Don't fall for time share

I found resort very beautiful but thought service was not very good. Had a bees nest on wall outside of the room's patio. Reported it several times, like 7, and nothing was ever done about it. Also got picked to have meeting on a time share. Tried to get out of it, because I didn't want to waste my time or there's, but got guilted into listening to it. Very bad experience.

Won't Be Back!!!!!

Pros: Good food at most restaurants--Nice view from balcony---Pretty & colorful architecture--Room frig stocked with soda, water & beer--Layout of resort good for walking everywhere--most of employees very friendly. Cons: No hot tubs on property--no elevators--ice machines didn't work...bed & pillows very hard----WIFI didn't work !!!!! We arrived and immediately were greeted by one of the H10 people, wanting us to attend a "1 hour" meeting concerning their "Priviledge" program. My husband did not want to attend it, but unfortunately listened to his wife (me!!!) who wanted to give them just a little time, since our H10 host said that he would benefit if we just showed up for a bit. Trust me, I should have listened to my husband! After listening to a lot of B.S. from high pressure, pushy salesmen concerning their timeshares and never hearing a price, we left...75 minutes later! Never again!! When we first arrived, after checking in we were shown to our rooms and told that our luggage would be brought up in 10 minutes. They didn't bring them up until almost an hour later! We checked out our room and none of the lights worked and there was hair in the tub! We were going to ask for a different room, but saw some employees and told them what was going on. They told us you had to insert your room key card into a slot just inside the door to make the lights work....nobody had told us that! The room was very nice with a nice balcony and stocked frig. There was also a complimentary bottle of wine...and it was awful! We had to add 7-up to it just to make it palatable!! They had a daily itinerary, but nothing on it ever seemed correct. We had planned to go on an nature walk that was supposed to happen at 10:00 one of the days, but no one ever showed up. The food was very good, especially in the Sensai Restaurant. Margarita Mexican Restaurant was very good, as was the buffet where we ate most of our meals. Mike's Coffee shop is totally awesome! My husband swears by #21 on the menu! They had a climbing wall that was never manned, even though it was listed in the daily itinerary. Very few of the fountains were working, and a lot of the resort was run down. It was too windy all but one or two days to swim in the ocean, and the pools were too cold, so my husband was disappointed about that. Also, there were no hot tubs anywhere on the property! We are very happy to be back home now and will definitely do a LOT of research before trying another all-inclusive resort!

Will not return

Let me start by saying the Entertainment staff were a lot of fun...However, the beach was fully eroded and almost inaccessible at times. The restaurants were tiny and hard to get into without waiting in long lines for an hour before they open. So, most of the time people just went to the buffet, which is not open all day, just certain hours. Room service is not all inclusive unless you are "privilege" guests. Disappointed

Good for kids

We went to the ocean blue with 14 family members Including six kids 12 and under. The kids were crazy about the buff phase and strikes which is the place kids can hang out and play pool bowl put your hockey and play video games. The pools were large and the beach was nice enough. There was plenty of programming including water aerobics table tennis tournaments dance lessons etc. The entertainment at night with Kitchy but lots of fun ( then you'd actually pay additional dollars for but again fun). The options at the bar were great and include anything you would expect, except for the limited and not so great wine options and the very limited beer selection being essentially only local . My disappointment centers around 4 aspects. It felt very much like the servers attention was contrived and with the purpose of getting a tip as opposed to genuine; The rooms were somewhat poor especially the pull out bed which thankfully we only needed for a 10-year-old. The pillows were awful and we had a constant leak in the bathroom floor that causes concern and we always had to throw a towel over . It was not proper places to hang things to allow them to dry which meant that everything felt damp and dirty all the time. Addition for the first four days we were there the phone in the room was not operating . The third item that irked me was the lack of service at the pool and on the beach... to get a drink or food you had to go to the bar or to the buffet at lunchtime. Leads me to my fourth disappointment which was the inability to have made to order simple lunch; the only option at lunchtime was a buffet that tended to be the same every day of the week. I suppose these disappointments wouldn't be so if it was a five-star resort and hence the four star rating. All in all it was a very relaxing and enjoyable trip but I was very happy to leave at the end of my time there .

Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort, Punta Cana: Get Ready to Double Down

If life feels like one long day after another, give yourself permission to check out the magnificent Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort. The Ocean Blue and Ocean Sand share facilities, which means twice the activities of an average resort by offering dining and amenities for every one of their guests with access to both resorts. Each resort houses half of the combined 708 five-star suites and junior suites. VIP concierge service is offered for Privilege Jr. Suites.

Located along the lush Dominican Republic's Punta Cana, this all-inclusive dreamboat offers water activities, such as snorkeling, windsurfing and scuba diving, plus unique ways to see the sights, including a cool beachfront climbing wall. Float under swaying palm trees in the quiet pool or order a margarita and join the party at the other pool's swim-up bar. When you've had enough water fun, channel your inner Robin Hood at the archery range, shoot pool like Minnesota Fats, or peddle like Lance Armstrong on a bike.

If you're feeling in need of pampering, relax at Ocean Spa, then grab an Irish Coffee at Mike's, the coffeehouse at Ocean Blue & Sand. Fully caffeinated and ready to go, cash in at the Ocean Tower Casino, or strike out with the family at the bowling alley. If bowling balls aren't your cup of tea, splurge a little and grab a tee-time at nearby White Sands Golf Course, an 18-hole course designed by Spanish golf great, Jose "Pepe" Gancedo.

Guests can have their taste buds tickled with a smattering of delicious dining options from El Bodegon's Spanish tapas, to Route 66's 1950s diner, to La Casa de Mi Abuela's traditional Dominican fare. Dine where you like, when you like, with no reservations needed. And for those who really rock around the clock, you can play the night away at the resort's Wave Disco Bar.
