Budget bang for your buck

I want to start my review by saying that I suffer from an autoimmune disease and I have multiple food allergies. If this is your concern, this review is what you are probably looking for. We were upgraded to the Caribe side, which was nice. However, they tried very dilligently to get us to go to a timeshare presentation. Very pushy. We didn't go and we were fine after the first day, but that he was disappoiting. The food was cruise food quality. I don't think the reviews rating the food was fair- you get what you pay for! With my food allergies, I can say I would not have made it without the upgrade to GR Caribe. Other than that, expect cruise quality food. It's not horrible, but it's certainly not a five star restaurant. They do as much as they can to please. All service workers were fantastic. Very accommodating!

AMAZING VACATION!!!

PRO's - STAFF, RESTAURANTS, CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOL, NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT, OVERALL FACILITY - EXCELLENT!!! CON'S - WiFi too spotty, Hallways too loud (especially with room by elevators) Our personal experience with staff - EVERYONE was so helpful and fantastic!!! This was my first REAL vacation in 24 years and I brought my 18 year old twins to celebrate their birthday/graduation from high school. We all thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. Four people that really went above and beyond to make our stay even more enjoyable!! Sergio - our concierge representative. He made us feel very welcome and was very thorough explaining the all-inclusive package - no surprises at check out time.Any time he saw us in the hotel he always asked if there was anything we needed and how everything was going. Ambrocio - one of the wait staff members was so personable and so much fun to talk too!! BEST LAUGH EVER!!! He was so amazing and definitely made us feel welcome!! Israel - another wait staff member was such a doll and very accommodating for our needs. Both Ambrocio and Israel were very sincere and fun!! Every day when we went to breakfast or dinner we always searched them out to sit in their section. WONDERFUL young men!! Last but not least . . . Roger!!! He was the gentleman that took me on a tour and explained the vacation club option. I didn't have it in my budget to purchase anything but we will definitely be back next year!! THANK YOU for such a wonderful vacation and great memories with my daughters!! You're the best!!!

Fantastic Resort

We just returned from a 5 day 4 night trip to Cancun Mexico and stayed at the Royal Solaris. This was our first time at an all inclusive resort and let me start by saying wow. I had heard mixed reviews about the all inclusive experience. I think it depends on which resort you stay at. My experience with the Royal Solaris was that it was top notch in terms of service, food, and relaxation. The pool is beautiful and the resort does a great job in planning fun daily activities. The only thing that I was a bit disappointed in was the rooms. Ours was a bit small and had a view of the street and parking lot instead of the beach. The shower in the bathroom was difficult to use due to the water pressure and temperature regulation. However, if your planning on hanging out by the pool and beach and not spending a lot of time in your room this won't matter much. Overall for the value the Royal Solaris was a great place.

What's to Love

The breathtaking sands and turquoise waters are some of the prettiest we ever seen. Bonus: the tranquil waves that whisper your name for an afternoon swim.

Made-to-order, scrumptious brick oven pizzas served by the pool (lunch with a killer view always wins.)

Check out the theatre - a smorgasboard of shows, including comedy, Broadyway, Mayan and more. It's different each night!

Tons of super fun activities for the young ones - each day is a different theme - Tuesdays are Pirate Days (Aye, Matey!)

Full-service stress-ousting spa where you are fussed over and pampered.

What We'd Change

The resort is busy, active and you might see lots of fun families - keep this in mind if you're looking for lots of peace and quiet.

Why You Should Go

In the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone - once you land, you'll be soaking in the sweet sun beachside in no time.

Swoon-worthy views of the Caribbean Sea from almost every spot at the resort.

For those that want to kick it up a notch and party in Cancun, a one-way shuttle will take you into town. (Your secrets are safe with us).

The two-level pool is full of nooks and crannies to explore so you can find the best spot to spend your day.

A mini-water park is a major hit with your little angels (and a hit with you - they will be happily worn out.)
