Aruba trip
I researched hi and low, and found the best prices on Cheap Caribbean. Not only were their prices the best and fair, the service and trip ran so smoothly, it was a dream. The Rennaissance Aruba was amazing. We had all inclusive package. We read reviews about the food, the only soso meal we had was at sole italian nite -- but italian food in caribbean not so hot. The rooms were clean ad really comfy. The hotel -- someone was always cleaning something... The bartenders were GREAT! and we booked tours through Depalm and those were equaly amazing. We will be booking again next year through Cheap Caribbean for our adult trip. All in all 5+++++ stars!!!!!
Resort was outstanding! Pools and beach were great! Rooms were bigger and better than we expected! Service was a little slow (island time) but service personnel were outstanding! Several knew us by name! Great dining options- Steak house had delicious lobster and melt in your mouth steak! The Aquarius restaurant had a vast selection of food including a grill option with various seafood cooked to order. All inclusive is the way to go as Aruba can be expensive! Would love to go again!

A wonderful experience!
This was our first triip to Aruba and I booked less than 2 weeks before we left so I didn't do the level of shopping I usually do before a trip. I wanted simple so we chose the all inclusive. My husband and I couldn't be happier. It really was great.
The Renassaince is the closest hotel to the airport and right in the middle of Oranjestad. There is traffic pretty much all the time along with construction, etc. but it didn't even bother us. (However, if you are looking for total peace and quiet you might want something further away from the hustle and bustle). However, the staff was so friendly and service oriented. Everyone was so nice. The food was very good and there was a variety of things to choose from. The room was comfortable and looked like it had been updated recently with the exception of the bathtub (which was strange because the tile and everything else like the granite countertops looked new).
I have to say however, the overall BEST thing about the Renassaince was their private island. Unbelievable! Flamingoes that eat out of your hand and wander the beach, sheltered snorkeling, a nature path, an abundance of wildlife to admire and a wait staff to bring anything you want! Ths alone was worth the price. My husband and I have already decided that we want to come back just for the island. It was peaceful and quiet, and just plain beautiful.
We stayed in the Marina which is located above a beautiful upscale mall with a Starbucks and the private boat which takes you to their island comes right in below the lobby. It is just a couple blocks from the cruise port, bus station and more shopping than you can shake a stick at so it's very convenient. You also have access to the sister resort- Renassasince Ocean Suites across the street which has great pools. The cruise ships are cool to watch as they go right past the hotel to dock.
Overall we would definitly recommend it!
My husband and I just returned from the Renaissance Marina Hotel and had a great time ! I mentioned to the desk when we arrived that we were celebrating our 35th anniversary and they quickly changed our room to a pool and harbor view which was lovely. The service around the hotel from cleaning rooms, servers in all areas and desk and excursion managers was excellent. The all inclusive is the way to go, no fooling around with cash just hand them your card and it is taken care of. Loved the private island and the tender which runs under the hotel to take you over.....not crowded, nice lunch huts and beautiful swimming areas. Iguanas and flamingos for your enjoyment and protected from the wind made a fun experience. We did a ATV tour which was recommended from the hotel and saw the other side of the island which was beautiful.....ruins, desert, cactus and views of the rough side of the water....stunning. Overall great trip!

Hi Sherry,
Nude sunbathing is not tolerated in Aruba, however the Renaissance does own a private island, available only to guests of the resort, which allows topless sunbathing. It offers shuttle service to and from the island.

The island does have two beaches, one for adults only, and one for families. There were no topless swimmers or sun bathers when we were there, although I did not see anything that would prohibit it.

no, not when we were there, but we spent alot of time on the family side where the bar and food were. This was really quiet b/c of the wind and sound of the ocean, there were no screamers, maybe we got lucky...

558 well-appointed rooms and suites in the resort's two areas: Renaissance Ocean Suites and Renaissance Marina Hotel. The Marina Hotel rooms are adults-only and the Ocean Suites rooms are family-friendly. Newly renovated rooms include Internet access, an ironing station, cable TV, in-room safe, mini bar and private balcony or patio. All rooms are SMOKE FREE. Smoking will not be permitted in any guest rooms, corridors or balconies. A recovery fee of $250 will be charged to guests who do not comply.
