Great trip- my first all inclusive

My first all-inclusive! Everyone at the hotel was great! I especially liked the Riu Fun crew (at the pool) - water aerobics and fun afternoon activities. The drinks were small but that's probably a good thing :) The beach was a little full of sea weed because of the previous 'bad weather'. We were told it's not normally that 'rough' and churned up but we still had fun swimming in both the ocean and the pool. We thought the weather was great but it did rain a little bit for short amounts of time- January can be hit or miss I guess. My friends that I was with have been to several other all-inclusive and said this buffet had the best food and variety of any they had been to. Rooms were very clean and nice. We were on the 11th floor facing the sunset side - it was such a great view. The only downside was for dinner- options were limited if you wanted a restaurant - we got in line at 5:50 for the 6:30 seating at the steakhouse and ate once in the Italian restaurant around 7:30/8pm but other nights we ate at the buffet because it was just easier. No complaints about the food though! I'm sure I gained a few pounds :)

You Have Got To Stay Here!

If you haven't already visited Aruba, or stayed at a RIU Palace Hotel, you have to! I can't say enough about the spectacular views, the friendly people or the pampering staff. Never having used Cheap Caribbean, I was a bit concerned about booking a trip so far away with them. Now, I am singing their praises! They walked us through every necessary step, right up to a final checklist for travel a week before departure. It was the easiest trip-planning we have ever experienced, and the result was an amazing 6 days in paradise with more food, drink and sun than we could have imagined. We stayed at the RIU Palace Antillas, an adult only hotel. It is newly remodeled with a modern feel. We were happy to find that we could also enjoy the amenities of the RIU Hotel Aruba next door. It is a family friendly hotel. There is a paved path that allow easy access to all hotels along the shore, as well as a indoor walk-way between RIU Palace Antillas and RIU Hotel Aruba. Both are all inclusive. Not only was the food plentiful and delicious, it was artful beauty. The talented chefs take great pleasure in feeding the eye as well as the appetite. This was a no-stress vacation. Our thanks to Cheap Caribbean and RIU Hotels for making our 20th anniversary so memorable.

Great vacation spot

Aruba is a beautiful island. Riu was a great place to stay. Nelson was an awesome bartender and made our pool experience the best. He should be commended for his great attitude and entertaining us

What's to Love

All-inclusive everything: the cocktails, the grub, the utter awesomeness of it all.

No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

It's right in the heart of Palm Beach where you can revel in with white sand, teal waves and Caribbean breezes.

Leave the kiddos at home. It's only beach-loving adults at this resort. Is that applause we hear?

Don't miss ordering the Aruba Ahriba drink. It's a specialty. Order up.

Riu prides itself on service, and here is no exception. You'll want for nothing. Prepare to be spoiled.

Activities all day long. Zumba, dancing, pool volleyball - you can join in or cheer on from the swim-up bar.

Eat, swim, drink and check out all the amenities at the family-friendly Riu next door. You have access to use them.

What We'd Change

Sometimes it can be windy on the beach, but find a quiet corner and enjoy the warm, Caribbean sun.
