Relaxing Resort
Rincon is a laid back cool town. We went for the surfing & found the people, food & beaches to be wonderful! This resort is not directly in town which we found to be a nice contrast to the local flavor. The resort beach is calm & beautiful. A great place to search for Sea Glass a local pastime.
There are great stores for shopping jewelry made from these pieces.
Rincon proper has amazing surf beaches, with HUGE waves! At only 3.5 hours flying from Atlanta to San Juan & a two hour scenic drive. Well worth it! I suggest using one of the many qualified surf instructors for a day or two. Puntas Surf school had a great, beautiful & amazing surf instructor named Mellisa. She put my Husband & I at ease with her careful instruction. There are many hidden dangers along great wave breaks and best to find a knowledgeable local.
The Rincon Beach resort had super friendly staff, bartenders. The restaurant could have used a few more folks working to speed up meal times.I wished the swim up bar had been open. It was not high season yet.But hey it's Island Time! Relax.
Construction on the new Wedding space was almost completed when we left & it looks to be beautiful. The hotel was in the midst of planting new landscaping and it's looked to be a amazing job.
I was impressed with this place. Laid back enough not to feel stuffy but nice enough to know they really care.
Don't miss eating a breakfast at a place off of 413 called the English Rose!!Open Wed-Sat Breakfast only,Amazing!!
Thanks for a lovely vacation!!
