nice to be able to access other resorts on the property and being in the royal suites we could go wherever we wanted. All of the staff we interacted with were nice and very helpful. It seemed like everyone enjoyed their jobs. The most dissatisfying part of the trip and the reason we would not return to the resort is the constant harassment and solicitation by the travel club members to join the club as well as staff trying to sell massages at the spa. We were on our honeymoon and just wanted to relax and everywhere you turned there were people asking you to take a tour, join the travel club, or book a massage. They were even stationed outside the breakfast restaurant or at the end of sidewalks to try and get you while you passed. We even had an encounter where we were detoured from going to breakfast ourselves because they took us all the way over to the travel club to go on an hour tour. We just wanted to eat breakfast and had to get visibly frustrated with them before we could get away. That same day another travel club member tried to detour us on the way to the beach and again we had to get upset with them and just walk away visibly angry. They would never take no for an answer and almost tried to make you feel guilty for not going with them. We also saw them on the beach actually pull other guests off to go with them. We wanted to relax on our vacation, enjoy each other and the resort and we found ourselves constantly being harassed to take a tour or buy a massage and ended up taking alternate routes to avoid running into these people. We would love to go back to Punta Cana one day, but we would not choose this resort again due to all the solicitation.

The resort was definitely not exclusive to "adults only" There were a few good employees, but the majority gave lots of attitude. They didn't work toward receiving a possible tip. They almost wanted you to tip them first. I had several problems with my room, to include a broken shower head, shower door, inoperable television and broken toilet! There were two many people soliticing in ever dark crack and crevice. All fthe food was cold and beers were hot! They serve your drinks in 6 ounce plastic "glasses "????? There was no opportunities to meet or speak with Management??? The overal cleanliness and appearance of the resort was a C+ at best! Definitely not 5 star appearance! Cancun resort sets the bar very high for this resort!! I will definitely not recommend this resort to any of my friends or coworkers! Our room leaked water for 4 days, we were told it was a air conditioner leak but not repaired. The glass shower door was off track dragging on the floor! We were afraid it would crack or break causing serious injury! Never repaired! We were held hostage at 4:30 am so they could count glass alcohol bottles before we were able to check out! Did I say the food quality sucked even the deserts! Cheese cake was cut into small squares with all artificial ingredients! STAY AWAY!!!!!

Extremely disappointed

Food: The food was borderline inedible. There were a few things at the buffet that were okay. The restaurants were not good. The Brazillian restaurant legitimately served me a spoiled piece of meat. All the "restaurants" are reservation only and they are never on time. The time the buffet opened changed every day, but it didn't have any hours posted. Wait staff: Wait staff was fine. They were all very pleasant, but they were VERY loud in the early mornings. It made it impossible for me to sleep past 5 am. Pools and Beaches: The pools weren't heated. Water was too cold to swim. The beaches were fine, but half the time the bars were closed. Not sure why. Drink service was non existent. No servers walked around the pools or the beaches. I won't be going back.
