The resort was not at all what I had expected. The baseboard and shower curtains had mildew on them , the floors tiles were dirty and the bed was uncomfortable, not to mention there was a power outage and other people were stuck in the rooms on the 8th floor for over an hour and we were unable to get cold drinks.

Basic...
The service was the best part of the package. The rooms were a bit rough. The toilet paper roll was falling out of the dry wall and the bedspreads had rips. The beach near the resort had alot of boat smell since it's a stones throw from the cruise ships. The owners could really improve the quality with very little money. The central location was good and the bar had quick service.
I cant lie we had a great time the food on the resort was really good and the service they provide is very helpful and on point. The resort is within walking distance to any taxi or taxi ferries into the city. Also it is in walking distance of Atlantis and public beach. It was definetly worth it especially the unlimited drinks we will definetly go again.
Me & 2 of my girlfriends decided to take a girls only trio and leave the husbands and kids at home to celebrate over 25 years of friendship. We were recommended this trip by a Cheap Caribbean representative. The pictures looked nice and the enthusiasm from the representative secured our decesion that this would be a nice play to stay. The first room that we were sent to was not good. The main door to get in the room didn't shut all the way, the bathroom door would not shut, the phone did not work, the shower had mold in it and the water pressure was awful. We complained and they moved us to another room. The 2nd room was an exact replica of the 1st except that the main door shut. The bathroom door didn't shut either, the bath tub had mold and the water pressure was awful, i.e slow. The pool was actually quite pretty but the water was so cold that we never used it once. The hot tub was gross, gross, gross; dirty as all get out. Would not go in there if I had to. The beach area was so small that there was no where to even take a walk on the beach and collect shells for the little ones back at home. There were 3 restaurants that are on that resort. The 1stis the buffet restaurant which is only open certain hours of the day and the food if anything was Mediocre. The line in the am for omlets was too long to even wait, you had to make your own waffles (there is only 1 waffle maker in the entire restaurant). The pool restaurant took over 45 min to 1 hr to serve our food. To get a drink was even more of a battle. Took on average 10-15 minutes to get one drink. Never a smile on 1 employees face either. The restaurant that you have to make reservations for, we never evn got to see because the earliest reservation we got was 9:30 p.m. which was just too late for us to eat.
The only good thing about this hotel was that it was a 8 minute walk to the Atlantis. So If I had any advice to anyone that has to go to the Bahamas, do not stay at The Paradise Island Harbour Resort.

Cable Beach in the Bahamas has an excellent golf course. The Wyndham Nassau, Sheraton Nassau, and Breezes Bahamas are all in this area and could be exactly what you're looking for! http://www.cheapcaribbean.com/core/qsByDestination/cc.306.html
KateCC
There are several golf courses on paradise island, but not at the Paradise Island Resort. But the deal I got was great for 2 people including air, hotel, rides to and from the hotel and all you can eat and drink. Can't beat it...

$299 weekend Bahama Special
1 year, 15 months ago
Dana17
The weather in the Bahamas at this time of year is usually mild - between 65 and 75 degrees with a 25-30% chance of rain. The $299 special is based on double occupancy, so single travelers won't be eligible for that particular rate. There are swim with the dolphins excursions too, and they range from $100-$200 per person depending on what you're looking for.
KateB
86 and sunny. Pool was not heated
Frankie
The weather is beautiful. It was sunny and 86 (no rain).
You can swin with the dolphins at Atlantis (Majestic Tours) is located inside of Paradise Island Harbour All-Inclusive.
Yazzy
My wife and I just returned from paradise island (May 11th). The weather is beautiful 85 and sunny every day, not a single drop of rain. Bring sunscreen, you will get burnt. There are swim with the dolphin options, but you will have to pay extra.
NickEm
We were on the island May 8 thru May 13. The weather was in the low 80's with no rain. The pool was not heated but the water was very clean and warm.
djbill777
Nassau is a Caribbean Island the weather normally is hot. Yes the hotel have heated pool like a jacuzzi for 8 persons... you'll enjoy!!
BRADALIZ
The weather there were awesome, warm but a constent breeze all the time. It rain once in the morning, but by the time you get up eat and get dressed it was gone. The pool wasn't warm nor was it cold... felt good. The ocean water was warm too. You can do a day with the dolphins for 98.00 includes pick up, boat ride dolphins one on one and back...
wildeopr
The weather in November was very pleasant for our stay - low to mid 80s in the day and around 71-74 at night.
The pool is not heated. Water was a bit chilly in pool.
There is a swim with dolphins option, but we did not go. I *highly* recommend booking any snorkeling or scuba with Stuart Cove. They were very professional with great staff and equipment. The Stuart Cove snorkeling was the best part of our entire trip!
gtfyre
The weather in Feb. was 80-90 degrees during the day and got down to the low 70s at night. The pool was not heated while I was there. We did book a swim with the dolphins at the hotel.
usmdj
Weather 2-19 to 2-25 was 80's and sun/partly cloudy with nice breeze-gorgeous!
The hotel has an office where you can book just about any kind of experience, including dolphin adventures.
The pool was not heated, but not bad. The jacuzzi was warm.
feedback
The weather is a warm 84-87, with pretty intense sun,
The pool and lagoon area were both pretty cool waters, the pool isn't heated at all, and though cold when you first get in, it becomes comfortable very quickly.
No swimming with dolphins at the resort, but it's a short walk to the Atlantis.

