FIRST TIME IN MEXICO.

It was my first trip to Mexico, where I stayed at the Royal Solaris Hotel. I absolutely loved my room; I was in an ocean view room which faces the Caribbean Sea. The view was magnificent. The food was delicious, most staffs were friendly besides a few food/drink servers who seemed like they hated their jobs so much and were giving people attitude. The beach and pool are amazing. The food in that area is so goooood! However, I did not like the drinks, it was watered down. Other than that, everything else is great. Big SHOUT OUT FOR THE HOUSE KEEPING PERSONNEL in this hotel, they are so professional and very good at what they do. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for everyone and I would definitely go back next time.

Royal Solaris Is A Great Time

My three friends and I had a great time at The Royal Solaris for a great value of under $1100 for seven nights. The resort was beautiful, close to the airport, right on the beach, and close to city center. Cheap Caribbean handled everything great with booking and transportation. Everything was in order when we arrived to the day we left. Beach is beautiful. Pools are great. Dining options are everywhere. Excursion possibilities are endless. Staff is smiling and welcoming, City is great and feels safer than Jamaica or DR. Room is spacious and clean with great housekeeping services. It's a very diverse crowd with families, couples, and all sorts of nationalities. Staff is exceptionally trained in English. This is NOT a party resort though. To party, you will have to leave the hotel and go to the city. But, if you're just chilling with friends or family, the late night bar is enough. Tequila is as smooth as can be. Only annoyance was the sales pitch on a membership to the resort family. We heard them out to receive discounts on excursions, but do NOT give them the time of day without several gifts coming your way first. We all declined the membership offer.

Good budget vacation

We stayed here for 6 nights. Before purchasing I was suspicious at first and concerned about the quality of this resort since we always stayed at 5 Star resorts. But we had a budget for this vacation and it turned out very nice. We payed $3,000 for 6 nights for 3 people! Couldn't find a better deal for a family vacation!! At arriving we upgraded our room from lagune to ocean view on the 6 floor for just $216. It was totally worth it! Beautiful see view! Service was very good, everyone was trying very hard to please you in every way. We love seafood but there were no choice of that at the buffet, only one type of fish; however, there were plenty of other food: many choices of very tasty chicken, stakes, 4 different kind of soup every day. Marco Polo restaurant service was very good. You will not starve in this resort but you have to be realistic and do not expect any shrimp and lobster dinner! It is more simple but clean and nice. See was very warm, we swam there from morning till sunset! Entertaining was nice, the same as in every resort in Mexico. If you have a budget and want to have a relaxing family vacation this is a good place. Cheap Caribbean recommended us this place when I said that our budget is only $3000 and we were pleased with this choice. The only problem for us was the internet connection. We had to work from our laptop and WiFi connection is horrible at this resort. The charge for internet is $16 per day per each device. We payed but had connection for just one day and no connection the rest of the stay; However, the resort was nice about it refunded us all the money for those days when we had no WiFi in the room. (Your cell phones work just fine btw). Overall it was a good experience, we had a blast at the beach each day and our 8 years old son had fun at kids club playing Xbox 1 games and "Just Dance 2017" with other older kids while little kids had their own age appropriate programs and games at the kids pool. Thanks Royal Solarius.

Just because we had an arm band (Cattle Tag basically) the service crews are *** unless you "TIP" them a $20USD for a drink or two. It costs a TON for internet/wi-fi. JUST ****~!! And to top it off WE were ROBBED at the Cancun airport when I had the guy in my grasp SCREAMING that I knew he had my wallet, a FAKE cop "Helped" me away from him!

What's to Love

The breathtaking sands and turquoise waters are some of the prettiest we ever seen. Bonus: the tranquil waves that whisper your name for an afternoon swim.

Made-to-order, scrumptious brick oven pizzas served by the pool (lunch with a killer view always wins.)

Check out the theatre - a smorgasboard of shows, including comedy, Broadyway, Mayan and more. It's different each night!

Tons of super fun activities for the young ones - each day is a different theme - Tuesdays are Pirate Days (Aye, Matey!)

Full-service stress-ousting spa where you are fussed over and pampered.

What We'd Change

The resort is busy, active and you might see lots of fun families - keep this in mind if you're looking for lots of peace and quiet.

Why You Should Go

In the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone - once you land, you'll be soaking in the sweet sun beachside in no time.

Swoon-worthy views of the Caribbean Sea from almost every spot at the resort.

For those that want to kick it up a notch and party in Cancun, a one-way shuttle will take you into town. (Your secrets are safe with us).

The two-level pool is full of nooks and crannies to explore so you can find the best spot to spend your day.

A mini-water park is a major hit with your little angels (and a hit with you - they will be happily worn out.)
