"Ocean Club East was great, Opus restaurant outstanding. My only less that great was the staff at the front desk, they didn't seem to want to be bothered with directions, or tours, etc." – RAdams150

A beautiful spot!

Beautiful Beach! There is nothing more beautiful! Great location with clean property and helpful staff. Well priced compared to some of the larger resorts. Plus when we told them it was our 40th anniversary they upgraded our room, which we loved!!!! Everything is expensive on this island and I did expect a better shopping experience but with that said lots of shops are closed for the slow September season. If you go in September get ready for the heat. We will not come back at this time again as it was crazy hot and humid. Didn't stray too far from the beach! We rented a car and we're so glad that we did as we really got to explore this beautiful place. We got to explore some great places to eat. Again, very expensive. We had a kitchen so cook breakfast and lunch some days. .

Best Vacation Ever

My vacation at Ocean Club Resort rates as my best vacation ever. After reading some of the previous reviews, I was not sure what to expect. However, my experience at the resort was extremely positive. The Studio that we stayed in was updated, including the bathroom. It had a kitchenette which was utilized for breakfast and some lunches. It also had a washer/dryer which was an asset. It was a corner unit with a large wrap around patio with a beautiful garden view. The building was the furthest away from the pool and beach, however the walk was short and easy. We used the pool everyday. The pool was clean, with extremely warm and relaxing water. We were always the only ones at the pool when we were in it. We also went to the beautiful beach everyday. The beach chairs were plentiful and we had our pick of where we wanted to be located on the beach. The beach water was warm. The beach was clean and very enjoyable. The restaurant and bar on the property had excellent food and drinks. We ate there several days and utilized the room service that was also provided. The prices were higher than what we were used to, however, we knew that from previous reviews and were not surprised. The onsite convenience store is extremely high with prices but is good for emergency items. The shuttle to the sister property was utilized several days and was appreciated. The sister property is located in town and was convenient to the grocery store and other shops. We rode the free bicycles which are old, but were a fun experience. The fitness room has several updated pieces of equipment which we did not use, but we were impressed with the facility. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful with providing information. The other staff on the property were also pleasant. Overall it was an excellent vacation and we will return. We went at a slow time of the year, August 20-26, 2016 and enjoyed every minute of it. The weather was perfect. The resort is fantastic.

Nothing special

Overall, a reasonable place to stay. The room was clean and adequate. However, the front desk staff were unwelcoming, even rude, on check-in. Certainly no welcoming smile or anything that made you feel that they were glad to have you staying. I had booked a junior suite with two queens, but we were given a King, which we did get after trekking all of the way back to the front desk. One would have thought that a bit of an upgrade would be made available given that the resort was virtually empty. On a more general note, this island is dead in the off season (and, I suspect, in season as well). Apart from a few bars, there was nothing to do at night. The restaurants all closed at 9:30-10 pm. The food was incredibly expensive. The beaches are gorgeous, the reef looks a bit sad with lots of dead coral, but plenty of reef fish and fauna to observe.

Stayed there for 6 days. The beach is absolutely stunning. Snorkeling, not so much, as the bottom is sandy. The accommodations are nice. Fully stocked kitchen allows you to save some money on this island where the prices are higher than the quality. We arrived at 1:30pm. They wouldn't let us in the room until 4pm, no questions asked. We requested a lower level room, they gave us the third (highest) level on the furthermost building. Of course, no elevator. The pools are not too large. In fact, one is rather small, and both can use a little more attention. The water was frequently cloudy. The grounds could have used more care as well. I have seen pristine grounds in Mexico at most hotels. The restaurant is not too good for their prices. We ordered mojitos which were watered down and priced at $12. On the good side, there is plenty of towels, free internet and rinse showers. I recommend renting a car so you are not prisoner to the most expensive area of the island. As a footnote, we are finding out (more and more frequently) that rooms booked through a wholesaler are usually not the best rooms. Ours was nice but the location, as stated, was on the furthermost building on the top floor with no elevator. Wholesalers should either negotiate a better deal or disclose to the traveler that the accommodations are not the best in the house.

Ocean Club: Stake a Claim at Ocean Club Resort in the Turks and Caicos

When it's time for 'me' time, grab the sunscreen and head to Ocean Club and the famous 12-mile long beach. With great golfing close at hand and privileges at a nearby sister resort, this is your dream vacation spot. Ocean Club, on Grace Bay Beach, is the perfect vacation destination.

Lie down on one of the complimentary loungers and close your eyes, letting the warm sun melt away stress. Or take a stroll along the water's edge and feel your heart beat in time to the wind and waves. When it's time for a swim, Ocean Club Resort offers two pools surrounded by lush, tropical gardens and barbecue grills available for guest use. Or snag one of the cozy hammocks and settle in for a nap filled with sweet mango dreams.

For a more activity, try the fitness center, tennis courts and complimentary bicycles to explore the local area. Ocean Club in the Turks and Caicos and Provos Turtle Diving Center is right here. Let them take you on an underwater trip to colorful Caribbean reefs. Or if you're still in knots, let the professionals at Spa Tropique fix you up with a Turks Island Salt Glow, a treatment that uses local sea salts. The golfers in the family love Provo Golf Club, which is adjacent to Ocean Club. Listed by Travel+Leisure Magazine as one of the Caribbean's Top Ten Courses, this challenging Karl Litten course gives beginners and professionals a great day on the links.

When the dinner bell rings, Cabana Bar and Grille on the beach and Opus Wine Bar and Grill offer international cuisine, indoors or under the stars. Or take the complimentary shuttle to Ocean Club West, for French/Caribbean fusion that is so worth the trip.

After a full day you'll be swept off to dreamland in one of the resort's comfortable suites. Between the expansive beach, gorgeous golf course and spacious suites, you'll never feel cramped during this vacation!
