worst hotel ever!
Seriously I could go on and on why this place was so bad, bottom line- it was the most horrible experience. Hotel room smelled so bad (mold, damp and musty) asked to switch rooms three times, they refused. Literally had to switch hotels during our stay it was so bad. Staff was so rude and ignorant, really tried to make the best of it as we were in paradise, however do yourself a favor DO NOT STAY HERE! its not a 5 star, it is a 1 star hotel at best. Take this warning and trust me- GO ELSEWHERE!
This was the most amazing Vacation EVER!!! We had NO troubles at the resort, they gave us a free upgrade when we got there and we did not even ask for it! The waiters were great, the bar tenders were great! We tipped them well and they too very good care of us! I HIGHLY recommend this resort, and Cheap Caribbean was very good to us!
This hotel (Oasis Playa) previously was for adults (over 23 yoa) only. Since we stayed we have heard they changed and kids are welcome. We loved this hotel. They gave us a senior upgrade. No hassle. Food was great. Service was great. The pools were excellent. The bartenders always gave you a decent drink. Not watered down. This sister hotels do not compare to this one. The price was good. The staff was always willing to help you with any problem you might have. I just can't say enough about this hotel. Well worth the money. We enjoyed it because there were no kids running around. We love our grandchildren but when we are on vacation we don't want a bunch of screaming, out of control kids when all we went to do is relax. We stayed more than once but have not stayed since they are no longer adults only. But I'm sure the service and lodging is still great.
The hotel itself if very pretty. The staff is not very helpful, they really don't pay any attention to anyone. The food was just okay, and the drinks were watered down. The only good part was the sushi bar and the hamburgers by the pool. The beach was excellent on one end, the other end was covered in rocks.

The Grand Sunset and Grand Ocean are two room categories which are located in separate sections within the resort.

The sunset rooms are on the west side of the building, you don't see the ocean. We didn't send much time in the room so it didn't matter to us.

Room Information
The Oasis Sens has 322 rooms, many with a balcony and 66 suites with an expanded terrace. All rooms have a beautiful view of either the Caribbean Ocean or Nichupte Lagoon. They are equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom, King Size beds, TV with cable service, coffee maker, hair dryer, direct dial telephone ($), Mini-bar with water, sodas & beers, safety deposit box ($) and amenities.
The pyramid shape of the hotel offers great views of the Caribbean sea from nearly every oceanview room. This is a lively resort, with alot of dining options.

Hotel Description
A huge activity pool includes a raised section containing a shaded swim-up bar. Above this pool and connected by a waterfall is a "quiet" pool surrounded by padded teak lounge chairs and palm trees shading more lounge chairs. Three hammock areas also offer shade. Fronting the resort and featuring thatch shades is part of the 10-km (six-mile), powdery white-sand beach with areas to sun-bathe and plenty of sand. The beach includes: parasols, towel service, and beach chairs.
A modern Spa provides a calm atmosphere featuring massages, facials, botox, waxing, and a Temazcal. A small air-conditioned fitness center contains universal gyms, cardio machines, and free weights. For extra luxury, treat yourself to the VIP category where you will have amenities such as an extended balcony/terrace with an over-sized whirlpool, upgraded mini-bar, use of the tranquil Sunset Infinity Pool and other wonderful upgrades!
Access is included to the Up and Down disco at the Grand Oasis Cancun (two miles away) which is open nightly (except Saturday) and is the host of the famous Foam Party on Thursday night.
Golfers can enjoy rounds on a 9-hole executive golf course at sister resort, Oasis Cancun, three km (two miles) away. Greens fees are complimentary to hotel guests; golf equipment is available for rent. Cancun also has two 18-hole golf courses. Hilton Cancun Golf Club is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) away and Cancun Golf Club is 12.5 km (eight miles) from the hotel.

OASIS RUNAWAY PROGRAM: Guests staying at any of the Oasis Hotels and Resorts on an all-inclusive basis will be able to visit and enjoy the other Oasis resorts for the day, having access to all food and beverage outlets and resort facilities. The ID system will be based on their wrist bracelet. Guests staying at the Oasis Sens (formerly known as Sens del Mar) property will be able to visit any other Grand Oasis or Oasis Resort as described above. Guests of any Oasis property will have access to other Oasis properties only, without charge. Guests are required to visit the Oasis Plus concierge desk to make arrangements one day prior to visiting any other Oasis participating resort. Transportation cost is not included.
