GREAT VACATION
EVERYTHING was great as usual,as promised at riu palace aruba.I wish they would have free wifi in every room and lcd televisions but,i did not go on vacation to sit in the room so that was not an issue.i only had one complaint the whole week i was there but it was remedied in about five minutes.
Just returned from a fabulous week at the Riu Palace Aruba. Great food; immaculate housekeeping; friendly, efficient staff; beautiful beach & pool w/ plenty of chairs; well stocked bars; great entertainment crew. From our welcome drinks to our easy check out - Riu aims to please - and succeeds!! Our only problem was that we couldn't resist the sumptuous buffets!
Pool was great because it is big
Friendly hotel staff
Great and convienent beach
Great food and drinks...all inclusive
One thing I requested but did not have...sugar free syrup for breakfast

The Riu Palace Aruba offers complimentary WiFi in the lobby. You can access the internet in most rooms for an additional fee.
JenCC
Yes, in and around the lobby. Must pay for internet in room.
jlambert297
They have wi-fi. We didnt take laptops because we were on vacation! But saw lots of people in the lobby area using theirs.
ryansrus
yes
GrammaB
The Riu only has free WiFi in the lobby..there are plenty of couches and tables to do work or just play aorund on your computer.
Domino
Yes i does but only in the lobby of the hotel.
moe802
Nope only in the lobby area it's free.
Rozzie
There is free wi-fi internet access in the lobby if you bring your own laptop, ipad, smartphone etc. Access in the rooms costs extra. Also there is a business center where you can buy access for as little as 30 min or as much as 1 day.
Klcar974
The only wi-fi (and it's free) is in the hotel lobby, not the greatest connection. But you won't want to use the internet anyway if you're staying at the Riu! You'll be pre-occupied with much more exciting things!!
KUandNF
Wi-fi is available in the lobby and computers are available in the sports bar but they are pay-for-use
Steveosupremo
yes, but only in the lobby

What water activities are included free of charge? snorkeling? sail boat?11 answers
I have a 18 year old and a 13 year old, just want to make sure there are activities without additional fees!

The resort's web site states that the sports/activities that are included free of charge are: Gym, beach volleyball, workout, aguagym, Sauna and jacuzzi.
A water sports and dive center rents snorkeling gear, pedal boats, and kayaks and arranges diving and snorkeling excursions, as well as a wide variety of motorized water sports - however, be advised that these are all at an additional cost.
KristinCC
None are included but right next to the hotel you can rent snorkel gear for $15.50 for 24 hours and there is also De Palm"s Dock whcih has snorkeling excursions, jet ski's, etc.
Domino
No snorkeling unless you go on a day trip which will cost you. I would advise you bring your own snorkel equipment.. Many people did. There is nothing free of charge. They do have parasailing which we paid $60 per person and they have a tube ride which was $20.00 a person this was alot of fun.
I hope this helps
moe802
there are none free of charge directly through the hotel but right on the beach outside the hotel snorkeling gear is only about $5-$8 to rent and I suggest Mi Dushi for excursion snorkeling & Madi's Magical Tours for an unforgettable jeep tour of the island!
KUandNF
None of these are included. There is a trustworthy group called fun-4-everyone that is located on the beach in front of the resort and they offer all of the items you are looking for.
Steveosupremo
no activities are included.
Annette
None. The activities coordinator does the typical water polo, beach volleyball etc. However every other activity in the ocean will cost money!
ktvoight
There are no additional beach activities at the hotel. There are a number of snorkeling and boating activities you can book thru DePalm tours, located in the lobby or other providers along the beach.
TraderTJD
There are no free water activities. There's a little hut on either side of the beach offerring excursions for a fee. The cheapest thing was renting a float for US$5.00/day.
Gingersnap
I'm not 100% sure but I didn't see any free water activities. They did however have a lot of games they played at the pool for the younger kids.

Hotel Description
Wreck Diving Adventures From the Aruba Riu
Smack dab in the middle of famous Palm Beach on Aruba's glistening southern shore is the perfect beach resort: Riu Palace Aruba. All inclusive, the area's newest resort offers the best of Aruba: sparkling beaches, coral-encrusted shipwrecks, Colonial architecture and world-class golf.
Divers in search of the best wreck diving in the world can simply walk to the resort's dock to catch a boat to the 400-ft Antilla, one of the best-known shipwrecks in the world. If you aren't a diver, no worries. PADI-certified instructors at the resort are waiting to teach you. Or you might prefer the thrill of parasailing, the challenge of kayaking, or the excitement of jetskiing. On the other hand, for a more leisurely experience, take your sweetie on a pedal-boat excursion. And if you really want to win her heart, book a dinner cruise!
Accented by domed, white pavilions and bordered by palms, the pool at Aruba Riu appears like a fantasy straight from the Arabian Nights. Stretch out on a pool chair to bask, or lie back in one of the partially submerged lounges built into the pool itself, but only after a visit to the swim-up bar for a cold one. You'll be famished after your day in the sun, so choose from a buffet with "show cooking" or four a la carte restaurants serving Japanese, Italian and fusion cuisines.
If you love the links, you won't have to go far from the resort to enjoy world-class golf. At the northwestern tip of Aruba, a few miles from the resort, is Tierra del Sol. Robert Trent Jones Jr. incorporated its rough terrain into his design for this 18-hole course, which is the only championship course on Aruba. When your day full of fun is done, head back to your Junior Suite with an Ocean View and a mango daiquiri to sip as you soak in the soothing waters of the hydro-massage bathtub and unwind. If you need anything, don't worry; the Riu Palace Aruba All Inclusive Resort also boasts 24-hour room service.