There is also a "sit-down" restaurant where you can make reservations and dine Monday-Saturday from 6-10PM. There is a poolside bar and grill serving food and drinks from 10AM-10PM and a lobby bar serving drinks from 6PM-1AM. Yes it includes all meals. The main buffet serves Breakfast from like 6-10am; lunch from 12pm-2pm, and dinner from 6pm-9pm. But they also have a grill outside that you can order food from like 10am-11pm. Everyday they have a them for dinner, and breakfast is usually the same. For breakfast I loved that they have a lady who makes omlets to order. they also have a nice restaurant you have to make reservations for, me and my husband DID NOT like that food at all.
lm127
Yes, the resort is all inclusive. Food, alcohol, hotel. You do not have to pay for anything except if you want bottled water and you get that at the front desk. I bought a bottle then when done took the empty bottle to the poolside bar (Wahoo) and filled it up with tap water.
Yazzy
Yes the resort is all inclusive, fantastic food, one restaurant on site which is part of the all inclusive.

No, this price does not include entry to the waterpark at Atlantis. You would have to purchase a day pass to enjoy the use of the waterpark.

Unfortunately, the resort does not include entry into the Atlantis. The Comfort Suites resort does offer access to the Atlantis in the price.

Paradise Island Harbour Resort has a private, manmade tanning beach with a boardwalk. The resort is also a short eight-minute walk to Paradise Island beach.
MariaCC
The harbor has a man-made beach that is safe to swim in.
KJR2012
You can not swim there it is very shallow and dirty.
If you wanna swim and have a nice beach day you should go to the blue lagoon it is much better there.
The other beach close to the resort is the Cabbage beach you can swim there but is very busy and you might get run over by a jetski.
flicker
It is safe because they have it fenced off. In other words, nothing can get in or out.. However, I would not recommend this hotel at all. The ocen/beach area is small and the hotel is gross, old & dirty.
jennyfash
The pool is not safe and they dont have a beach. I know that it looks like they have access to the beach but they dont ... there is a fence so you cannot get in the water. We had all inclusive package, we stayed there 6 days and we ended up eating out and paying passes to the Atlantis every day so we could enjoy our vacation. Poor, poor, poor ... dont waste your time and money going there.
Arielle
Yes u can they have a man made beach not really deep. But i think u would perfer to swim in the pool. They have a public beach less than a mile away..

Hotel Description
Family-Friendly and Budget-Friendly
Do you want to get away from it all, without all your money getting away? A Bahamas vacation doesn't have to be a workday fantasy anymore: your Caribbean escape is within reach, thanks to Paradise Island Harbour Resort and its all inclusive packages. Located just across the harbor from Nassau, this waterfront resort is both budget-friendly and family-friendly.
Paradise Island Harbour Resort offers supervised kids' activities every day at the Camp Paradise Kids Club. After welcoming each child with a camp backpack at check-in, Camp Paradise amps up the island fun with reggae dance lessons, sandcastle building, nature walks and more. This hotel even has a manmade snorkeling lagoon, where both kids and parents can safely paddle about. You can also splash around in the resort's 300,000-gallon, free-form pool. Unwind in the relaxing Jacuzzi, and then soak up more sun at the private, manmade tanning beach, complete with boardwalk and towel service. When you're ready for a bite to eat, Wahoo's Poolside Grille serves up snacks and cocktails, as well as lunch and dinner.
Speaking of lunch and dinner (and breakfast!), the Paradise Island Harbour Resort all inclusive packages give you two restaurants to choose from. The Captain's Table Buffet overlooks Nassau Harbor and offers themed meals each day. For a la carte dining, make reservations at The Harbourview Restaurant, an upscale, Bahamian steakhouse with signature entrees, like Caribbean-style Abaco barbeque spareribs. After dinner, the evening really heats up with nightly entertainment. Get into the island groove with live Caribbean calypso music. Bahamian dancers, fire spinners and even glass eaters wow you with their tropical talents. The DJ keeps the beats pumping, so you can dance the night away.
With the hotel's complimentary mountain bikes, you can easily explore the rest of the island, too. Even on foot, you're just 10 minutes from Atlantis and its shops, restaurants and casino, which you get to enjoy without the high price of staying there. After all, why fork out that extra money when you can stay in this hotel's spacious rooms at a fraction of the cost?
