Divers in search of the best wreck diving in the world can simply walk to the resort's dock to catch a boat to the 400-ft Antilla, one of the best-known shipwrecks in the world. If you aren't a diver, no worries. PADI-certified instructors at the resort are waiting to teach you. Or you might prefer the thrill of parasailing, the challenge of kayaking, or the excitement of jetskiing. Accented by domed, white pavilions and bordered by palms, the pool at Aruba Riu appears like a fantasy straight from the Arabian Nights. Stretch out on a pool chair to bask, or lie back in one of the partially submerged lounges built into the pool itself, but only after a visit to the swim-up bar for a cold one. You'll be famished after your day in the sun, so choose from a buffet with "show cooking" or four a la carte restaurants serving Japanese, Italian and fusion cuisines.

If you love the links, you won't have to go far from the resort to enjoy world-class golf. At the northwestern tip of Aruba, a few miles from the resort, is Tierra del Sol. Robert Trent Jones Jr. incorporated its rough terrain into his design for this 18-hole course, which is the only championship course on Aruba. When your day full of fun is done, head back to your Junior Suite with an Ocean View and a mango daiquiri to sip as you soak in the soothing waters of the hydro-massage bathtub and unwind. Palm Beach rivals any in the Caribbean and has something for everyone. This is a busy beach, windsurfing, sailing, water scooters, diving and fishing are among the many activities available. If you like calm and solitude, this place may not be for you.
