Dreamy, spotless sands on a private beach on the western side of the tip of Baja in Cabo San Lucas is where you'll find Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, All Suites Resort & Spa. Offering an extensive menu of Euro-inspired treatments, the Spa at Sunset Beach was named the "#1 Top Hotel Spa in Mexico" and among the "Top 10 Hotel Spas in Mexico, Central and South America" by Travel + Leisure. The spa offers aromatherapies, Swiss showers and spa tubs with plunge pools, but experienced spa-divas dive right into the Honey Sugar Glow, where an exclusive formula of crystallized honey hydrates, exfoliates and smoothes the skin.

Traveled 1/22-1/27/12 Resort itself was beautiful and the grounds were breathtaking. However, because they sell timeshares, I constantly felt like the staff had an ulterior motive and were always trying to upsell. Food was good, not fabulous. Bar/pool food was actually better then restaurant. We didn't try La Frida because we didn't make reservations far enough in advance. Cabo is beautiful but next time I do it, it will be somewhere where there are no timeshares and the whole place is either all inclusive or not.
I went for my honeymoon Aug 25 and was supposed to stay 6 nights but we asked to be transferred to Pueblo Bonito Rose after 1 night. I'm not in a full-blown writing mood, so here are the pros and cons:
PROS
- beautiful facilities
- breathtaking views of the ocean
- TONS of pools so none are ever too crowded
- quiet
CONS
- the grounds are so massive and hilly that you need to take golf carts everywhere. a driver arrives about 30 sec after you call, so waiting wasn't an issue, but i hated being so dependent upon others.
- NOT all-inclusive and everything is pretty expensive (which ruins the mood for me)
- can't swim in the ocean, so you really never leave the resort grounds
- VERY far from the airport, downtown and any other place you'd like to go
- US$100 or more for a taxi to/from the airport
- NO activities whatsover... basically all you do is lay out and spend money
- too quiet
I'm 26 and my husband is 29. This was way too sleepy of a resort for us, not to mention too expensive for our salaries. I'd recommend this resort for families with young kids or older couples who are looking for pure relaxation.

Honeymoon
The hotel was good, except the security guards on the beach not even allowing you to walk along and dip your feet in the shallows. I'm sure it was for good reason, because it looks like it gets deep really fast, but it was very unpleasant having a security guard yell at you for stepping into the ocean waves.
Golf cart transportation was great. Customer service beyond excellent and the room was always a treat to come back to.

What We'd Change
The beach is great for strolling but isn't swimmable due to a strong undertow. But the resort offers a complimentary shuttle to beautiful Medano Beach.
