Nice, Short Vacation

It was a very nice vacation. We were there for 6 days and the beach was amazing and the bars were always close by. I wish the food had been better, but we always found something we liked. Using this website for booking this trip made it so easy. We used the transportation they offered and it made it very easy for us to get to our hotel and back to the airport. The company they use for transportation also helped us book a couple of amazing excursions as well.

1st Cheap Caribbean Vacation

This was my first time booking with Cheap Caribbean and I had read previous reviews and now I figured I would go ahead and leave my feedback. I know when I am looking for vacations, I am reading all the reviews and looking for the most detailed and honest ones. I was a little skeptical at first, but I heard positive things so I went ahead and booked. I traveled with my friend so we decided to do the Riu Cancun, purchase airfare, and roundtrip transfer from the airport to hotel and hotel to airport all with Cheap Caribbean. Let me first start that we used Amstar and they were GREAT! They even were onsite at the resort to assist us with booking excursions. Our flight out was early (6AM) and they were right out front of the hotel at 2:50AM to take us to their airport. The rooms were amazing. They looked brand new. We were on the second floor of the hotel so we had palm trees blocking the view of the ocean but it was still beautiful! The rooms were always clean, the minifridge was always stocked with beer, water bottles, and soda. Anything you needed, they were there to provide that to you. The resort itself was amazing. There are three restaurants to choose from which all had amazing food! My favorite thing about the food was how easy and convenient it was. We chose to do the buffet style breakfast, lunch, and dinner most of the time, and the food was always so good! Sometimes you think you are going to get cheap and poor quality food with a buffet, but nope, it was fantastic! The resort itself is just nice all around. There are three pools (one with a swim up bar) and access directly to the beach. I liked having my choice of pool or beach each morning. Drinks were good...and they weren't stingy with the liquor! They also had entertainment every night which honestly made the vacation for me. Most people beach all day, eat dinner, and then are left with not much to do. The entertainment really livened up the people. This resort is in walking distance of the flea market and mall in Cancun...but just be careful of the people. They try to sell you things and drag you into stuff and before you know it they want money. The plus to the Riu Cancun is, there is a Starbucks directly across the street so that was awesome! Great service, great resort, great staff, overall awesome vacation! I highly recommend staying here.

Fun Vacation!

First of all, booking with Cheap Caribbean made our whole trip easy breezy. From purchasing the package to airport transportation, everything was smooth sailing. The Riu Cancun was perfect for what my group was looking for. We are college students on spring break and it catered to everything we needed. The pools were fun, the beach was beautiful and the rooms were clean. Although the breakfast options were great, I gave 4 stars for the dining options because the lunch and dinner could be better but that is always expected with an all-inclusive option. But like I said, it fulfilled all of our Cancun expectations and we will definitely book through Cheap Caribbean in the future. Gracias!

Fun Vacation! Fun Vacation!

Riu Cancun

Right from the check in we had problems. We knew we had to wait for our room as we arrived quite early. The man at check in said if we toom care of him he would take care of us. Were told to come back at noon and we would be good. Gave him 20 bucks for the help. Went back at noon and was told to come back at 1. Went back at 1 and was told to come back at 2. Went back at 2 and we finally got in our room about 2:30. Was told they would send champagne to the room and we never received it. So our 20 dollar tip got us absolutely nothing. Total scam. As for the resort it smells of sewage most of the time. The food is all around pretty good. The only downfall is there isnt a good lunch option around the pool. Every couple of days the have a grillout but thats it. There is very minimal wait staff getting you drinks around the pool. Have to go up to the bar 99% of the time. All in all i would not reccomend this place to others. For the same price there are others that are much better.

What's to Love

No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

No golf carts needed here to get around - you can stumble from the pool to the beach to the restaurants & bars easily.

Three pools with ocean views and breezes means you and your travel mate/partner/husband/wife/dog won't be on top of each other.

The soul-soothing whirlpool off the gym. Yea - you can picture yourself there.

The delicious food & drinks, incredible service, fun-loving entertainment - it's like being wrapped in a cozy beach blanket.

At the cooking stations at the restaurants, they'll cook you up something "on the fly" - now that's what you're talking about!

What We'd Change

The gift shop at the resort is a bit pricey, but right across the street is a large supermarket so you can pick up any groceries you might want or things you forgot for a lot cheaper.

Why You Should Go

It's about 13 miles from the airport & in the smokin' hot Cancun resort area. You've landed in the epicenter of Awesome.

Don't miss Isle Mujeres - stunning beaches, fresh seafood, loads of culture. In town, you can find a museum or two!

You can rent a bicycle and explore that nearby shopping center (or go all the way downtown).

Soak up all that Riu Caribe (sister resort!) has to offer - the diving pool is da bomb.
