Tired of dreaming about a trip to the beach? Rooms on the Beach, Negril is the answer to your dream This intimate 57-room resort is located directly on Negril's renowned Seven Mile Beach. It's hard to believe that the tranquil garden setting is within walking distance of excellent restaurants, Negril nightlife, duty-free shops and boutiques, as well as a great craft market. But it's all here.

Great location on the beach
This hotel is on a nice section in the middle of 7 mile beach, Negril. The 'drop off' from the beach is not steep, the water level is reasonably shallow (5-6') for several 100 feet. (other areas of the beach have steeper drop off, far ends are a bit pebbly).
All the facilities are good (gym, pool, hotel rooms are not huge but have good mattresses, flat screen tv and large modern bathrooms. The hotel office has 2 computers for guest use -- connection is fine/not super fast).
On beach on both sides of hotel, there are various vendor stands, cafes, liquor stores & other hotels, so you can easily walk to cafe's that have food or other hotels that have some nightlife. From inside the hotel room, at night you can hear the music from a nearby outdoor club -- i did not find this to be a problem (I live in a city/ am used to light noise). The hotel has good security and will shoo away any pesky vendors.
There is an on site cafe/bar not owned by the hotel. Breakfast is complimentary (before 9.30) - very simple-boiled egg, toast, juice, coffee/tea, and the bar is open noon-early evening. No other meals available on-site but there are decent local places next door / across the road.
I loved the hotels location and the beach at the hotel were great. The wifi had constant issues and took them days to get it up. There are "two" computers in the lobby, but only one works. From day one to day 7 they were saying they are working on it. It was never fixed. It took me three days to get a light bulb in the bathroom of my room. Also, I've never stayed in a hotel where they offer no shampoo at all, and they have those tiny bars of soap that they seem really stingy with. The staff were all great, the bartenders also. They just take doing things on "Jamaica time" to the max. The rooms are modern even with flat screen tv. The gift shop is open 24/7 and sells most basic things you would need that aren't supplied in the room or you forgot. As I said, the location is nice, the staff is nice, the room is nice, and if your not looking for amenities, its very good.
Rooms Negril is a good value. Rooms are kept clean and are comfortable. Service was excellant, we had no complaints at all about the rooms or location. We stayed there with another couple in Feb 09. Great location on the beach, close to Mini Market and many good places for dining, music and drinks. Only complaint was the bar and restaurant onsite. Service was good but food was so-so. Breakfast is minimal, not a full breakfast by any means but enough to get started on. Not somewhere I would eat for lunch or dinner given a choice. Drinks ok - but a bit pricey. I have heard it is now under different management and things have improved. We are staying here again in Feb 2011 so we are looking forward to seeing how the restaurant has improved. Grounds are kept very nice and clean! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt very safe at this location. I would recommend staying here.

Room Information
57 rooms on two stories. Rooms have one king bed or two double beds, are air conditioned, equipped with satellite TV, direct dial phone, internet (additional cost), safety deposit box, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and coffee maker. Each unit has a small tiled bathroom with a shower/tub combination. Continental breakfast is included.

There's no need to fight for a spot on the powdery white-sand beach here. Bask undisturbed in the tropical sun, or walk hand-in-hand with your sweetie. If you prefer, snatch a Negril stinger or a dirty banana from the hotel bar and settle into a poolside lounger to soak up the rays. Tight security around the property prevents unwanted beach vendors from disturbing your serenity. When evening comes, get ready for one of Seven Mile Beach's spectacular sunsets.
A continental breakfast at the hotel's Reggae Cafe is included in the cost of your room, but if you've got a hearty appetite, don't worry. A full American breakfast is also available for an additional charge. The cafe no longer serves lunch or dinner, but the helpful staff can recommend nearby restaurants that best meet your tastes and budget. The hotel offers bar service throughout most of the day, and vending machines with soft drinks and juices are there to satisfy your late-night cravings.
