Short Stay

This spot is good for a short stay. I like to explore the local area when I travel but this resort is up in the hills and not even remotely close to any other activities, shopping, etc., that you can get to without taking a cab or tour bus. Also, the all-inclusive drinks include primarily any drink you can think of that can be made with the locally produced Jamaican Rum or the local beer, neither of which I liked. The food was so-so. I was expecting lots of traditional island foods but the choices seemed to cater more to the European tourists. So, while the food was good, the selection was extremely disappoiinting. The resort itself was nice, enjoyed the beach but would have preferred staying somewhere where getting into town was easier.

Sisters wedding

We needed a quick cheap and easy way to get to see my sister get married and cheapcarribean made that possible for me to afford to take my mother to watch her only daughter get married on the beach in Jamaica! I will and forever recommend this service to anyone looking for a vacation at a cheap price with no strings attached! Thanks again

Riu Ocho Rios

Prepare to start your vacation stressed out, we left in July and getting through customs in Jamaica was a nightmare, however, when we got to the hotel, stress melted away and we were able to start our vacation relaxation. The service at the hotel is good, but I must say when we stayed at the Riu Mayan Riviera it was better, may have something to do with the more relaxed, laid back attitude in Jamaica. Restaurants were also okay, too much repetition on some days, but the jerk chicken on the beach was awesome and the buffet provided some interesting choices. Room comfort was good, but our A/C was on the fritz so it was a bit uncomfortable at times in the heat, but overall, well worth the time and money....can't wait to go back!

It's the newest hotel in Ocho Rios, and it has been designed with fun and entertainment in mind! Great evening shows and, the Pacha Disco were two of my favorites. Of course, as with all RIU's, the quality of the room product is very good, along with the restaurants.

Couldn't always get reservations for the restaurants that I wanted, so book early. Ocho Rios is around 1.5 hours from Montego bay, so make sure you stock up on beer !

If you want a great all round all inclusive with the focus on things to do then this is perfect. Perfect for weddings, couples and families. It offers excellent value for money with an amazing choice of restaurants. Definitely for people that want to have a fun time.
