was disappointed this time

We had stayed at the RIU in Ocho Rio a couple of years ago and felt the service, dining selections and overall stay was much better there. I felt like this was more of a budge hotel instead of a nice hotel. At Ocho Riu we were given champagne with meals & this time they told us we had to buy a bottle for $20. Then we complained, they brought it out & told us not to tell anyone & next bottle would cost $20. Just felt like the service was less this time. We will not go back to RIU's.

Riu Negril

Great hotel and great food. Situated on a beautiful bay and beach. We strolled along the beach quite a ways and the water was perfect all around the bay. We found a spot that had a lot of starfish and eceeded our quota for taking back to ths States. We also saw three sting rays floating near the shoreline and watched them for quite a while. Great holiday and Cheap Caribbean was a supurb travel agent as all of our arrangements went off wiythout a hitch. This is the third time we have booked through them and will continue to do so.

Great family spot

This is a great resort for a family. Tons of space for kids and ample dining choices for those picky little ones. The only down fall is that this is a large resort so if you're planning a romantic getaway this may not be the right fit. But overall there is plenty to do and they have excellent service.

Bloody bay beach is great for swimming and walking

Their gym is very small with little cool machinery. I'd like to see a broader range of work out equipment.

If you are looking for a well rounded all-inclusive resort style property and like lots to do, this is perfect place for couples and families.

Hotel Riu Negril is an all-inclusive property. Located on Bloody Bay Beach, next to Riu Tropical Bay, the company's first resort in Jamaica. Facilities and services offered are outdoor swimming pools with an integrated whirlpool, fitness center, spa, sauna and jacuzzi.

The hotel Riu Negril also offers an entertainment program for children age 4 to 12, children's mini club, playground and children's swimming pool. For adults interested in sports, the hotel offers a variety of activities that include two lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard, snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing and body boarding.

For recreation on the beach, loungers and towel service is provided. For an extra charge, guests can enjoy scuba diving, banana boat rides, golf and horseback riding. Spa services and beauty treatments are also available for an additional fee. There is even a disco onsite where drinks from the bar are included.
